Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don't Want to Have Any More Children With You-Chapter 31Vol 4. : To the Shadow
Leon briefly explained the background and details of the situation, yet Nacho and the others struggled to digest it.
“Captain, are you saying that your status among the dragons and among humans is... essentially the same?”
Leon scratched his head, “Not exactly the same, but close enough.”
“And they still sent you as their negotiator?”
“That’s because they don’t know I’m human.”
“It’s a miracle you’ve managed to keep that hidden for so long.”
“Not a miracle, just the result of my remarkable intelligence and unmatched skill in disguise.”

“Alright, enough nonsense,” Nacho interjected, cutting off Leon and Rebecca’s playful exchange.
Standing with his arms crossed, Nacho turned slightly, his gaze sweeping past Leon to the grand gathering of dragons behind him. From their positions and the colors of their tails, it seemed like at least a dozen different tribes had gathered here.
Nacho returned his gaze to Leon, who stood as the diplomat between humans and dragons. “So, all those dragons are under your command now?”
Leon shook his head. “Not under my command. I was chosen through the Council of Dragon Kings as the representative for these negotiations. Most dragons will communicate their stance on the war through me to the humans.”
“Oh, I get it,” Rebecca muttered thoughtfully.
“Good, as long as you understand.”
“You’re one of a kind!” she exclaimed, earning an exasperated look from Martin.
“Martin, keep this woman quiet.”
“Understood.” Martin cast a resigned glance at Rebecca, who reluctantly stepped aside.
This scene did not go unnoticed by the dragons behind Leon. The Golden Sand Dragon King squinted, “Seems the Silver Dragon Prince is showing those humans who’s boss.”
“What do you mean?” another Dragon King asked.
“Didn’t you see? He brought that little human girl here, forcing them into a one-on-one negotiation.”
“This must be the Silver Dragon Prince’s way of pressuring the humans to give equal terms.”
The other Dragon King nodded in realization. “Ah, so that’s it!”
“Bravo!” Morgan clapped his hands in admiration. “No wonder Odin recommended him as our negotiator—truly a brilliant choice!”
“I’m confident the dragons will gain substantial benefits from these negotiations!”
“Indeed. And to think he insisted on negotiating alone without any aides—such courage at such a young age! His future is boundless.”
As the Dragon Kings continued to shower Leon with praises, Rosvisser couldn’t help but silently sigh. To her, it wasn’t a power play or an attempt to intimidate. The reason the twin-tailed young girl had been ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) escorted away was likely because her constant complaints were about to make Leon lose his composure!
“Careful!” Isha’s voice called out from the side.
“What is it, sister?” Rosvisser looked puzzled.
“You need to perform,” Isha replied with a mischievous glint.
Before Rosvisser could ask what she meant, Isha raised her arm, clenched her fist high, and pointed into the distance, shouting, “Leon Cosmod, the Light of the Dragon’s Future!”
Rosvisser: (ΩДΩ)
“The Light of the Future... Yes, Leon is the Light of the Future!” others echoed.
“Leon!”
“Cosmod is the Dragon’s Future Light!”
The dragons, naturally susceptible to emotional influence, began to chant Leon’s name, with some even unleashing bursts of dragon fire to celebrate him.
Amidst the flames and cheers, Rosvisser stood surrounded, helpless as they raised their voices. *If they only knew that this so-called ‘Future Light’ was once that man clad in black armor, they probably wouldn’t be chanting so eagerly.*
As the dragon fire illuminated the darkened sky, Nacho grew alert.
“What’s happening? Are they about to turn on us?”
Before Leon could answer, a chorus of shouts calling “Leon, my hero!” filled the air.
Leon gritted his teeth, but in the end, he just sighed. *So, they understand now...*
Nacho took a sharp breath. “Are you the Prince of the Silver Dragons or the Prince of all dragons?”
“Get lost! Don’t joke about that—I have only one wife, Rosvisser Melkvey.”
“Who asked you?”
The clamor gradually died down, and Leon and Nacho turned to the business at hand.
“So, what’s the dragons’ stance on this war?” Nacho asked.
“If we can secure an immediate ceasefire, what are the conditions?”
Leon replied, “They want the lands lost due to the Empire’s conspiracy with the traitorous Dragon King returned to the displaced tribes. In exchange, the dragons will also return some resources.”
“I’ll ensure the Dragon King prepares materials to support the terms. The land and resources exchange is fair—we won’t lose out.”
Nacho nodded. “No problem.”
“Good, you’re quite agreeable. Don’t you need to consult your superiors?”
“...Well then, may I ask, Lord Leon, are you satisfied with the terms you just proposed?”
“Satisfied.”
“Very well.”
Nacho exhaled slightly in relief. “Then, is the negotiation over?”
“Wait, it’s not over yet.”
“What?”
Leon’s face was calm as he gazed at Nacho.
Nacho sensed there was something more and tightened his grip on his weapon. “Is there anything you need me to handle on the Empire’s side?”
“Oh, no. I just think we should hold this stance for another five minutes.”
“...Why?”
“Because it makes us look cool during negotiations.”
...
Nacho rolled his eyes in exasperation.
*Is everyone in the Empire’s former elite dragon squad like this?* Nacho mused. *A mad, twin-tailed girl, a clueless mage, and a captain with a flair for drama. Thank goodness I didn’t end up on the front lines of the Dragon Corps, or I might have turned out like them.*
“Speaking of which, how did you handle Canter?” Leon asked.
“Just as you suggested. After our interrogation, we handed him over to the people for judgment. The verdict was a parade of shame, followed by execution.”
“Good. Fools like that have no place in this world.”
Leon held no sympathy for a ruler like King Canter.
“Did you manage to get any valuable information out of him?”
Nacho frowned and shook his head. “No. Even memory magic couldn’t penetrate his mind. It seems there’s some sort of barrier in place that blocks all attempts.”
“A barrier? Perhaps an insurance policy by the Royal Guard?”
“We’re not certain. Additionally... we still haven’t found any trace of Queen Elizabeth.”
“When we captured King Canter on the battlefield, Queen Elizabeth was nowhere to be found.”
“We thought she might have simply hidden in the chaos, but after exhaustive searches, we still couldn’t locate her.”
Nacho paused before adding, “However, we did find a sealed letter in her study. I was going to send it to you via courier, but since you’re here, I’ll give it to you directly.”
Nacho handed Leon an envelope from his pocket.
Leon opened it to find a letter filled with flowery, poetic words, with no apparent focus or meaning. However, what caught his attention was the final line:
“To the Shadow.”
