Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure-Chapter 2103: One mind
She had already come forward and leaned down as if she was waiting for me to put the saddle on her.
Seeing her like this put an awkward look on my face and I really didn’t want to do anything like this.
But it really didn’t seem like she was going to let this go.
Especially when she moved along with me as I took a step back.
With how she followed me as I tried to get away, it was clear that she would follow me until I put this saddle on her.
The look on her face was almost as if she was excited to put this saddle on and test it.
I really didn’t understand why Lupus was feeling this way, but it really was hard for me to say no when she acted like this.
So in the end, I had no choice but to go forward and put this saddle on her.
It was an awkward experience, but she did what she could to make it easy for me.
In fact, it was my first time putting a saddle on a wolf like this, so it wasn’t as if I knew what I was doing. If it wasn’t for her instructions as I put on the saddle, it would have taken far longer to do this.
Once the saddle was on, Lupus looked completely different.
She was still the mighty fenrir, but now she looked like a proper battle mount.
Lupus even seemed amazed by her appearance when the saddle was on herself, almost as if she was proud of how she looked. Though there was also this trace of nostalgia that was in her eyes as she looked at herself.
It was clear that she had used this saddle before and with a different person, though I had no idea who that would be.
After the saddle was on, she leaned down in front of me as if she was waiting for me to mount her.
But seeing her like this really put another awkward look on my face.
In the end, I sucked up that feeling and got on Lupus’ back.
The moment that I did, it felt like there was this connection that was formed.
I didn’t know how it was formed, but it felt as if there was something that connected to my brain all of a sudden. It didn’t take long for another connection to form with my brain and I could feel someone else’s will attached to it.
This was Lupus’ mind that had suddenly become attached to mine.
I knew that it was Lupus because of the senses that I had gained, only a wolf would have senses like this.
"You are now in control." Her voice rang out directly in my mind before falling silent.
After she said this, she suddenly got up and stood on all fours. With how she was standing there, it was as if she was waiting for some kind of order.
I knew that she was waiting for me to give this order, but it was more than that.
The saddle really did give me full control of Lupus, to the point where I could make her do whatever I wanted her to do. It even reached the point where I could have her go on a suicidal charge if I wanted her to do so...
I really didn’t like this feeling of controlling every part of Lupus like this, it just simply didn’t feel right.
When I didn’t give an order, Lupus said, "Don’t worry about me, this is just how we combine our powers together. It’s the best way since a god’s messenger should always follow a..."
Her voice trailed off at the end of this as if she realized her mistake, but I knew what she was going to say which made me knit my brows.
It was also why I suddenly got off Lupus’ back and gave her back control of herself.
She looked at me as if she was disappointed, but it wasn’t as if she was disappointed with me. It was almost as if she was disappointed with herself like she was saying that she wasn’t worthy of me.
I really didn’t know what to say when she looked at me like this, but there was a feeling of guilt that filled me.
With her giving me this much trust, it seemed like I was indeed letting her down by not testing this with her. But at the same time, it also felt like she was using guilt to make me do this with her.
It took a bit of struggle, but I resigned myself in the end.
"No matter what, it’s possible that we’ll have to do this in the future to fight those Four Omens. It’s better to be prepared than to be caught off guard when the time comes."
So with a sigh, I got back on Lupus’ back and controlled her once more.
Other than the joy that I felt from her, I could also feel a bit of excitement.
But I couldn’t help asking, "Don’t you feel wronged being forced into this?"
"I was raised for this and I take pride in what I do."
Her words just made me feel even more pity for her instead of making me feel better.
"Please, just let me fulfill my role."
When she said this in a voice that almost seemed like she was pleading with me, I really had no choice at that point.
I had no idea what she had gone through in the past, but it seemed like it wasn’t a happy childhood.
For now, I would go along with her.
So that was why I gave the order, "Run forward."
I had only gotten halfway through the order when Lupus burst forward.
When she did, I was completely caught off guard by this sudden burst of speed and wind that hit me.
It felt like I was about to be ripped off the saddle that I was sitting on.
