Skill Extraction: Exploring Dungeons-Chapter 755 - 664 Full-scale Attack
New Era, April 25th.
Today is the day for Kane and his forces to officially launch the annihilation against the Ogre Race.
The soldiers clad in gray-black armor are densely packed, neatly lined up on the lawn in front of the War Fortress.
Standing in the middle of the entire formation is the unit with the most troops. The weapons they hold are the Launchers distributed by Kane and his forces a while ago.
In front of them, the Heavy Armor line composed of silver-clad soldiers stands firmly in place.
These soldiers were mostly Close Combat Soldiers, and after joining Kane and his forces, they received more Heavy Armor and completely transformed into shield warriors, safeguarding the gunmen behind them.
At the back of the formation, 14 massive War Spiders can be seen, controlled by autonomous systems, dealing significant damage to the enemy’s large targets and defensive lines.
Additionally, 4 War Spiders slyly circled to the enemy’s rear the previous night with some troops.
It wasn’t to launch a rear assault, but to prevent those enemy soldiers wishing to flee.
The Ogre Race had long been understood by Kane and his forces; this Race has no concept of civilians—everyone is a soldier.
The number of soldiers equates to the number of their species.
Thus, this will inevitably be a bloody battle, and the entire Ogre Race will inevitably be obliterated.
As the sun rises, the first ray of sunlight casts upon the soldiers’ armor, reflecting a beautiful metallic sheen.
"Advance!" Bonona loudly commands.
Subsequently, under their respective captains and Commanders, a formation of over ten thousand men begins moving in several precise lines toward the borders of the Ogre Race’s territory.
On the other side, at the Ogre boundary.
Though the Ogres pride themselves as a Divine Race, they do not live in cities, and their entire territory lacks any cities.
They reside in elongated stone sarcophagi built from stacked stones.
Thus, their gathering places consist of heaps upon heaps, densely packed stone sarcophagi.
But to counter the imminent assault by Kane and his forces, the Ogres have polished various stones, stacking them in the direction facing Kane and his forces’ base.
Forming a war bastion. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
However, judging by this war bastion’s appearance, the Ogres’ construction skills seem lacking.
Behind the bastion, a dense mass of gray-black is crammed together.
As the enemy, they were already aware of Kane and his forces’ intentions, after all, they had begun gathering soldiers days before.
They also knew that a battle was inevitable between their Race and Kane and his forces.
After all, Kane and his forces made no secret of their goal to annihilate their Race.
They have never captured any of them; any Ogre falling into their hands meets only death.
After several clashes with Kane and his forces, they realized it was extremely difficult to cause significant losses in a direct confrontation.
Especially since Kane and his forces acquired even more troops, leaving them even less confident.
Now, the hope of their entire Race rests on the shoulders of the Elder Council.
Their intelligence suggests that the gold-level strong individuals among Kane and his forces are limited, certainly outnumbered by them, which is their only chance for a comeback.
The Ogres did not bother with any underhanded plots or flashy tactics but instead, concentrated all their forces here.
It’s unclear whether this Race is proud or simply single-minded.
This includes all members of the Elder Council.
They intend to gamble it all in a fight to the death.
Should they not secure a direct victory in this war, they can no longer stand firm in this place.
The end of the world didn’t defeat them, so this so-called Mist is no match either.
Soon, under the sunlight, intense noises resounded from afar and the ground.
A long line reflecting a metallic sheen appeared on the horizon.
That is Kane and his forces approaching.
"The enemy has arrived! Get ready!" a hoarse voice calls out from the mouth of an Ogre Elder, their new general.
Kane saw the enemy from afar.
They had long through aerial patrols spied on all the movements of the Ogre troops.
"They actually haven’t used any tactics, just want to fight us head-on?" Kane murmured.
Beside him, Kreya said, "This Race is so proud and confident that even in a life-or-death battle, they remain bone-deep with pride. No wonder, even in such a world, they refuse to succumb to the Mist."
"Is that so? Then let us personally crush their pride, let them know how foolish their arrogance is."
Cold words escaped Kane’s mouth, his heart unmoved, without a hint of sympathy.
If any humanoid creature saw what was inside those Ogre livestock pens, they’d naturally harbor no goodwill towards them.
All they have is strong aversion against them.
Even if these Ogres are bone-deep with pride, choosing to duel head-on, it won’t change Kane’s view of them.
From the moment Kane traversed to this world, he’s been immensely grateful to have landed here.
Because of the Mist, most ordinary civilians in this world gained basic life and food security.
As long as the rulers possess a little conscience, with a bit of vision, they can ensure a better life for these civilians.
