Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess-Chapter 642: Younger Self

During Yue Xuexia’s awakening, she had experienced a trial that is composed of her past and current life. When she first opened her eyes, what welcomed her was the unfamiliar ceiling. She looked around vigilantly and sat up almost immediately only to feel pain all over body. This pain is bearable but it caught her off guard and let out a moan.

She sat up slowly while trembling on the bed she was lying on and saw that her wound had somehow opened, dyeing the white bandage with blood. She tried healing herself with Sacred Healing Skill but this skill didn’t activate as if she didn’t have it in the first place.

She frowned and checked that most of her skills which are from the system were sealed. Since there is bleeding she had no other choice but to press on her acupoints to stop the bleeding. She stood up ignoring the pain in her body looking around to know where she was. But when she saw her reflection in the mirror, Yue Xuexia was shocked. She had seen that she had become Yue Xuehua.

There is no way she wouldn’t recognize who Yue Xuehua is. She had been seeing her for a long time to mistake her for someone. Moreover, this Yue Xuehua looks so young. It is as if she had returned to the times when she was in high school.

Yue Xuexia was shocked as she stared at her own reflection. She tried to contact the system and Yue Xuehua herself but there was no response. Just as she was about to leave this place someone entered her room. She planned to capture the person who arrived to ask where she was, but all these thoughts faded when she saw who arrived.

Stunned and confused, Yue Xuexia calls, "Mom?"

It wasn’t Su Luli that she knows but this woman is definitely her mother. She knew and felt with her heart that it was definitely her birth mother. Failing to meet her when she was alive, and then failing to protect her to prevent her death, all emotions Yue Xuexia is trying to bury had once again resurfaced.

Her tears fall as she looks at her mother in dazed which shocked the lady herself.

"Xue’er?! What’s wrong? Are you in pain? Oh no! Your wounds had opened! Sweetie don’t cry. I will call a doctor to treat you." said the Everlasting Moon Empress, Yue Lili to her.

"Someone! Someone, summon the imperial doctors!" she shouted in command.

Yue Xuexia only heard hurried steps outside the room. It seems a few had run around under her mother’s command.

Empress Mama Yue supported her daughter and let her lay down on her bed to rest.

"Xue’er, don’t cry. The doctor is coming soon. Stay here, Mom is going to get a doctor."

She was about to leave when someone grabbed her sleeves. When Empress Mama Yue looked, she saw her dazed daughter looking at her with a pleading gaze.

"Mom, please stay here. I’m... I’m scared." I’m scared that when I close my eyes to sleep you will be gone again.

Yue Xuexia’s words and thoughts are mixed.

Seeing her proud daughter vulnerable at this time stunned the Everlasting Moon Empress. She smiled and held her daughter’s hand in comfort. When the doctor arrived she was shocked to see that the princess’s bleeding was stopped by pressing acupoints. Seeing it was done by an expert the doctor was shocked but didn’t ask directly and treated the princess.

She was about to feed the princess with a pill to aid with pain and sleep, but she was stopped by the cold eyes of the princess.

The doctor and the empress watch as Yue Xuexia looks at the pill with a serious look.

"I understand you giving this to me to numb the pain but... why do you want me to fall asleep. Do you have another intention?" the Moon Goddess asked.

This question startled Empress Mama Yue and scared the hell out of the doctor. Under the cold gaze of the current princess, she felt terrified as if meeting the ancestor himself.

The doctor panicked and kneeled, "Princess! This servant had no other intention. I am just following orders. The Empress said your injuries are too painful and it might be hard for you to sleep so... so, this servant added something in the pill to aid you go fall asleep," the doctor said.

Yue Xuexia looked at her mother and saw that the doctor was telling the truth.

Empress Mama Yue said, "Mom is just worried. You haven’t slept well these days. Look at the dark circles under your eyes. Xue’er if you truly don’t want to eat the medicine it’s alright. Mom is going to accompany you until you fall asleep."

She looked worriedly at her daughter and gently caressed the dark spots under Yue Xuexia’s eyes. The Moon Goddess upon seeing her like this couldn’t help but comply. Under the eyes of the Everlasting Moon Empress, Yue Xuexia ate the pill.

