"Are you done observing me?"

Corey shifted his gaze towards Triple X’s black eyes, and he indifferently glanced at the nine-foot giant with his pure white eyes for a second before shifting his gaze and attention back at Triple X.

Corey had so many thoughts and questions, but just like Divine, his main question at the moment was,

"How are you still alive?"

"A clone."

Triple X replied indifferently, and Corey furrowed his brows slightly.

"Your clone had a soul."

Triple X’s eyes flickered with a surprised light for a fraction of a second, and then he nonchalantly replied.

"Then it was a clone with a soul."

Corey remained silent when he heard Triple X’s words and observed his expression. He noticed the flicker of surprise in Triple X’s eyes when he said that the clone had a soul, and this made him realize that most people would not have known that the clone had a soul.

Due to his skill, Soul Perception which he obtained after his Mind’s Eye fused with his Cosmic Soul, he realized that most people, maybe even Divine and Pamela might not have noticed that Triple X’s clone had a soul.

Because the clone had a soul, it was able to even fool Corey into believing that the clone was actually Triple X. If Triple X had created a clone without a soul, Corey would have instantly noticed.

Corey knew that Triple X was surprised by his ability to perceive souls, and he could even see Triple X becoming slightly wary of him because of this discovery.

"Are you in cahoots with Melissa? Did you also have plans on betraying us?"

Corey asked another question, but this question was not for himself but for Divine.

Corey truly had no need for the answer to this question because it was entirely irrelevant to him. Regardless of his answer, Corey had already decided that he was going to kill Triple X, purely because of what he could see beyond the wooden door.

Triple X tilted his head slightly and glanced at Divine for a second before shifting his gaze back at Corey.

"To be honest, I didn’t betray you guys... I have my plans which is not aimed at you guys unlike Melissa."

Corey raised a brow with a tinge of disdain and coldness in his gaze and tone as he gestured at the wooden door, "What I can see inside that place says otherwise."

Divine glanced at the wooden door with furrowed brows, meanwhile, Triple X’s lips curled up ever so slightly.

"You have very good eyes... Well, it was your gaze that saw through the illusion."

"You monster. What the fuck have you done?"

Divine’s mumble echoed in the walls of the underground area, and Corey glanced at him and so did Triple X.

"You’re summoning demons? And you made a contract with a high ranking demon?"

Divine gazed at Triple X with eyes that were full of disbelief, coldness, and a tinge of fear, and the moment Corey noticed the fear, he frowned.

Triple X smiled, and a soft chuckle escaped his lips as he shook his head slightly.

"You even know about demons, Captain. But it’s not so surprising since you’re the heir of a powerful family and you also know a lot of things that others don’t usually know."

Divine merely stared at Triple X coldly without blinking, and then he asked.

"What organization are you part of?"

Triple X was taken aback for a second, and then he laughed.

"I guess I should blame Melissa for making you to doubt what you know about me."

"You only have yourself to blame, X."

BOOM!

The expressions of Divine and Triple X changed when they felt an aura and killing intent that was so profoundly powerful, mystifying, and deadly to the point that they were dazed for a few seconds.

Divine gazed at Corey in disbelief and shock. Meanwhile, a cold drop of sweat dropped from Triple X’s chin because he was not only perceiving the aura and killing intent, he was feeling the full brunt of it and a grunt almost escaped his lips because of the immense pressure that was on his body and psyche.

A cold smile crept up on Corey’s lips, and his Genesis Armament appeared in his right hand in the blink of an eye.

"So, I’m going to ask you just once. Are you going to stop me from taking my subordinates?"

Triple X’s eyes flickered, and the nonchalance and indifference he had vanished.

"Sorry to disappoint you, but I can’t do that. You see, Selene is still a virgin and her blood is key in completing my goals. As for Kiefer, he has a unique body and soul, and he’s a great vessel I can use to summon my contractor."

Corey scoffed with a dangerous smile and gaze, "Is that so?"

Zzzrt!

Bzzzzk!

Tiny arcs of white lightning danced across Corey’s legs and spread across the ground, and the moment Triple X subconsciously glanced at Corey’s legs, he vanished from his moment.

Lightning Step!

CLAP!

The sound of a thunderclap shook the walls and caused sand and stones to fall unto the ground as Corey appeared in front of Triple X with his great axe swinging down at Triple X’s head in the blink of a Tier 5’s eye.

Triple X’s eyes widened slightly in surprise, however, the calmness in his gaze did not waver for even a second.

CLANG!

BANG!

A massive shockwave exploded from Triple X’s location, causing a massive dust cloud. Approximately three seconds later, Corey landed beside Divine with his feet barely making a sound, however, the sound of blood dripping unto the ground echoed.

"Kid!"

Divine exclaimed in concern when he saw Corey’s condition. On the left side of his face down to his upper chest was a deep cut that almost showed Corey’s bones.

"Are you insane?!"

Corey ignored Divine’s words, instead, his attention was entirely on Triple X who was standing with a calm expression. In front of Triple X was the nine-foot giant holding the bronze shield in one hand and the greatsword in another hand.
