Souls Online: Mythic Ascension-Chapter 430: All Zodiac Bonds Assigned
Leo rubbed his temples as the chat continued to flood with hearts, emojis, and endless lines of screaming text. Jamie was still waving at the camera, posing with his tongue out as if the moment couldn't possibly get any better.
"Alright, that's enough," Leo said finally, his voice calm but carrying a quiet authority that made the others turn. "Jamie, turn the stream off. We have things to discuss."
Jamie blinked, clearly not expecting that tone. "Eh? But we're trending right now! Look at this! Five hundred thousand live viewers!" He held the phone toward Leo as if the number would change his mind.
"It doesn't matter," Leo replied. "There are things that shouldn't be shared live. End it."
Jamie pouted dramatically. "Aww, but they just met everyone! And we looked so good too." He hugged his phone to his chest as though it were a cherished pet. Then, slowly, his eyes lit up with a mischievous gleam that made everyone uneasy.
"Wait," he said, voice rising in excitement. "What if I became the Chaos Pantheon's official media manager? I can handle the guild's social media presence! Updates, clips, livestreams, announcements! Everything! Think about it! We could build a community, raise awareness, get sponsorships....Maybe even merch!"
Morgan groaned quietly. "You're already thinking about merch?"
"Of course," Jamie replied proudly, placing his hands on his hips. "We have legends here! You're sitting on a goldmine of fan engagement!"
Greg muttered under his breath, "This is going to end badly."
Luna rubbed her temple, her eyes twitching with frustration. "I already hate this idea."
Rachel, however, looked amused. "I dunno. Could be fun. The Chaos Pantheon finally interacting with the people again. Maybe it'll help our reputation."
Ethan, still sprawled on the floor, lifted a lazy hand. "As long as it doesn't involve me doing interviews, I don't care."
Jamie clasped his hands together in mock pleading. "Come on, please? I'll be responsible. Promise!"
"Those are words I have never heard you say and actually follow through. Remember the turtle incident?" Morgan asked with a raised brow.
Jamie gasped. "That was a one time thing! And technically the fire wasn't my fault."
Adam had a look of confusion while Morgan followed up with "You set an aquarium tank on fire trying to give a turtle a bath....I still don't understand how you did it."
Leo sighed deeply, his patience thinning. He looked around at the others, meeting their uncertain gazes before finally exhaling in defeat. "Fine. You can handle the social media, but keep the streams limited. And run everything through me first."
Jamie's face lit up like a child on their birthday. "Yesss! I knew you'd see reason, Leo! Or I should be calling you Boss~?" He quickly turned back to the camera and gave a sparkling smile. "Alright, cuties, that's all for today! Thank you for tuning in to this historic reunion! The Chaos Pantheon is officially back, and your beloved Princess Archer is now one of them!"
The chat exploded one final time before Jamie blew a kiss to the camera. "Stay cute, stay chaotic, and I'll see you next time~!"
He pressed the stop button dramatically and turned back to the group with a proud grin. "There. Perfect sign-off."
Leo pinched the bridge of his nose. "You're impossible."
"Thank you," Jamie said sweetly.
Before Leo could respond, the system notification appeared before him once more.
[Zodiac Bond: Horse – Initiating Binding Sequence]
Leo raised his hand slightly, the faint light of the bond gathering around his palm. "Alright, Jamie. Hold still."
Jamie perked up. "Is it going to hurt?"
"It shouldn't," Leo replied, though he wasn't entirely sure. He activated the skill, and a faint pulse of light spread outward, washing over Jamie in a gentle wave.
For a second, nothing happened. Then Jamie yelped loudly, jumping in surprise as his hands flew to his backside. "Ow! Something bit me!"
Everyone blinked in confusion.
Jamie turned around, lifting the back of his skirt slightly with a pout. "Brother, can you check what bit me?"
Vivian froze instantly, her face turning crimson as she tried not to look. Unfortunately, she failed completely. The moment Jamie lifted his skirt, the frilly pink panties underneath were revealed, decorated with tiny white bows and lace trim. Vivian clutched her nose, feeling the faint sting of a potential nosebleed.
Ethan, sitting nearby, choked on his drink. "Why… why is he wearing that?!"
Adam, standing beside him, turned away immediately, his face pale. "Does anybody have any bleach on hand. I need it for my eyes and brain. I did not want to see that!"
Rachel burst out laughing so hard she fell to her knees. "Oh my god! Jamie! What are you wearing?!"
Jamie looked genuinely confused. "What? They're comfortable!"
Luna's face was an unreadable mix of amusement and disapproval. "You're unbelievable."
Morgan covered his face with both hands. "I cannot believe we share blood."
Vivian tried to compose herself, coughing awkwardly. "A-anyway… there's a mark on your left side. Just above the thigh."
Jamie twisted around in place, trying to look but failing. "What kind of mark?"
"It's of a horse. It's like a tattoo. We all have one."
"Wait! Really?! DId I just join a cult?!" Jamie asked with a look of horror.
Leo exhaled through his nose, barely holding back a groan as he muttered, "It's not a cult, Jamie. It's a bond. You just became part of something bigger. Try to act like it."
Jamie pouted again, lowering his skirt back into place as he muttered under his breath, "Feels like a cult…" Then, almost immediately, his playful grin returned. "Still, it's kinda cute, right? Matching tattoos for the team! We should totally do a photo shoot."
Morgan's voice was muffled behind his hands. "Please stop talking." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Rachel was still giggling, tears in her eyes. "Oh no, keep talking. This is the best entertainment I've had all week."
Vivian was still red-faced and trying to maintain some form of composure, but her eyes darted away from Jamie every few seconds. "C-can we move on from… this… before someone else loses it?"
Leo ignored the chaos for a moment, checking for a notification now that all 12 Zodiacs had been assigned.
But nothing happened.
