Slowly Falling into His Love Trap-Chapter 242: Caden Lockwood, You Scumbag
Evelyn’s body was trembling, her delicate cheeks flushed with an obvious touch of anger.
She stared motionlessly at Caden Lockwood, her gaze filled with hatred, resentment, grievance, and sadness.
She had always believed him so much, even if she had many doubts, she chose to trust him.
Because she felt that after getting to know him, her life had improved, and he hadn’t really done anything to hurt her.
To be fair, he was actually quite good to her.
But how could such a person have been deceiving her all along?
He had deceived her so badly and yet continued to live in her world as a good person?
Oh, heavens!
Was she that easy to deceive?
She could only use her own life to force him, force him to tell her the truth, and stop lying to her.
But if he told her the truth, didn’t it mean he cared about her life?
Evelyn was completely confounded.
Seeing Evelyn like this, Caden Lockwood clenched his fist slightly, moved away from her, and was still organizing his words.
Evelyn sat up, staring intently at Caden Lockwood, urging sharply, "Speak up!"
"Yes." Caden Lockwood closed his eyes briefly, "Nothing happened between us."
Hearing this, Evelyn’s body softened.
She collapsed on the bed, her eyes losing focus.
When she finally got the truth she wanted, she realized it was something she didn’t need to know.
Thinking she had lost her purity, she resigned herself to staying by the side of the man who she thought had taken it from her.
She had even gotten used to his kindness.
And now, she discovered it was all just a fraud.
Ha!
How she had been manipulated!
How could she so easily believe in him?
Logan Shaw was right; even if her first time was taken and she was forced to marry Caden Lockwood without the possibility of divorce, she shouldn’t have agreed to all of it so rashly, much less become deeply entangled!
She should have resisted.
If she had resisted back then, she would still be herself, still have the qualification to pursue and wait for her older brother.
Ridiculous, she even suspected Caden Lockwood to be her older brother!
She hated, and she resented.
Yet, it was herself she hated and resented.
She had brought this all upon herself!
"Evelyn," Caden Lockwood tried to comfort her, "I know, I should have told you earlier, but whether we had physical contact or not, does it have a significant impact?"
After a pause, he continued, "Even if you knew the truth back then, you wouldn’t have been able to... escape me."
What he said was the truth.
But to Evelyn, the truth sounded so harsh, so sarcastic.
"Yes! I can’t escape." Evelyn choked out, "Caden Lockwood, have you always been used to controlling others like this since you were young? Does it give you a sense of accomplishment?"
Caden Lockwood felt a little sad, "Is that really how you see me?"
"I didn’t think you were bad at first, just thought your methods were a bit domineering, but you were actually a good person. So, I always believed in you." Evelyn’s eyes were red, "But you lied to me! If I had known earlier that nothing happened between us, I would never have compromised to become your wife! Caden Lockwood, you scum!"
Saying this, she picked up the pillow beside her and threw it at him viciously, got out of bed, grabbed her phone, put on her slippers, and ran.
Caden Lockwood hurried to catch up, grabbing Evelyn’s wrist, anxiously saying, "Don’t run around!"
"Let go of me!" Evelyn broke free from Caden Lockwood’s hand, crying uncontrollably, "I don’t want to see you! I want a divorce, a divorce!"
