Soccer System: All the Skills, One Player!-Chapter 212 - 211 - Champions League Final (Part 6)
The second half began with even more intensity.
Bayern Munich, aware of the urgency of the scoreline, pushed forward with full force, putting pressure on Brighton's ball.
Lucas felt that this game was more than just an Under-20 Champions League final. It was a turning point in his career.
"And the second half begins! Bayern Munich are already pushing up their lines to put pressure on Brighton! They know they can't waste any time!" The narrator excitedly described every detail.
The first few minutes were a genuine test for Brighton's defense.
Nishida, with his impressive physical strength and refined ball control, was like a tank advancing against the defenders. In one move, he received a pass between the lines and pushed Luiz Fernando with his shoulders, leaving the defender behind before unleashing a left-footed shot.
"NISHIDA KICKS HARD...! ANTON'S SAVE! WHAT A SPECTACULAR SAVE BY THE BRIGHTON GOALKEEPER!"
Anton stood up quickly and shouted for his teammates to reorganize.
Lucas felt a chill when he saw the determination in Nishida's eyes. His friend always had that sparkle in his eyes when he played, that obsession with scoring goals.
But Lucas was different. And that's exactly what he proved in the next play.

Recovering a ball in midfield, Lucas Tanaka raised his head and spotted a gap between Bayern's defensive lines. With a quick touch, he set up Raphael on the left wing, who raced forward. Brighton counter-attacked dangerously. Raphael cut into the middle and saw Miguel infiltrating the area.
"Brighton are coming at us at speed! It could be a dangerous move!"
Raphael crossed low, but Bayern's defense cut him off. The ball fell to Lucas on the edge of the box. He could have shot, but passed. With a subtle touch, he found Denis breaking free.
"What vision from Lucas Tanaka! He simply took the defense apart with that pass!"
Denis shot high, but the ball rebounded off the crossbar. Brighton had almost extended their lead.
The minutes passed, and the game became more and more intense.
Lucas and Nishida were engaged in a duel within a duel.
The commentator, observing the contrast between the two, didn't hold back.
"I know it may sound hasty, but this game has a special feel to it. We're seeing two brilliant players with opposite styles who could, in the future, be big names in world soccer. Tsuyoshi Nishida reminds me a bit of Cristiano Ronaldo, always looking for the goal, always hungry to score. Lucas Tanaka, on the other hand, has something of Messi in his game. He's not a physically explosive player, but his intelligence, his vision of the game and his ability to control the pace are impressive."
Even the most skeptical man could not deny that the two young Japanese were the protagonists of this final.
In a dangerous move, Nishida received a perfect cross into the box and headed it wide. Anton, with unbelievable reflexes, saved it for a corner.
"ANOTHER GREAT SAVE FROM ANTON! BRIGHTON'S GOALKEEPER IS PULLING OFF THE IMPOSSIBLE!"
"Fuck! Someone mark their nine!!!" Anton shouted.
At the same time, at the Wushia School in a Japanese country town, a small video room was packed.
There, several youngsters and an old coach were attentively watching the Champions Youth League final.
Hidefumi, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed, kept a sleepy expression, but his eyes were fixed on the screen.
Yuuga, sitting next to him, gestured excitedly whenever Nishida or Tanaka touched the ball. "That's it, Nishida! Finish them!" he exclaimed, clenching his fists. "But... wow, look at the way Tanaka's playing... that pass was pure genius!"
For his part, Tsukada didn't want to show any exaggerated emotion. After all, Tanaka had stolen his place in the first team last month.
"Hmph. Nishida is playing as well as ever. A monster in the box. But Tanaka..." He narrowed his eyes. "He's changed. He wasn't like this in high school. He seems to play with an absurd amount of confidence now."
Kuwabara, the most animated of the group, practically jumped on the sofa.
"Oh, my God! This is like watching a soccer anime, but in real life! Holy shit! Anton's catching everything! Nishida is unstoppable! Tanaka's playing like he's the protagonist of a manga!" He laughed out loud, tapping Yuuga on the shoulder.
"Ouch, ouch~" Yuuga complained about the slaps.
Toshinori was keeping his eyes on the game, analyzing every move. "That goalkeeper from Tanaka's team is superb! What a son of a bitch... I wanted to be there too."
"Bayern's pressure is frightening." Kenji said. He had his elbows resting on his knees. "If Brighton loses possession near the back, it could be fatal. Tanaka needs to control the pace of the midfield more."
Yukihiro, who until then had been excited, sighed and crossed his arms. "Ugh... this game is making me nervous. They're holding on to the lead, but for how long? I feel like if Nishida scores one, Bayern will turn the game around."
Kenji just nodded. "It depends on who misses first."
Mr. Yamamoto, the old Japanese coach who had once trained Tanaka and Nishida, held his cup of tea with both hands. His wrinkled eyes didn't miss a detail and sparkled at the sight of two of his pupils shining in Europe.
"Tanaka... Nishida..." he murmured. "They've both grown a lot since they left here. I always said that Tanaka needed to believe more in his own talent. It seems he's finally understood."
The tension in the room increased when Nishida received the ball inside the box. He took it on his chest, spun around Luiz Fernando and hit a first-time shot. Daniel jumped with his head in front of the ball and his shot almost knocked him out.
Yuuga grabbed the cushion next to him and hugged him tightly. "MY GOD! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"
Toshinori smiled slightly. "These players... they're on another level."
Kuwabara tapped the table. "What an incredible game! I wonder who will win!"
Hidefumi smiled slightly, finally showing a little emotion. "Ah... this reminds me of old times." He looked at Yamamoto. "Nishida and Tanaka were always like that, weren't they? Each shining in their own way."
The old coach nodded, taking another sip of tea. "Yes. But now, they're no longer just promises. They're reality."