Yue Xuexia waved her hand and let the trembling doctor stand up and said, "I apologize for my words just now. I didn’t mean anything. Thank you for your hard work, Elder."

The doctor panicked even more. Such an elegant and mature princess, this is the first time she had witnessed her acting like this. The Moon Princess she knows is an adorable and spoiled little princess. But the one in front of them is completely different as if... as if they are talking to an adult princess. The doctor and the Everlasting Empress wait for Yue Xuexia to fall asleep. Maybe because of the stress of waking up in another place and relief seeing her mother she fell asleep thinking that maybe she would see her father and sisters when she wakes up. Feeling relief, she fell into a deep sleep.

After leaving the room of the Princess, the empress and the doctor went to where the Emperor was working. They immediately told him what happened with their daughter.

Everlasting Moon Emperor, Lei Yuya frowned upon hearing what his wife and the doctor had just told him. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

He said, "You mean Xue’er is acting weird? She had knowledge of medicine and had become mature when she woke up?"

"Wife, this sounds strange. But is the soul in her truly a daughter? This sounds like a possession." Lei Yuya said.

Yue Suli was angered by her husband’s words and retorted, "Are you telling me I cannot even recognize my own daughter!? Even if the soul in her had changed it is definitely still my daughter!? I will never mistake her for someone else!"

"W-Wife, calm down. I am just... just thinking of another possibility," Lei Yuya said.

Annoyed. Yue Suli said, "Possibility, your ass! Sleep in the guest room tonight! Hmp!"

"Ah no! Honey, I’m sorry!" Lei Yuya said but the Empress had left the room in anger dragging the doctor out with her.

After the empress had left, a man appeared leaning on the window. This man had a familiar face as well, though look younger than when Yue Xuexia met her. It’s Lei Yuye, the future Thunder King of the Immortal World.

Lei Yuye said, "Haha~ little brother, I didn’t mean to watch you anger your wife. Pfft! So you are not going sleep in your bedroom tonight?~"

"Brother, don’t tease. I don’t know why she gets angry like that. I am only telling her another possibility," said Lei Yuya.

Lei Yuye thought for a moment, "This situation feels interesting. I also want to meet your children. When are you going to introduce my nephews and niece to me?"

"When Lei’er and Wu’er come back I will introduce them to you. Or do you want to meet your niece first, she might not be your niece at the moment," said Lei Yuya.

Lei Yuye chuckles, "Alright. I will check on your daughter, but it might not be, for you~."

That night after the effects of the medicine had faded Yue Xuexia once again opened her eyes and noticed someone sitting at the window of her room. She was vigilant at first until she saw the man’s face.

"You don’t seem on guard towards me, Princess. Do you know who I am?" Lei Yuye asked as he walked towards the pale and delicate looking young lady laying on the bed.

Seeing that she wanted to sit up, Lei Yuye instinctively supported her. Upon meeting the pure and clear eyes of Yue Xuexia, Lei Yuye felt that his little brother is too much to call his own daughter an imposter.

The two stare at one another until Lei Yuye feels embarrassed being stared like this and looks around. He saw a basket of fruits on the side table and asked the little girl.

"Do you want to eat some apples?"

Yue Xuexia upon not eating anything ever since she woke up nods her head. She watches as her young version uncle peeled and cut apple rabbits for her. Seeing a younger mother and now a younger uncle, Yue Xuexia already has some guesses in her heart. But she didn’t voice them out afraid that this dream would end abruptly. She still hasn’t seen her father and sister as well as grandfather and grandmother yet. So she decided to stay quiet.

Lei Yuye said, "Eat..."

Yue Xuexia stares at the rabbit apples and smiles, "Rabbit."

"Do you like it?" Lei Yuye asked.

Yue Xuexia nodded her head and started eating, "I like it. Thank you, uncle."

Suddenly being called uncle by Yue Xuexia, Lei Yuye was caught off guard. He was about to question the little girl when suddenly the empress arrived. He jumped out of the window before he was caught. When he took one last glimpse of her niece she saw her waving at her.
