As Corey watched his Mind's Eye fuse with his Cosmic Soul, his mind observed his Cosmic Soul with rapt attention.

The appearance of his Cosmic Soul was extremely strange. Its outer shape was similar to that of an egg, and it also had a semi-transparent shell that was cracked and fractured, almost like it was about to hatch.

The surface of the shell reflected celestial bodies, and it showed glimpses of galaxies, swirling nebulas, and celestial storms. The cracks in the shell occasionally released faint wisps of a strange multicoloured mist which Corey assumed was his Soul Energy or was at least related to his Soul Energy.

At the very center of the egg was his Cosmic Soul which appeared as a dark, miniature singularity. It was a void-like sphere that does not pull in light but instead distorts and bends it around itself.

In the depths of the singularity, Corey could see faint glimmers of shifting stars, galaxies, and celestial nebulae.

Unlike ordinary souls that emits a vibrant presence, Corey's Cosmic Soul which he came to realize was inert, was eerily silent. It does not exude the overwhelming might one would expect of a Cosmic Soul, yet its very existence defies the natural order.

If an Immortal with soul perception were to sense Corey's soul, he or she would not feel a powerful, strange, or horrifying pressure from his inert Cosmic Soul, but they would be unsettled by the 'absence of limitation'. It would be like they were looking at something that should not yet exist, but it exists.

Whenever Corey focused deeply on his Cosmic Soul, he would always hear a faint, rhythmic sound like a heartbeat. The pulse was slow, patient, and extremely powerful.

Corey was certain that if this were the soul of another person and not his, he would be dead if he heard the sound his soul was making.

The main reason Corey could not figure out the abilities of his Cosmic Soul was because his Cosmic Soul was inert.

His Cosmic Soul held immeasurable potential but it was extremely limited by his current power level. However, with every evolution and tier progression makers the cracks in its shell would widen, the singularity would expand and all of reality would tremble.

But that is a story for another day.

Seconds went by after his Mind's Eye was absorbed into his Cosmic Soul, and then a minute went by but nothing occurred.

Corey did not know why, but he had a feeling that something was meant to happen the moment his Mind's Eye entered his Cosmic Soul, but nothing happened even after five minutes passed.

Corey sighed, and then he shifted his attention to other parts of his body and mind.

He had successfully become a Tier 3, and once again, his battle prowess had taken a massive leap.

There were numerous notifications in front of him, and Corey went through them.

The first thing he checked was his attributes. His attributes were still in the Black Star realm, but instead of 100%, it was now 10%.

Although it would seem like his attributes had decreased, they had not. Instead, it was like his physical attributes had entered a new realm.

If he was to compare his current physical capabilities to his previous physical capabilities, he was thrice as strong as before.

It was extremely shocking to Corey because he felt that with his current stats, he could comfortably engage in physical combat with a Tier 5 whose attributes were in the Yellow Star realm or the Green Star realm.

This was shocking to Corey because his stats were not maxed out. They were just at 10%.

What if his stats were at 100%?

How strong would he be?

Would he have the physical prowess of a Tier 5 whose attributes were in the Indigo Star realm or the Violet Star realm?

Such a thing was unimaginable to Corey because the difference between each star was not little. It was huge, especially the higher one went.

'The Black Star realm is gotten by breaking the Universal limit... It's truly something else.'

Corey shook his head with a light smile. Although the increase in his physical prowess was shocking, it was nonetheless welcomed.

A thoughtful light flashed in Corey's eyes, and then he made a decision.

He stretched out his right hand, and in the next second, a finger appeared on his hand.

This finger was one of the Nightmare Fingers he obtained in the Shattered Dimension of the Old Ones.

"Are you ready, Rhea?"

"Cawww!"

Corey smiled as Rhea's voice echoed in his mind.

"Time for you to become a Tier 3 like me." Corey mumbled softly, and then he swallowed the finger.

A second later, Corey's vision changed. He appeared above his Sea of Consciousness, and there he saw Rhea along with the spirit he encountered the last time he swallowed a Nightmare Finger.

A spirit he suspected was that of an Old One.

Just like the previous spirit, the spirit was observing Corey Sea of Consciousness with intrigue and unrestrained greed.

It turned towards Corey, and Corey could see the light of a calm and controlled cruelty and madness in its gaze along with a hidden cunningness and greed.

The cruelty and madness was what the spirit wanted him to notice, but because of how sharp and disgustingly high his perception was, especially in his Sea of Consciousness, especially in his mind, Corey could see the cunningness that was hidden in the eyes of the spirit.

"You're a Paragon"

The spirit spoke, and then it tilted its head to the side with slightly furrowed brows.

"No, you're a Demi-Paragon... But the Paragon's blood in you is extremely pure."

Corey had an utterly calm expression when he heard this, and not a single sign of fear or worry was in his heart.

He raised his left hand and rubbed Rhea who was beside him. He said no words and kept on staring at the spirit with an indifferent expression.

The spirit's lips curled up, and then it subtly glanced at Rhea before shifting its gaze back at Corey.

"Let's make a deal."

Corey raised his brows.

"I'll completely submit myself to you, and I'll help you in whatever way I can. I'll give you all my powers and knowledge."

"Trust me, the knowledge and abilities I have are beyond your imagination."

"So, what do you say?"

"Hmm." Corey kept on rubbing Rhea, and then he smiled.

"I refuse."
