Sovereign of the Ashes-Chapter 1312: Pooled Together
When Sein finally found Lorianne, his mentor and the others were chatting with a group of pyro elemental creatures.
Every large-sized plane within the Magus Alliance had close ties to one or more of the top powers in Magus World.
The one most affected by resource redistribution at this conference was Violet Ember World.
At the moment, the ones speaking with Lorianne and the others were several Rank Four and above pyro elementals from that world.
“Don’t worry. Regarding your wishes, I’ll communicate with the other Rank Six members of the Pyro Secret Society afterward,” Feylis said to the Rank Six pyro elemental creature in front of her.
The humanoid face formed by the elemental’s flames showed a flicker of hesitation and bitterness.
Truth be told, they had hoped Feylis would speak to Zenasus, the Rank Seven soul overmage, on their behalf instead.
Aside from Feylis, Aelid was also chatting enthusiastically with the pyro elemental creatures.
Aelid, the Blazing Sword, had advanced to Rank Four in Violet Ember World and clearly had strong connections with several Rank Four pyro elementals there.
In terms of resources, Violet Ember World lagged far behind Amethyst World, another elemental plane. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Even so, it barely managed to hold onto its status as a large-sized plane and fared better than many others. So, there was no harm in building friendships with Violet Ember World’s elemental creatures.
After seeing off these pyro elementals, several more Magus Alliance members came forward to bid farewell.
Grandmaster Feylis truly lived up to her status as a veteran powerhouse of over a hundred thousand years. Her connections within the Magus Alliance were pretty vast.
Even the grandest banquet must come to an end.
With the conclusion of this conference, everyone needed to return home and prepare for the war. There was not enough time to waste.
Sein exchanged farewells with the Phantom Crow King, the Eternal Sand Lord, the Sandworm Queen, Eugene the God of Half-Beastmen, and Senarius the half-eleven god, who personally came forward to greet him.
In terms of the connections revealed during this Magus Alliance Conference, Sein had already surpassed Lorianne and Aelid.
Aelid, who had been waving goodbye to two Rank Four pyro elementals, froze in shock when the Rank Six Phantom Crow King personally approached Sein to bid him farewell.
Senarius, the half-elven god, came to pay his respects to Sein, likely in response to the motion the latter had raised during the convention.
Sein also spotted Reksha, a powerhouse from Beastmen World, but saw no sign of the Drunken Panda Immortal.
He had no idea whether the Drunken Panda Immortal had chosen not to attend this conference or was simply avoiding him after having his blood drawn twice in a row.
After speaking with all the foreign deities who had approached her, Feylis signaled for her apprentices and grand apprentices to leave with her.
Outside Howling Stone World, Feylis had a private starship docked—a sleek custom build from the Norman Federation, one of the technological worlds within the alliance.
Sein had never expected a traditional mage like her to use products from a technological civilization.
The overlord-level beings who had attended the convention were among the first to leave.
Almost as soon as the conference ended, their overwhelming auras faded one by one as they disappeared from the scene.
Perhaps they had not left Howling Stone World entirely. Still, given the nature of the discussions, there were likely many more details about the Clash of Civilizations they needed to handle privately.
“Lorianne told me you need seventy million magicoins to get a Golden Apple? What’s going on?” Feylis asked after boarding the advanced starship, crossing her legs as she settled into a chair.
When it came to appearance, Feylis far outshone Lorianne. Although Lorianne was beautiful and had glass skin, she was a little too short.
She now stood silently behind Feylis, waiting for Sein’s explanation.
Inside the starship, all the passengers were members of the Verdant Flame Faction.
Since the seventy million magicoins would be pooled together by them, Feylis had every right to ask her grand apprentice what he intended to do with it.
Sein scratched his head and replied, “I met a Titan god while buying a space fortress from the Capiche Business Alliance. He said he could get one for me. After getting to know him better this time at Howling Stone World, I’m confident he can deliver the promised item.”
He did not mention that it was Thor who had helped him acquire the Golden Apple, as the method involved was questionable and best left unspoken.
If this were accidentally exposed, both of them would be in trouble.
“Who is he exactly, and can we really trust him?” Aelid blurted out. He knew exactly what a Golden Apple was.
It was a treasure more valuable than even some world-class secret artifacts, so he had a hard time believing it could be bought for a mere seventy million magicoins.
“Oh? You have already purchased a space fortress?!” Master Feylis asked in surprise. Clearly, her attention was elsewhere.
“Well... I took out a bit of a loan,” Sein replied vaguely. On top of that, he still owed the Magus Alliance a loan for his divine tower.
Just then, a sharp, shrill sound came from outside the starship, followed by a streak of blue-violet lightning cutting through the starry sky.
Sein turned his head to see Thor, the God of Thunder, speeding past in his beloved spacecraft.
The guy was obviously waving at him.
There had been far too many foreign deities and Magus World powerhouses trying to get their attention when they had left the convention, so Thor had not even managed to say goodbye to Sein.
Luckily, Thor’s elder sister, the second-in-command of Titan World, was far better at socializing than Thor ever was.
If all that social nonsense had fallen on Thor’s shoulders, he would have gone mad.
Of course, this might have also been Thor’s way of reminding Sein of their deal.
When Thor finally disappeared into the stars in his luxury spacecraft, Feylis turned back to Sein and asked, “So, he’s that Titan god you mentioned?”
She clearly knew Thor, and Sein nodded.
Feylis did not ask any more questions. She clapped her hands and said, “Alright then. Seventy million magicoins. We’ll have it ready for you as soon as possible!”
“I can contribute thirteen million. I just acquired a pyro elemental star core, so I’m a bit strapped for cash at the moment,” Gregory said.
“The two of us can manage eleven million. With the coming war, that’s already our limit,” Bernice offered, also speaking for Berecca, who never left her side.
Lorianne blushed slightly and stated she could only provide six million magicoins.
She had earned a lot during the previous White Sand World War and had since befriended several Amethyst World elemental kings, but her income and her spending were perfectly balanced—both sky-high.
During this conference, Lorianne had also poured huge amounts of money into buying rare raw materials from Grand Elven World, Activator Fairy World, Floral Psychic World, and several other planes for her potion experiments.
Potion research burned through funds as quickly as alchemy, if not faster, and Lorianne also had other research projects devouring money at an alarming rate.
Her “world laboratory” project itself was already a bottomless pit.
Still, she was not the one who contributed the least.
Sein’s senior, Aelid, awkwardly said he could put up two million magicoins.
