Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 664: Insect Race’s Ending

As the Beastmen race clashed with the other races that live in the Moonlight Forest lead by Ancient Elf King Andromeda, Yue Xuexia after leaving the interviewers is now at the office of the old leader having tea with some seniors. Well they are actually reporting to her about the progression of the purging and current situations happening within the realms.

Ling Wen serves the tea, "Empress, please drink. I made it with a mutated apple and made it into tea."

"Thank you, Senior Ling. It’s delicious," said Yue Xuexia after trying the tea.

Lin Wen panicked being called senior by the goddess and said, "Please Empress, don’t call me senior. I don’t deserve it."

Seeing the sudden pale face of Ling Wen, Yue Xuexia immediately understood that her standing right now is no longer the same as before. It is still alright to call seniors to those who are friends of her grandparents, and relatives but, towards others who had no blood connections to her, being spoken too politely will scare them to death.

"Alright. I will just call you Ling Wen then." The Moon Goddess said.

Only then did the complexion of Ling Wen return to normal and he is no longer scared to death. Long Juedi also drank the tea served to him and started reporting about the happenings in the world he got others to investigate. As for his father, after being imprisoned for such a long time left him some depressing thoughts. There is also the fact that a few of his friends died just to protect him and his son, only because they are meant to lead in this realm.

Long Juedi said, "Empress, there are still races from the foreign invaders that still exist in our realm. One of them is the beastmen race and the other is the insect race."

"The former had headed to the former Amazon forest which is now the Moonlight Forest. They seem to have sensed the World Tree saplings in there and wanted to take over."

"Don’t worry about the Moonlight Forest. My Great Grandfather is there. How about the insect race? These races need urgency as they are capable of increasing their population faster than humans. Where are they now?" Yue Xuexia queried.

Ling Wen also read through the reports and remembered something that is about the insect race. After going through the papers on his hand, he found what they were looking for. He passed the paper to the Moon Goddess.

"This should be the report about the insect race. It was said that as soon as they descended in this realm, they flew towards the Sand Country. Aside from that, some bugs were found lingering on a small island and disappeared. No one had seen the insect race since then," Ling Wen said.

Upon hearing this report, Long Juedi frowned as if remembering something.

He said, "Empress, do you remember that second prince of the sand country? His mother, who was inflicted with some kind of bug."

"Maybe they are looking for her indeed but... that woman had already integrated with the bug in her, so... even if she is semi-insect, her heart is already human. It seems that the things in the Sand Country are urgent. I will head there first then next is to the Moonlight Forest." Yue Xuexia said.

Ling Wen said, "Then Empress, I will pass on a message for Lord Andromeda."

Yue Xuexia nodded her head and said, "Then I will leave the purging to you. I will be back soon. Contact me if there is something wrong."

As soon as she stood up, she disappeared on the spot like how she had appeared. She had used space teleportation to immediately appear above the Sand Country. As soon as she appeared, she sensed multiple presences under the sea of sand and it made her frown. It is the same feeling as sensing thousands of cockroaches and the sound itself was eerie enough to be creepy.

The Moon Goddess mumbles, "I’ve made a nest under the sand. The Sand Giant Race were all eaten and... the humans in this country had been assimilated. They have become bugs now. I’ve come late."

Sigh~

She pulled out her phone and reported to her country about the state of the Sand Country. Just as she is about to make a call, Yue Xuexia suddenly notices that there are some survivors at the old ruins where the Snake God resides. However, even the existence of the snake god no longer exists. It seems he was also killed by the foreign individuals in the end, like how the Sand Giants had fallen.

Yue Xuexia descended and as soon as she landed, the sand under her foot dispersed revealing the buried underground ruins which are now surrounded by bugs, making her face turn cold. With a wave of her hands, a few hundreds of silver lotus flowers shaped like swords intent flew towards the bugs and exterminated them. Seeing her overwhelming power, the rest of the bugs had run away while she had entered the ruins.

The ruins were blocked by the body of the snake god which had long perished. Seeing the dead body of the familiar looking snake Yue Xuexia recalled the noisy snake who is proud and childish at the same time. She couldn’t help but felt a pity that it died just like that. However, she noticed something else. There is a lingering faith around the snake god’s husk which protected its origin soul. She reached out for it and unexpectedly noticed that this soul is still alive.

"Qiuqiu, I want this soul to enter reincarnation." Yue Xuexia whispered.

[Everything will be as you wish, Mistress.]

The soul in Yue Xuexia’s hand suddenly glows so brightly and the glowing soul was replaced by a huge snake egg. In her heart, she can feel the heartbeat of the creature inside pulsing.

With a smile, she said, "You did well. You saved your believers and your believers saved your life. In your next life, you can protect them properly as their guardian god."

After the glow had disappeared, a few humans appeared before her. Among them is the former crown prince of the sand country. However, right now he is already the king of the sand country.

The king of the sand country was stunned to see her, especially since he recognized her right away.

The one who had blocked thousands of insects and brought them to his nest just so he can protect them from his believers. In the end, he died and used his own body to block the insects outside.

Feeling the regular heartbeat within the egg, the king of the sand country and his remaining people couldn’t help but shed their tears both from happiness and sadness.

"Thank you. Thank you, Goddess!"

The King of the Sand Country knows that only another god can save a dying god. For his adopted sister to save their guardian god means that she is no longer a mortal like they are and is now a goddess that no ordinary person can reach. Just for this reason alone, he knew that he can no longer stand as her equal.

Yue Xuexia just nodded her head and said, "Follow me. I will clean up your country for you."

She walks out of the dark area leading them to the light. It was only at this moment that every survivor behind her truly believes she is an omniscient goddess who had descended in this land to save them. It took awhile for them to wake up in dazed, with their king in lead, they all headed towards the exit of the ruins.

With the sky covered in dark evening sky, and only the full moon illuminating the area, the moonlight acts like a spot light that fell on Yue Xuexia.

With a sword and fan in her hands, she swiftly moves in the middle of her enemies, cutting everything in her path as if she was dancing. Everyone was in awe. Such a beautiful scene and extremely unforgettable. After this night, the Sand Country believes only in two divinities. First is their guardian god, the Snake God and the other is the Empress of the realm, the Goddess of the Moon.

Yue Xuexia worked all night to eliminate all the bugs in this country and finally left the land to its original owner. However, this time she had killed the former second prince and his mother who had betrayed the human race the moment the Insect race had arrived in this world.
