Side Job: SSS-Class Necromancer!-Chapter 53: [Helping out a Noble!]

"Hey Elios! Oooh! Nice robe! Oh wait! I have a bit of a surprise for you!"(Yuna)

Yuna spoke in a particularly enthusiastic tone as she waved at Noah, urging him to come close to her.

Noah looked at the stack of paper lying on her table and a single sheet of document lying at the top shining more brightly than the others.

"First of all congratulations on becoming an Assistant Professor. I am proud of you!"(Yuna)

Yuna got out and hugged Noah tightly, while Noah simply let her be until she took a step back and then picked up that fancy shining paper and passed it to Noah.

"Normally an Acolyte isn’t allowed to take a higher level request without permission. But because you were so great at your work, I worked hard with the administrators to get you this. It’s a permission slip, allowing you to take requests of all the nobles below the kings and the princes."(Yuna)

’We have Kings and Queens? I thought it was a church based country.’(Noah)

[Both honestly. The main capital of the Light Kingdom is church based but there’s another capital near the north-west where the Kings and the Queen of the Kingdom rule. Both the ruling parties respect each other’s beliefs, though. Hence, there is little friction within the ruling.](Elios)

Yuna paused for a brief moment before explaining to Noah about the requests and their nature. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"With the Assistant Professor tag, you can actually take Baron and Viscount level tasks. It’s a privilege that comes with that. Just to let you know, the professors can take requests upto duke. As for the King, Queens and their childrens, only the head priest and the Saintesses are allowed to cure them in case they are in any peril. Unless of course, they make special requests of any sorts."(Yuna)

Hearing her words, Noah was a bit surprised before looking at the document in his hand.

"While not much. With this, you can take 10 requests per month from Dukes and below. Though I tried my best, the final result was only passed when Saintess Alicia decided to support you. Don’t know why she did that given she remains neutral most of the time but hey... it’s great, isn’t it?"(Yuna)

A bright smile was present on her face as she looked at Noah.

The fact that Noah would now be able to make some genuine requests that would earn him money, made her really happy.

And this feeling... of others being happy with your success... others working for your happiness...

This made Noah feel a bit surprised... a pleasant one.

"Thank you, Yuna."(Noah)

Noah politely bowed to her, making her embarrassed as she stopped him from doing so. She then hurriedly gave him a fist bump.

"We are friends, Elios. Just help me out when you can, haha. Now go. Shoo shoo... I have to work..."(Yuna)

Yuna then gave him a bundle of requests to Noah and then pushed him out of the office before getting back to her own work.

[We should bring her some snacks back.](Elios)

Noah walked outside the temple as he checked the contents of the requests.

There was one in particular written in gold.

It belonged to one of the counts asking for a request regarding a regular check up on the count’s health.

The reward was 10 Gold which was neither too much nor too less at the moment for Noah.

"Seems like we would finally be venturing to the noble’s district."(Noah)

Noah mumbled before walking towards the east side, inner circle of the city, where the nobles resided.

Unlike the modern fantasy houses that were present in the city, this circle had roman stone paved streets. The walls of the houses seemed to be of some sort of strong fancy ore, and the houses themselves were a mansion each.

Most of the houses here had wide gardens, with each mansion placed at least 100 meters away from the entrance.

As for the Count in question, for whom Noah had come here

The Emerald gate outside was huge enough for half a dozen buses to enter together. Their were 4 guards outside the gate, two on each side and as Noah moved closer to one of them, one of them observed him with slight confusion.

"I am here for the request."(Noah)

Noah then showed the request letter, to which he analyzed it using some strange device.

"All right, you may pass."(Guard)

As a small gate within the big gate opened, Noah entered it, only to find a huge green garden that stretched at least 500 meters before the mansion came into sight.

Most of the flowers here were green and white, just like the mansion’s rooftop.

Noah simply nodded at Elios words before moving towards the mansion.

Took about 5 minutes as he observed the beautiful scenery around him, showing him a mixture of craftsmanship and magic in it as strange green butterflies flew in the air before turning into stardust.

Once again Noah was reminded of the fantasy world that he was living in.

"Assistant Professor Elios?!"

And as Noah was enjoying the scenery, a voice came from behind.

"You are?"(Noah)

At first Noah was confused, but the next second he recognized the girl in front of him.

Green hair and emerald like eyes, she was the same girl he had saved before, the same girl that he had taught in the class today. In a way, it was their third encounter.

Funny coincidence.

"Uh! I am Christine Estarte De Reiga! The third daughter of Count Vilas Estarte De Reiga!"(Christine)

She bowed politely before Noah bowed as well.

"I am Elios Gregory. I am here on behalf of the temple request."(Noah)

Noah then showed the request form just as he did to the guard.

Looking at the request, Christine was surprised a bit before she nodded.

"Let me show you the way then. Please follow me."(Christine)
