Sinner System-Chapter 494: Jaden vs Cleo (Part 2)

Jaden backed away as Cleo lunged at him, slashing at him with her Mana Blades, before she suddenly sprang back and whipped her arms out, firing out a pair of rapid slashing waves towards him.

The air in front of him shimmered as he concentrated his telekinesis, before his eyes widened in surprise as the slashes cut through his defense, inflicting a couple of shallow cuts across his chest.

The Mana that makes up her Mana Claws and Blades are extra potent, thanks to her Personalis Arma, Incisio, not to mention the bonus effect of a twenty percent boost to all her slashing and piercing attacks.

While the Mana-based weapons her Incisio generates aren’t are unblockable as Desecrator is, it still takes a lot to stop them, he’s a lot better off trying to dodge them instead.

As she raised her right hand towards him, the Mana Blade over her right knuckles suddenly extended rapidly, Jaden quickly launching himself up into the air with a powerful telekinetic burst, the extended blade of Mana grazing his left calf and drawing out a trickle of blood.

As he ascended through the air, he swung his arms down, unleashing a shredding blast of telekinesis down towards him.

She swiftly sprang back, the ground getting torn apart as the blast collided against it, before her eyes widened in alarm as he blasted himself straight down towards her.

She whipped her left arm across as he began to close in, before stiffening as he came to an abrupt halt right outside the reach of her Mana Blade.

As the tip of the blade whipped past his chest, grazing his right bicep as she extended the blade a moment too late, she let out a sharp gasp as he blasted her stomach with a sharp telekinetic burst, sending her hurtling back through the air.

She gritted her teeth before unleashing a pressurized burst of wind from behind her, bringing herself to a halt before snapping her jaws open and unleashing a deafening sonic screech towards Jaden.

He zipped up into the air to evade it, rapidly veering across as she fired out a fierce volley of Negative Energy blasts up towards him, chasing him across the air as he flew away and avoided the blasts.

She then spread out her wings and took off, an intense gust of wind bursting out around her as she shot straight towards him, her right arm transforming in a large, muscular form, resembling a Minotaur’s arm, before she drove her fist towards him as she closed in.

A sharp crunch rang out as he raised his left hand and unleashed a devastating telekinetic burst right as her fist began to collide against his palm, a couple of his fingers snapping back upon impact...as he shattered her fist, her skin getting torn apart as streaks of blood sprayed out.

A look of surprise appeared on Jaden’s face as Cleo extended out her tail and wrapped it around his right leg, constricting sharply before hurling him down towards the ground with a sharp snap of her tail.

As he plunged down at a breakneck speed, he triggered an intense telekinetic shockwave around himself as he closed in on the ground, lightly thudding against the dirt as he broke his fall, before swiftly rolling out of the way as a fierce volley of razor-sharp icicles came raining down towards him.

He sprang back onto his feet as he evaded them, before sprinting away as Cleo locked her gaze onto him and fired out a rapid pair of petrifying beams towards her from her eyes.

Jaden began zipping around in random, zigzagging patterns, making it hard to predict his movements, as he maintained his distance from the beams.

As the beams petered out, Cleo unleashed another sonic screech, before tensing as Jaden rapidly blasted himself across the space, her gaze darting about as she tried to follow him, before she began to spin around as he zipped up behind her.

Began she could fully turn around, she got sent hurtling across the air as he hit her with a crushing telekinetic blast, her left shoulder slamming onto the barrier with immense force, ripples bursting out across the barrier upon impact as she coughed out blood, grimacing as she regenerated.

Her flames and lightning attacks are effectively taken out of the equation since Jaden’s got Elemental Immunity. Same goes for her frost attacks, to a lesser extent, since ice projectiles can still damage him, though they won’t free him.

And he’s also got Status Effect Immunity, so her various poisonous and venomous attacks are off the table too.

This is my first time seeing her in action since the Final Dungeon and the seven thousand or so Dungeons appeared, and it’s just as Aria said, she’s really improved...

She then took aim and fired out several ropes of sticky spider webs towards him, a concentrated telekinetic shockwave erupting around him as they closed in, blowing them away before swiftly veering across as I piercing beam of Negative Energy came shooting towards him, before she extended out the Mana Blade over her right knuckles.

The blade grazed Jaden’s right bicep as he swerved across to his left, before whipping his arm across and firing out a rapid, pressurized telekinetic slash.

A stifled cry of pain rang out as a deep gash appeared across Cleo’s left side, as she reacted too late to fully evade it, blood streaming down before the wound rapidly closed up.

Yeah, she’s definitely improved a lot, but...she’s outmatched here. Jaden’s fighting pretty passively, he likely wants to see what she’s got up her sleeve, so he’s isn’t going on the offensive all that much. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

But that’s probably going to change soon, he’s starting to look pretty antsy.

That isn’t to say that Cleo’s no match for him at all, she’s definitely keeping him on his toes. Her attacks are powerful, and she’s making good use of them, she’s managed to graze him a few times.

She’s certainly putting up a good fight, no question there. But I don’t think it’s going to be enough...
