Sinner System-Chapter 454: Calamity Raids (Part 12)
"U-Uh, are you sure this is safe?" Inquired the Detector nervously, as Luxuria lifted her up.
"<Wow, you have a nice ass>," Mused Luxuria, as she gave the girl’s butt a squeeze.
"H-Hey!"
"Luxuria, please don’t sexually harass a stranger," I sighed in exasperation.
"<Oops, sorry, Master. My bad...but in my defense, it really is a nice one>," She grinned sheepishly.
"Sorry about her," I said to the Detector apologetically.
"Um, it’s okay...I was just startled, I actually didn’t mind-...," She began, before trailing off as Luxuria immediately got back to groping her butt.
"Luxuria."
"<What? She said she didn’t mind>!"
I’d just carved out an opening in the wall of the Boss Room, and I’d withdrawn Superbia, Ai and Invidia, since the former two can’t fly at all and the latter isn’t very good at it.
Acedia was giving Petrus a lift, and I asked Luxuria to carry the Detector. Think that might have been a mistake, though...then again, the Detector kinda seems to be enjoying it.
"<Mm, I can feel your body getting warmer...maybe we should take this somewhere more private and...intimate, later>," Smirked Luxuria suggestively.
Come on, of all the times...
"W-Well, I suppose that does sound pretty good..."
"<Is that alright with you, Master>?"
"I mean, if it’s consensual, then sure, you’re free to do whatever you want," I replied in bemusement, before clearing my throat and adding, "Alright, let’s get going, shall we?"
"Yes, please, this is a bit awkward," Responded Petrus wryly, as Acedia held him princess-style in his arms.
I leapt out of the opening, firing out jets of Negative Energy from my feet to control my descent, the others following after me.
As we reached the bottom, Acedia set down Petrus as we landed, Luxuria still holding the Detector in her arms, whose face had turned red, Luxuria whispering something into her ear with a seductive smirk.
It has been a while since she’s acted on her lust with another person, she’s kept her word and hasn’t tried anything with me ever since Aria and I began our relationship, not even while we were stuck in the Monster world.
And I’m certainly not going to restrict her from having her fun, just so long as she doesn’t hurt anyone or-...
"Oh, good, you’re finally back! There’s a major emergency!"
Hm? That’s the driver who transported us here, he’s got a pretty alarmed look on his face. I’m getting a really bad feeling...
"What’s going on? What’s the situation?" I asked him warily.
"D-Dungeons in...in three of the Sanctuaries! Here in Epsilon, as well as Gamma and Zeta. They appeared about two hours ago, and about half an hour ago, the Monsters in them emerged! One Monster from each Dungeon, and all three are unknown species! They’ve killed hundreds already, including several Hunters and a handful of Aces!" He exclaimed frantically, before I rushed towards the car to get my I-Watch, Petrus hurrying after me.
Shit, shit, shit, I should’ve figured something was up sooner, I-...!
No, calm down, lamenting isn’t going to change anything. Let’s see, there has to be a message from the Union, given the situation...yup, here we go.
’As soon as you get this message, hurry over to Sanctuary Epsilon. Summon Ira there as well. We’ll deploy Ariella, Aarav Gill and Jin Suzuki to Sanctuary Gamma, and Beatriz Oliviera, Jaden Xeno and Iseul Park to Sanctuary Zeta. Please hurry.’
Well, shit.
I took a deep breath and let out a slow exhale to clear my head, before closing my eyes and focusing my thoughts on Ira...
If you’re done with your raid, let Beatriz know to hurry, and return to me.
If you’re done with your raid, let Beatriz know to hurry, and return to me.
If you’re done with your raid-...
<Ira has returned>
"Now, <Emerge, Apostles of Envy, Pride and Wrath: Invidia, Superbia and Ira>," I chanted, the three of them appearing before me, before I chanted again to summon Ai.
"This can’t be happening...," Muttered Petrus in dismay, as he tapped through his I-Watch display.
"Hurry, I’ll drive you back as fast as possible-...," Began to driver, as he hopped back into the vehicle.
"No, it’ll be faster this way," I cut him off, before sprinting in the direction of Sanctuary Epsilon at top speed, blasting myself forward with a sharp burst of Negative Energy.
The Apostles followed after me, as Petrus and the Detector hopped in the car. Hm, maybe I should’ve waited to summon the Apostles after I reached the Sanctuary.
Acedia and Ira are keeping up, but the others are falling behind...I could withdraw them and summon them again, but that’ll take a good chunk of Mana.
Alright, guys, keep up if you can. If you can’t, just catch up as quickly as possible. I’m going on ahead.
I continued propelling myself through the air with bursts of Negative Energy, and it wasn’t long before the Sanctuary came into sight.
"Oh, thank goodness...please, hurry!" Exclaimed a guard standing by the entrance, a relieved look on his face as I zipped inside and entered the Sanctuary.
Immediately, I spotted large clouds of dust rising up ahead, screams ringing out in the distance.
I launched myself up towards the top of a nearby building, Acedia and Ira not too far behind as I sprinted across the rooftops towards the sounds of destruction.
I came to a skidding halt across a tall building, grimacing at the sight before me as I stared down from the edge of the rooftop.
The stretch before me, as far as the eye could see, was completely devastated. And below, was a massive Monster I had never seen before, a towering, bloody pile of limbs and body parts stacked up before it.
It was wolfing down the various body parts, grabbing them in fistfuls and cramming them into its mouth, blood dripping off its jaws.
Immense destruction was left in its wake, the stench of blood and death permeating the air, a seemingly endless stretch of rubble where buildings had once stood.
"Hey, ugly, up here," I uttered icily, a deep growl ringing out as the Monster lifted its gaze and narrowed its eyes at me...
