SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS-Chapter 1019 - 1016: SHE IS DYING!
All of them shook their heads. After all, Zara had taken them by surprise. She didn’t even give anyone a heads-up before dropping such a bomb.
The clock was ticking and as much as Diamond didn’t want to spoil their mood and make the gloomy tension even worse, she still found herself taking a deep breath, ready to be merciless.
Looking at the sleeping Zara, she inwardly apologized, ’You might not want this but to have what you want, a bit of threatening might work,’ before looking at Zara’s beloved people in her life and revealed, "She is going to die!" her words very direct, it made all of them stagger.
"W-what did you just say?" Lena felt like she was dreaming. Otherwise, how could her ears hear such crazy things?
Diamond looked coldly at everyone in the room and repeated, "Zara didn’t want you to know but if we don’t find the damn book in these eight days then this time for real, you will be holding her funeral," each word of hers stabbing their hearts.
"You are _" Lena was about to say something, but Diamond cut her off.
"I don’t care about your thoughts right now. Get that wedding prepared. It doesn’t need to be extravagant. As long as it’s one and oh ... better do it in Rozinya. She will be happy over there. After all, her deity will be watching her!" Diamond stated as her gaze landed on a confused Amir, "and oh, dear groom, you don’t have much time to prepare for the wedding. You better get out of your stupor and start moving!"
After saying that, Diamond carried the sleeping Zara to her villa, where several servants once again started taking care of her.
As for the reactions of those who remained, honestly, she didn’t care. As long as she helped Zara get what she wanted, then she would be at ease.
She didn’t have a choice as well. As much as she didn’t want to see Zara getting married hastily just because she had a chance of dying, this time she didn’t know what to do.
Her system might be omnipotent, but she can’t defy the natural order of things. She must wait patiently for the seventh day to get the answer. Which would be a day before the deadline.
Rather than waiting for the prediction skill to give her the answers, all she could do now was pray earnestly to her nameless deity to give her strength and power to be able to aid Zara.
As she brushed the white hair gently, Diamond earnestly prayed, hoped and vowed that if she got what she wanted, she was going to devote her entire life plus her family in the future to serve the bird deity that gave her all this.
She just didn’t want to see Zara dying on her watch. And she hoped that the deity, no, the deities, also thought like that as well.
After putting her to bed, Diamond left the villa and found everyone waiting for her, their eyes murderous, as if ready to kill her.
She understood that she was a bit hasty when she said what she said, but that couldn’t be helped.
To help Zara get her wish, she was willing to become a villain. It’s not like it was the first time that she had become one.
So, when she found everyone waiting for her, she knew what they wanted; answers.
And answers she was going to do her best to provide.
After all, how could she not reveal such important news to everyone?
If they ever play hooky and don’t search for the book seriously, then the guilt of not helping Zara live will eat them for the rest of their lives.
Why should Zara suffer alone when there are so many people who would seriously help her?
"So, what do you want to know?"
Thinking about how fate was cruel, Diamond felt like a true villain, wishing to incur pain on everyone, and Zara’s family happen to be her target.
"Is she really going to die?"
Diamond didn’t look at the person who asked the question in particular but looked at Zara’s parents.
"Yes, she is going to die. This is not a joking matter. If we don’t find that damn book in the remaining days, then you need to start preparing for the funeral.
The book is the final straw, the one that is connecting all of this. Without it, the ritual can’t be performed. Without the ritual, then only death awaits," she coldly explained, and without giving them a chance to retort, added, "since the book is very hard to get right now, we have a few options. Continue to search with everything that we have, and prepare for the wedding.
If we find the book, then thank goodness, Zara will live, but if not, at least let her die with her wish fulfilled. You wouldn’t want her to remain lingering in the world simply because she didn’t marry the man she loved, right?
Moreover, it’s not like she is underage. She is twenty-three years old. And adult, so let her have what she wants."
After dropping that bomb on the family, Diamond rose to her feet and looked at the family members.
"It’s your choice. Anyway, I am here to lend a hand, and not order you around," with that, she left the room, heading to her room with a gloomy expression.
Time wasn’t on her side, and the prediction skill was getting on her nerves. She was panicking and blaming herself inwardly for being unable to help much.
If she fails this mission ..... she closed her eyes as she clenched her fists tightly. She didn’t know how she would be able to live with the guilt of being unable to help.
She hasn’t felt this helpless in more than a year and the feeling was pretty awful.
----****----
Days passed, and the wedding preparation started on full force.
Diamond wasn’t idle, she continued to find ways of predicting where the book was faster, and that kept her on her toes.
In fact, she even started looking through the metaphysics books inside the Golden Space very seriously, hoping that she might learn a thing or two and get the answers she needed quickly.
She didn’t want to see the girl fading into nothingness and letting the villains win.
The supporting system pretended like it was dead and didn’t offer any mission items. Diamond was going nuts.
Thankfully, after so many stressful days without gaining a single thing, the first wedding finally started. although prepared hastily, it was all in order.
On the wedding day, around eleven, those who were dolling up were done and everyone was gathering at the massive tent pitched at the golf course where the wedding was going to take place.
Recording this wonderful moment were the several drones’ invisible to the eyes of many.
Gathering all Hansley’s family members, those who could show up, there were thirty-four of them, including Zara.
And then the servants, who were many in numbers and on Amir’s side, there was himself and his sister who arrived yesterday for the wedding. They couldn’t have the wedding without at least one family member, so the sister came.
For outsiders, there was Diamond only, the special guest they couldn’t do without. And totaling everyone of importance, there were thirty-five guests.
And each one of them was dressed beautifully and handsomely, ready to make this day into one that wouldn’t be forgotten easily.
Around eleven-thirty, everyone was seated and ready for the bride and groom to make their appearance.
Ashely once again took an important role at the wedding. She was going to sing and play the piano, and the wedding march when the bride entered.
And she had been preparing for this moment for a few days and was pretty nervous.
The master of ceremonies was Selena. She was good at hosting events, so she took over this job.
" .... Now please let us welcome the groom to the front!" after speaking a lot of stuff, making everyone chuckle, forgetting the worries that awaited them in the future, Selena called for the groom and all eyes suddenly were at the back.
The necks were craned, and some even turned their bodies to get a closer look. Those who were younger had their phones out ready to capture the famous thief who stormed into their garden and stole their cabbage.
Ashely played a celebratory tune as Amir, the groom, made his entrance.
With the tune being played, all eyes were on Amir, who was nervous inside, though outwardly he didn’t appear so.
For this wedding, despite being a last-minute thing, he prepared a lot to look good for her.
The wedding theme was blue, with blue as one of Zara’s favorite colors.
So, to match the color theme, Amir wore a blue suit which fitted him perfectly, as if he was born wearing it.
