SMUT: I Summoned The Demon Lord curvey and broken Daughter-Chapter 55: Training ground 3 (The manticore)
Minato sidestepped the second Cyclops’ swing, bringing the blood pistol up again and firing rapidly. The first Cyclops fell completely, while the second roared in pain, staggering back.
He didn’t wait. Summoning a new weapon with a swift motion and gesture, a long, bloodied blade formed in his hands. He ran forward, dodging the Cyclops’ massive swings, and slashed with controlled, precise strikes. The second Cyclops collapsed to the ground, bleeding to death.
Amelia exhaled, looking forward, a mixture of relief and admiration flooding her expression. She pressed her hands together, almost as if she wanted to reach through the arena to touch him.
"You... you’re incredible," Deborah shouted from her seat, a soft smile tugging at her lips.
Minato lowered his weapon slightly, glancing up at Amelia. Their eyes met for a brief moment, and he gave her a small nod, silently reassuring her that he was fine.
Slowly again, the gates at the far end begin to open up... This time around, it was a large lion with a scorpion tail...
A Manticore...
Amelia’s eyes widened in shock. "W-Why would they send that next?" she whispered. Her voice was cracking slightly. "That’s not a normal stage two creature..."
Elizabeth leaned closer to her, whispering worriedly, "Amelia... this is too much for him."
But Amelia couldn’t answer. Her heart was already pounding violently. She couldn’t sit still anymore...her legs bounced, fingers trembling...
Radelia leaned back casually, watching without worry. "He’ll live... Minato is not that weak to be killed by a manticore," she muttered.
But Amelia didn’t share that sense of calmness with Radelia. Her eyes were locked on Minato, her chest rising and falling faster with every second.
Minato swallowed his saliva; this was a monster he had never faced before, so he decided not to rush forward but to observe its attacking pattern.
Roar...
The manticore slowly walked out of the cage, but something was different. It didn’t rush to attack him as the cyclops did. Instead, it stood still, also watching Minato... waiting for who would attack first.
Then, Minato shifted his stance and the blood sword dissolved back into the familiar shape of the blood pistol he had used to kill the cyclops... but this time, he didn’t summon just one...he summoned two pistols.
Instantly, Minato started running around in circles and began shooting at the manticore.
His shoes were scraping against the arena floor.
The sudden, quick movement made the Manticore’s eyes snap toward him, its scorpion-like tail rising higher in alert.
Minato raised his blood pistol and fired a straight shot at it.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The Shots echoed across the arena as he kept running, never stopping his feet for even a second.
Each bullet streaked with red energy, slamming into the Manticore’s back.
But the creature didn’t move.
It lowered its head and braced itself, the bullets digging into its back but not piercing deep enough.
The Manticore snarled and roared, annoyed more than hurt.
Up in the stands, Amelia stood halfway from her seat, her voice shaking.
"Minato, keep moving! Don’t stop!"
Radelia watched with her eyes narrowed. "He’s provoking it. Good."
Minato kept circling, firing again and again, trying to test its reactions.
But still, the Manticore didn’t chase him.
It only adjusted its body to face him, its tail following his movement like a loaded weapon waiting for the perfect shot.
Minato clenched his teeth.
"So it really won’t attack unless it sees an opening..."
He fired another burst...BANG! BANG!
And kept running...
After a few minutes...
The Manticore suddenly roared, louder than before...its patience had completely run out. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Without warning, it leaned forward and vomited a stream of poison acid straight at Minato.
His eyes widened.
"Shit...!"
He tried to jump aside, but his body was already slowing down from the excessive use of his ability. So he wasn’t fast enough in the moment.
Then the acid splashed across his legs.
"Sssssssss..."
The sound of his flesh melting filled the arena.
Minato collapsed instantly, his legs burning, skin dissolving, his nerves screaming in agony.
He couldn’t even stand...his body froze from the shock.
The Manticore lunged...
Before Minato could lift his arm, the beast slammed him to the ground and bit down into his neck, its fangs tearing into his flesh, bones and muscle.
Blood sprayed across the arena’s sand.
From the audience seat....
"MINATO!!"
Amelia shot to her feet, her eyes turning bright red from rage. She moved to jump over the railing...
...but Elizabeth grabbed her arm, holding her tightly.
"Amelia! Don’t interfere!"
"But he’ll die!! LET GO OF ME!!"
Her voice was cracked, trembling, her entire body shaking with panic.
Radelia swallowed hard. Even she looked shocked.
Below, the Manticore continued tearing into Minato’s neck, shaking him like prey.
Minato’s vision blurred.
His head throbbed. His pulse weakened.
He could feel the warmth of his blood pouring out, soaking the sand, dripping from the creature’s teeth.
He whispered through his clenched teeth..."...Not... yet..."
Then his fingers twitched.
His blood, already spilling heavily from the open wounds, spread across the ground beneath him.
And Minato activated...
[BLOOD BOMB.]
His eyes glowed faintly red for a second as he triggered the skill.
The pools of blood surrounding him suddenly vibrated, heating up, pulsing like living explosives.
The Manticore paused mid-bite, sensing danger too late.
A low hum rose from the blood beneath them.
Minato smirked weakly through the pain.
"Got you..."
The blood beneath Minato pulsed once...
BOOM!
A violent explosion burst upward, blasting directly into the Manticore’s chest and jaw.
The beast was thrown backward, crashing onto the ground several meters away. Its head slammed against the stone floor, dazed and confused, its jaw twitching from the impact.
Minato lay still for a moment, smoke rising from the blood-soaked ground around him.
Amelia covered her mouth with both hands, tears gathering in her eyes.
"Minato... Minato, get up... please get up..."
Elizabeth tightened her grip on Amelia’s shoulder.
"He’s alive. Look closely."
Minato pushed himself up slowly, using his arms alone since his legs were still melted and useless. His breaths were rough, pained, but steady. Blood clung to his neck where the Manticore had torn into him.
