Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 655: Chen Yunlan

The rage of the Moon Goddess. Everyone who had entered the Ancient Ruins with her knew what her anger meant. Based on Yue Xuehua’s memory, the Immortal Star Emperor’s obsession with them was almost an illness. However, she doesn’t care as she doesn’t understand their affection.

I have something to do. Gather them here," said the Moon Goddess as she looked at the Long Clan. "The dragons had been freed. You can check on them and use these potions to cure them. I will be back soon."

Everyone collectively clasped their hands before the Moon Goddess and lowered their backs.

They collectively responded, "Yes. As you wish, Goddess!" When they’ve raised their heads the figure of the Moon Goddess is no longer there. Except for the blood moon hanging above their heads no other traces of the Moon Empress remain

After the Moon Goddess left, Lao Long noticed that a few of his old friends were missing, especially Lao Xia. He couldn’t help but approach Tan Huangyu for answers.

Lao Long asked, "Lao Tan, is it only you who has returned? Where are Lao Xia and those two old things from the Crimson Cloud Hall?"

"Something happened in the Cultivation Realm. I will tell you the details later. It’s just that Lao Xia, his wife and the whole Yue Clan had ascended to the Immortal World ahead." Tan Huangyu said.

Lao Long knew that his friend wouldn’t have ascended without saying goodbye then that means it’s against their will or something made it so they had no other choice but to ascend without Yue Xuexia.

Tan Huangyu added, "Three years from now the Mistress will also head to the Immortal World."

Lao Long was surprised at first and understood things at the next second. He looked in the direction where Yue Xuexia had disappeared to.

Meanwhile somewhere in the city, in some Chen Clan’s mansion.

A young man who is barely an adult was caned by his family for failing to complete the task his stepmother had given him. He is the son of the deceased first wife of Chen Yun. He had immediately remarried after the death of his mother, Ru Lanyu. Ru Lanyu is one of the best friends of Yue Xuexia. This young man who was being caned is called Chen Yunlan. The only son of Ru Lanyu. He was currently being punished as he was schemed by his step brother into stealing something when in reality he had just picked it up and was about to return it. But he was suddenly taken to be punished as this something he picked was what his stepmother was looking for. He looked at his father asking for help but he also looked at him like a thief. That’s why he can only accept the punishment that was not meant for him.

After Chen Yunlan was caned twenty times he laid on the wooden bench unable to move due to pain. This annoyed his step mother and said,

’Tch! Someone sent the eldest young master to his room!!"

Some clan guards carried Chen Yunlan to his room where his only servant a mute adult man with one missing arm, was waiting for him. This adult man is actually Chen Yunlan’s only friend and the only person from his mother’s side left to his side.

Upon seeing Chen Yunlan wounded upon his return, the servant carefully took Chen Yulan away from the guards while glaring at them. They knew how fierce this old man is despite getting crippled by the madam who can still defeat them.

There is also a picture locket with a group photo in it. It’s a group photo of Ru Lanyu, Yue Xuexia, Lin Ruri and Xiao Muen. The only male in the photo looks so much like the only male in the group photo.

Xiao Muen with scars all over his face and his tongue cut, it was unknown when and why he was beside Chen Yunlan. Where is his wife and what happened to him in this state? There are so many questions but he is unable to say anything anymore. He caressed the group photo and placed it on the table. He started writing a letter for Chen Yunlan. After writing it he placed it on the side table with the picture locket and placed the safety locket around Chen Yunlan. He stood up and pressed something on the wall. Then a sword and a pill appeared on it. He picked up the jade bottle and ate the pill. He also grabbed the sword.

Xiao Muen mumbles, "I can’t bear it any longer. Lan’er, forgive me for not being able to protect Yunlan anymore. Instead, I will free him from that man and this clan." His eyes were bloodshot and he was full of murderous intent.

The pill he ate is a Breaking Cure Pill. It’s a restoration pill that fully heals one’s body to its peak state but it only lasts for a few hours and then he would die from self implosion. However, Xiao Muen still ate it. He took a look of Chen Yunlan for one last time and left the room. Once he got out of the room he startled, killing everyone in the house.
