Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 246: Never Seen a Woman So Oblivious
Cecilia glared hatefully at Julian Keaton, her body already sensitive under his manipulation.
Plus, Julian Keaton’s malicious advances left her completely defenseless.
Cecilia clenched her fists and shouted into the phone, "Evelyn, I’ll find an opportunity to properly explain everything to you later!"
"Oh." Evelyn Morgan responded, "It’s okay. If you don’t want to tell me, you must have your reasons. It’s fine if you don’t want to say anything."
"Then... are you really okay?" Cecilia asked, "You... uh... Julian, don’t..."
Her voice unconsciously leaked out, Cecilia quickly covered her mouth, anxious tears almost falling.
On the other end, Evelyn was startled and immediately said, "You take care of your things first!"
Then, she hurriedly hung up the phone.
She could obviously tell what Cecilia and Julian Keaton were doing at that moment.
Oh my God!
They were... too crazy, indeed!
Hearing the busy tone from the phone, Cecilia angrily turned around, pushed Julian Keaton away, and shouted, "I told you I only have Evelyn as a friend! Can’t you be a bit more merciful and leave me a way out?"
Julian Keaton lowered his gaze, "Cecilia." His tone carried a clear warning.
Cecilia bit her lip, and the thought of her secret of being Julian Keaton’s lover about to be exposed filled her with deep fear.
He clearly couldn’t give her anything, and after disrupting her, he could cleanly walk away.
Why did he have to keep forcing her, again and again?
"I hate you." Cecilia pronounced each word deliberately.
Sniffling, she choked, "Julian Keaton, you never consider others, never! You never know what I want, even when I tell you, you still don’t know!"
Listening to Cecilia’s words, the last bit of restrained patience on Julian Keaton’s face vanished.
In his dark eyes, there was a climb of ruthlessness and coldness, and his large hand clenched into a fist, he almost wanted to strangle her right then and there.
All the desire in his body was completely extinguished at that moment, as if doused with a basin of ice-cold water, freezing him instantly.
From hot to cold, it turned out, the pain wasn’t only physical.
There was also... the heart.
Scanning her up and down, his gaze was cold and ruthless, devoid of any tenderness.
Parting his thin lips, he coldly said, "Cecilia, I’ve never seen such an ungrateful woman like you!"
After speaking, Julian Keaton stood up, dressed, and left without looking back.
Cecilia sat on the bed, watching Julian Keaton’s back, her tears "plopping" down as she covered her mouth, not allowing herself to cry out loud.
She kept telling herself in her heart, this was for the best.
The entanglement between her and Julian Keaton, which was hard to sever and even harder to sort out, could finally come to an end.
This is for the best!
It really is for the best!
At least, both of them could return to the normal paths of their respective lives.
The two of them were clearly two intersecting lines, only growing further apart, forcing a connection was bound to cause problems!
But why, when she could understand the reason so clearly, does her heart... hurt so much?
Meanwhile, Evelyn walked aimlessly down the street.
She couldn’t find Cecilia, and with school already on break, she had nowhere to go.
Near the end of the term, and after inexplicably becoming "Mrs. Lockwood," she stopped doing part-time work.
Now that it’s summer break, should she find another part-time job?
No, no!
Didn’t she come out to find a divorce lawyer?
Why... did it seem like she’d completely forgotten about it?
