Sold to Bastard Alpha after My Divorce!-Chapter 175
Aria’s POV
I drove straight to Blood Crown Industries.
The evidence was burning a hole in my bag. Photos. Statements. Recordings. Everything I’d collected over the past few hours.
My hands were steady on the wheel. My mind clear. Focused.
No more waiting. No more hesitation.
It was time.
The elevator ride to Kael’s floor felt impossibly long. Each second stretching. Each floor passing too slowly.
Finally, the doors opened.
I walked straight to his office. Didn’t stop at my desk. Didn’t pause to check emails or answer calls.
Just walked right up to his door and knocked.
"Come in."
I pushed it open.
Kael was at his desk. Phone pressed to his ear. His expression serious. All business.
Then he saw me.
His whole face changed. Softened. That warm look appearing in his eyes.
He held up one finger. *One minute.*
I nodded. Closed the door behind me. Waited.
"Yes. I understand. Send me the updated reports by end of day." His voice was clipped. Professional. "Good. That’s all."
He hung up. Set the phone down. Turned his full attention to me.
"Hi." That devastating smile. "Wasn’t expecting to see you until lunch."
"I need your help." The words came out flat. Direct.
His smile faded immediately. He stood. Walked around the desk.
"What’s wrong? Is it Lina? "
"She’s fine." I pulled the folder from my bag. Set it on his desk. "But I need you to look at this."
He opened it.
I watched his face as he went through the contents. Page by page. Photo by photo.
His expression darkened with each one.
The pictures of Lilith’s bruises. The teacher’s written statement. The neighbors’ testimonies. The recording of Mrs. Patterson describing Lilith’s behavior changes.
Everything.
When he finally looked up, his eyes were pure red.
Fenrir was close to the surface. Barely contained.
"Where are they?" His voice was deadly quiet. "Where’s Finn right now?"
"I don’t know." I crossed my arms. "But that’s not why I’m here."
He blinked. Confusion flickering across his face.
"You want me to handle this legally." Understanding dawned. "Through proper channels."
"Yes."
He studied me for a long moment. Those red eyes searching my face.
"Are you sure about this?" His voice was careful. Measured. "I’ve seen Lilith before. She’s not like Lina. She’s..." He paused. Chose his words carefully. "She hurt you, Aria. Made your life hell for years. And now you want to take her back? Protect her? After everything?"
The question hung in the air.
I took a breath. Let it out slowly.
"I’m sure." Each word was deliberate. Firm. "A child’s personality isn’t something they create on their own. It’s shaped by the people around them. By what they’re taught. By how they’re treated."
My hands clenched at my sides.
"Lilith was awful to me because Finn and Celestia MADE her that way. They poisoned her against me. Made her believe I was worthless. That I didn’t deserve love or respect."
Kael didn’t interrupt. Just listened.
"But she’s still my daughter." My voice got stronger. More certain. "And I’m her mother. Which means it’s MY job to raise her properly. To teach her right from wrong. To show her what real love looks like."
I met his eyes directly.
"I brought Lina into this world with nothing. Built a life for us from scratch. Made her into the kind, loving child she is today." Pride filled my chest. "And I can do the same for Lilith. I WILL do the same for Lilith."
Silence.
Kael stared at me. Something shifting in those red depths.
Then, slowly, a smile appeared.
Not his usual devastating grin. Not that cocky Alpha smirk.
This was different. Softer. Full of something that looked like admiration.
"You’re incredible." The words came out quiet. Almost awed. "You know that?"
My face heated.
"I’m just doing what any mother would do."
He cupped my face gently.
"You’re willing to fight for her. To give her another chance. To see past the hurt she caused and focus on the child who needs saving."
His thumb brushed my cheek.
"That’s not what ’any mother’ would do, Aria. That’s what an EXCEPTIONAL mother would do."
Tears burned behind my eyes.
I blinked them back. Refused to let them fall.
"So." Kael stepped back. His expression shifting. All business now. "You collected this evidence yourself. Talked to the teachers and neighbors. Got written statements and recordings."
"Yes."
"Why?"
The question caught me off guard.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean—" He gestured at the folder. "You could have come to me first. Told me what was happening. I have a thousand ways to make Finn’s life miserable. Could have had people collecting evidence while you stayed safe at home."
I lifted my chin. Met his gaze directly.
"Because I needed to do it myself." Each word was firm. Final. "I needed to look them in the eye. To see exactly what they’d become. What they’d done to my daughter."
My voice got harder.
"And I needed to be the one who gathered the proof. Not you. Not your people. ME."
My hands clenched into fists.
"So yes, I want revenge. I want to be the one who brings them down. Who makes them pay for everything they’ve done. Not as some distant observer. Not letting someone else fight my battles."
I stepped closer. Right up to him.
For a moment, I thought Kael might try to talk me out of it. Might tell me revenge wasn’t healthy or that I should let it go or some other reasonable, mature advice.
Instead, he laughed.
A real laugh. Deep and genuine. Full of absolute delight.
"God, I love you." The words tumbled out. Easy. Natural. Like he said them every day.
My heart stuttered.
He grabbed the folder. Started organizing the contents.
"Okay. Here’s what we’re going to do." His voice shifted. All Alpha now. Commanding. Efficient. "I’m going to take this evidence to our legal team. Have them prepare a full case file."
He continued typing.
"As Alpha, I have authority to investigate threats to pack members. Especially children." His voice was cold. Absolute.
"Also issued arrest warrants." His voice was calm. Matter-of-fact. "For both Finn Nightfang and Celestia. Charges include child abuse, child neglect, and child endangerment."
