Before they arrived, Aeliana made a request.

"Halon, even though I know you need to digest things to survive, do you think you could go without digesting anything in Thalendor? If you digested something important to the city, we’d probably get into trouble..." She said, a little embarrassed, scratching the back of her head.

Lohan looked back and, seeing the trail of destruction he had left behind, felt a little embarrassed, so he suddenly stopped digesting, just rolling around normally while giving Aeliana a thumbs up.

"Actually, I do it more out of instinct, I’m sorry if I damaged something I shouldn’t have," he explained, to Aeliana’s amazement. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"Wait, you can stop digesting things?!" she asked in surprise.

"Of course, after all, I never digested anything on you when you carried me in your arms," he explained.

Upon hearing this, a realization dawned on the elf’s face, which soon gave way to a happy smile, and she walked even more cheerfully toward the city.

When they arrived at the city gate, a line of several dozen people had formed.

In this line were both elves and creatures of other species.

When their group approached, the people looked at them curiously, but seeing Aeliana’s staff, they seemed to understand something and didn’t mind it.

"Maybe they think we’re Aeliana’s hired monsters?" Lohan asked curiously through their mental link.

Lisa also thought the same thing, nodding her head without caring much.

It was very interesting to see such a variety of species.

At least half of the beings they saw were elves, while the other half was quite varied, with humanoids with animal and monster characteristics representing the majority. There were also beings closer to animals and monsters than to humanoids, such as centaurs and other creatures like them.

Each species seemed to have a unique way of acting, some being more taciturn, speaking softly and constantly keeping an eye on their surroundings, others being more relaxed, laughing and talking loudly without worrying too much about the people around them.

Even with such different ways of acting, with some bothering others, no one dared to cause trouble under the eyes of archers, warriors, and elf mages who guarded the gate and city walls.

Finally, it was their turn.

Unlike the people in line who ignored the Slime and the Fox, the guards examined them closely.

Making a polite hand gesture in front of his chest to Aeliana, which she soon returned with an equal gesture, as a greeting, he asked the elf, ignoring the two small monsters. "Excuse me, are these two creatures hired monsters?"

Aeliana then explained. "No, these two are Friends of Thalendor!"

As she said this, she pointed to them, and when the guard looked, the Slime had created arms and was holding two Thalendor ID Cards.

Seeing those cards, and sensing the elven magic within them that could not be faked, coupled with the presence of an elf like Aeliana beside them to attest to their veracity, the guard’s attitude quickly changed.

"I apologize for my previous rudeness, dear guests, I just need you to tell me your identity and your entry will be approved." The guard said respectfully.

He knew that to receive cards like those, one would need to make significant contributions to Thalendor, and not being elves, the level of contribution required to earn something like that was even greater.

Even if it was only a Level 03 Card, it was still a reason for respect. Theodas was a 400-year-old elf, working and contributing to Thalendor by performing his duties vigorously, and he did not have a card like that.

With his attitude, Lohan felt a little disappointed, thinking that he had missed the opportunity to watch an entertaining show, where the guard would humiliate them for being monsters, and then they would show the Thalendor ID Cards to the guard, slapping him in the face and leaving victorious, but it seems that not everyone was as foolish as that stupid kid from college.

Indeed, as Aeliana said, this card made their life in the city much easier.

Seeing that magnificent city up close was incredible, but Lohan was already feeling uncomfortable carrying so much Digestive Acid under the hot sun and asked them to hurry to the Alchemy lodge.

The two girls agreed with him and in a few minutes they arrived at the store.

The place was called "The Silver Crucible," a shop built inside a tree, but strangely, it didn’t seem to have been made artificially, but rather took advantage of an existing opening in the place.

The interior was luxuriously decorated with various silver pieces, with displays showing things like exotic flowers, shiny liquids of different colors, Mana Stones of various sizes, among many other unique items.

Lohan imagined he would see things like animal or monster skulls, but it seemed that those weren’t really related to alchemy.

Suddenly, a polite male voice interrupted their observation. "Lia? Didn’t your weekly visit happen two days ago?"

Moving to get a better look in that direction, Lohan saw a male elf who, by human standards, appeared to be in his 30s, with long blond hair, dressed in an elegant suit mixing white and green, with a polite smile on his face that soon changed to curiosity as he looked at the blue Slime carrying a strange greenish liquid inside itself as it rolled awkwardly.

Looking closely, the elf seemed to recognize the liquid inside the Slime and was even more surprised. "Hoho, was this creative way of carrying Digestive Acid Lady Yrneha’s idea? I must say that perhaps in all of Thalendor, only she would think of using a Slime for this."

"No, no, no, Intervar!

This Slime isn’t being used to carry the Acid, it’s actually my friend who brought this Digestive Acid to sell to you." Aeliana quickly explained.

Hearing this made the elf even more curious.

To make his point, Lohan formed a hand next to his body, using it to make the common elven greeting he saw Aeliana and the guard make, and spoke through the mental link Lisa formed.

"Hello, friend, I am Halon the Slime. It is a pleasure to meet you." Lohan introduced himself politely.

"My friend Lisa and I brought this Digestive Acid to sell at the suggestion of my friend Aeliana. Are you interested in our merchandise?"

As Lohan spoke, the little white fox also approached, looking at the elf refinedly, like a little noblewoman.

Seeing the greeting the slime made, even though it still seemed a little clumsy and could be improved in some ways, Intervar was completely shocked by it. Not only by the fact that the Slime knew how to do the elven greeting, but by the fact that the Slime was intelligent enough to communicate like a normal person!

But maintaining his etiquette, he responded with the same greeting, in a way that was obviously more refined than how the slime did it, and replied. "Would that be Shadow Serpent Digestive Acid? In fact, our stock of it is zero, so if you are willing to sell, and the quality meets our standards, I will be happy to buy it. How much did you bring?"

Although Lohan’s membrane was slightly transparent, because it was carrying the liquid inside, its color was a little opaque, so even though it was possible to deduce what was inside, it was not possible to deduce the quantity well.

Intervar imagined that they had brought 1 or 2 liters of the acid, since it was extremely difficult to extract without injuring oneself or losing quality, so when he saw the Slime extend a finger forward, he imagined that there was 1 liter of acid inside it and nodded with a happy smile, satisfied that he could replenish his stock of this product.

What he didn’t realize was that there was only one zero missing behind the number one that the Slime showed him!
