As Lydia was about to take her life with the dagger in her hands, Selene quickly reacted and grabbed the dagger by its blade.

"What the hell do you think you're doing you mad woman?! Do you want us to fail such an important task our Master gave us?!"

Selene shouted in anger, and Lydia trembled both in shock and fear.

She glanced at the dagger that was stopped by Selene with her bare hands. She saw no sign of an injury on Selene's hands despite holding the dagger by its blade.

She could also sense a power that felt unfathomable to her from Selene's hands. Lydia shifted her gaze to Selene, and when she saw the rage in Selene's eyes, she trembled and fell to her knees.

"Please, I beg of you. Just kill me right now. I don't want to go back to the life I lived before. I don't want to become like how I was in the past."

"Please."

Selene and Kiefer watched as tears streamed down Lydia's face. Selene's expression became uncomfortable and Kiefer's eyes flashed with pity and a tinge of pain.

He walked up to her and knelt before while grabbing her shoulders.

"It's alright, Miss Lydia. We're not from the Embodiment of Lust and we're also not bad guys."

Kiefer gestured put his hands inside his pocket, and he brought out a vial filled with a purple liquid.

"Our Master said we should give you this item and another item to help you." Lydia glanced at the vial of purple liquid with a suspicious gaze, and then she glanced at Kiefer who was smiling with a cheerful smile.

"Miss Selene, please the pill."

Kiefer gestured towards Selene, and Selene placed a pure white pill in Kiefer's hands.

"Our Master said that the liquid in the vial is to make you healthier and the white pill is to make sure that there are no consequences to her body from your last meeting with Corey."

Kiefer gestured at the vial and pill with an amicable smile, and the moment Lydia heard Kiefer's last words, her eyes widened slightly.

A thought appeared in her mind and she glanced at the pure white pill with a complicated gaze.

"Please trust us, Miss Kiefer. We have no bad intentions towards you and I doubt our Master has the same."

Lydia looked at Kiefer, and then she looked at Selene who had her arms folded with a cold and frustrated expression.

She looked back at Kiefer and nodded.

"Alright. I trust you."

Kiefer smiled brightly, "Great... Now if you would please take the pill and elixir in front of us. Our Master said that you must take the two of them in front of us no matter what."

Lydia glanced at the pill and elixir with a complicated expression. A tinge of sadness and hesitation flashed in her eyes for a second, but then she closed her eyes and took the vial.

She exhaled softly, and then she uncorked the vial. After observing the liquid and Kiefer and Selene's expression, she drank the entire elixir.

An anxious expression appeared on her face for a moment, and even Selene and Kiefer had nervous expressions because although Corey told them what the functions of the elixir were, he could have lied to them.

They could not imagine why Corey would assign such a mission to them. They were curious about the identity of Lydia and her relationship with Corey.

For all they knew, Lydia could be a threat or somebody Corey wanted to

eliminate without nobody knowing that he did so.

They had so many questions, however, the most baffling reason was why Corey had a relationship with an average Tier 2.

It was extremely strange to Divine, Selene, and Kiefer.

After approximately seven seconds passed and nothing happened, Lydia

exhaled a deep sigh of relief and nervousness.

Her body trembled in so much relief, and then her eyes widened.

She felt a change in her body and she gasped.

"What is it?"

Kiefer asked with a concerned expression, and Lydia looked at her hands and body.

"I-I- I feel stronger. I feel twice, no thrice, maybe almost four times stronger than before... I also feel more energetic and my mind is clearer. What was that

liquid?"

Lydia looked at Kiefer and Selene with a shocked expression, and Kiefer and Selene looked at one another.

They both shrugged.

"Something out Master created."

Kiefer smiled proudly, and Lydia had an amazed expression. She looked down

and mumbled with a small smile.

"I didn't know he was that incredible. No wonder."

Kiefer and Selene looked at Lydia with raised brows.

"Miss Lydia. It remains-"

Kiefer was about to speak, but then he turned to his right and saw six men

approaching them.

He frowned, and so did Selene.

"It seems we have company. Selene mumbled with a slight frown.

"It- it's Yatan. They're followers of Yatan and they're here for me." Lydia stuttered while trembling with a fearful expression.

Selene and Kiefer glanced at Lydia before shifting their gazes back at the group of six.

"There are three Tier 4s amongst them and the rest are Tier 3s. Can you handle them?"

"I should be able to. I've been training with Rosa, Fatty Black Bonez, and Divine, so I'm stronger than I was before. Although they're just Tier 3s, they're talented and powerful Tier 3s like Master"

"It would be embarrassing of me if I have a Master who is a monster but I can't take care of three Tier 4s who are clearly average."

Kiefer looked at Selene with an unreadable expression and then he nodded

slightly. Although Selene said these words, his thoughts were slightly different. 'It wouldn't be embarrassing of you if you lost to three Tier 4s just because you have a demonically talented Master, Miss Selene'

'Although he's extremely talented and we're his servants, he barely interacts with us. If he's not out doing a personal task, he's always in his room, doing who knows what.'

'According to Divine, Master is always training in his room. He has never trained us, and a part of the reason why I'm so weak is because of him.'

'He's am extremely talented individual when it comes to power. But when it comes to managing and growing people, he is lacking severely in that aspect.' 'I should send a message to Captain Divine just in case things go wrong here.'

Kiefer glanced at Lydia, and then he placed the pure white pill in her hands. "Please consume this pill right now before it gets chaotic. We'll protect you no matter what."

Lydia looked at Kiefer with slightly wide eyes, and then she looked at the pill. She grabbed it, and then she placed it in her mouth without hesitation.

"Good. Thank you, Miss Lydia."

Kiefer nodded in satisfaction and Lydia smiled in response.

The moment Kiefer looked away, she opened her mouth, placed her hand inside her mouth and removed the pill that had melted slightly in her mouth. She quickly transferred it into her storage space, and looked at Kiefer, Selene, and the six followers of Yatan with a determined gaze.

'I'm sorry Corey, my one and only love. But I don't think I can take that pill that is clearly meant to prevent me from getting pregnant.'

'If I ever get captured by Yatan or any other member of the Embodiment of Lust, or if I ever get raped in the Underworld because I'm weak, I don't want to ever have their children.'

'I want it to be that if I ever get pregnant from now on, the child would be yours. The only man who has shown me the strangest sort of compassion in the Underworld.'
