Shocking! My Rugged Husband is the Hidden Tycoon in the 70s Novel-Chapter 415: Big Sister Is a Demon King
His sister is like a little demon queen.
With nothing much happening that day, Xu Qinghuan couldn’t get out of bed, so Jiang Xingye ended up staying home to take care of the kids.
The whole morning was a chaotic mess.
Normally, it was Jiang Xinglan who came over to help Xu Qinghuan, but today it was Jiang Xingye. The two of them didn’t work well together, leading to much frantic rushing, even causing their usually unflappable second child to wail a few times.
This was because he usually pooped at this time every day, and his mom would always be there to assist him. But today, despite all his hints, his dad was oblivious to it, and he couldn’t hold it in anymore, so he cried.
Xu Qinghuan rushed out from the room. Seeing her son’s face red from holding it in, she quickly took off his diaper and helped him with his business.
The little one let out a big sigh after going, his little face finally relieved.
At last, he felt comfortable.
He clasped his little hands, placed them on his belly, nestled in his mom’s arms, and showed a relaxed smile.
Jiang Xingye laughed himself silly, poked his son’s little dimples, and said, "Hurry up and learn to talk. If you don’t talk, how would we know what you need?"
Jiang Chijing turned his head to glance at his dad but didn’t bother to respond.
Xu Qinghuan said, a little exasperated, "He’s just a few months old now, if he actually talked, wouldn’t it scare people to death?"
Jiang Xinglan came in holding a spatula and said, "You just go on babbling all day!"
Jiang Xingye still smiled smugly, "Every time I see this kid’s expression, I just want to tease him. Always with that serious look, as if he’s my old man."
Xu Qinghuan laughed, glancing at her son, then at Jiang Xingye, teasing him, "This son doesn’t resemble you at all. You don’t suspect he’s not yours, do you?"
Jiang Xingye lifted his hand as if he was going to smack her, but his eyes were smiling, "Nonsense!"
Xu Qinghuan chuckled and, taking advantage of when Jiang Xinglan was turned away cooking, kissed him on the earlobe, "Confident, aren’t you?"
Even so, Xu Qinghuan found herself enjoying it. This kind of genuine trust between a couple was truly precious.
It was also evident how much Jiang Xingye cherished their son.
When it came to their daughter, he spoiled her endlessly. But for their son, he valued him highly and was often very proud.
Jiang Xinglan, hearing from outside, turned her head and said to Xu Qinghuan, "Little Five had that mature personality when he was a kid, always like a little old man. It’s only later... that he changed."
Jiang Xingye didn’t take it to heart, but Xu Qinghuan felt a stab of pain from it. She appeared indifferent at the moment, but at night, when the kids were asleep, and the couple was in bed, she got up, cupped Jiang Xingye’s face, and kissed him, saying, "Did you hear? He’s your own son."
Jiang Xingye turned and pinned her down, "Can’t let it go, can you?"
He gripped Xu Qinghuan’s chin and kissed fiercely, "You know I don’t like hearing that. Are you teasing me on purpose?"
Xu Qinghuan laughed, pleading softly, "Why were you so fierce last night? I won’t say it again, I promise, Xingye, good Xingye, Little Five, Bro Xing..."
Every morning, Jiang Xingye would shave his face, and by night, it would be a stubbly blue, prickling her face, neck, and chest, itchy and tingling.
The couple messed around for a bit until Xu Qinghuan received a kick. She paused in surprise, Jiang Xingye turned his head and saw his son’s eyes glowing like small lanterns in the dark, seemingly saying, "You’re too noisy!"
Jiang Xingye couldn’t continue, turned over, and sighed deeply.
Xu Qinghuan turned to hug their son, felt him, and found him dry. She guessed he was hungry and started breastfeeding him.
Jiang Xingye reached over and touched the other side, only to get pushed away firmly by his son.
Jiang Xingye laughed in exasperation, propped up, and stared at his son, "You little rascal, do you know whose territory this is? It’s mine, your dad’s. I’m just lending it to you, and you’ve already taken over!"
Xu Qinghuan felt embarrassed, "Go to sleep!"
"I can’t sleep!" he lay down, too embarrassed to fight with his son, but still couldn’t restrain himself. As he entered, Xu Qinghuan bit her jaw tight.
He moved, his son couldn’t feed properly, and Jiang Chijing, not knowing what was happening, grew impatient and started crying.
Xu Qinghuan gave Jiang Xingye a light slap, "Behave yourself!"
By the time Jiang Chijing was fed and asleep, Jiang Xingye was already sweating heavily, veins pounding. He pushed Xu Qinghuan onto her stomach, "Is this kid here to settle a score?"
All the things used by their kids—bed, toys, stroller—were designed and made by Jiang Xingye himself.
Once he made them, the furniture factory would follow his model, and they sold really well.
On good weather days, Xu Qinghuan would push the two kids out with a tandem stroller to the threshing ground where some members of the Shangjiang Team were threshing corn cobs. Older kids were helping to earn work points while the younger ones, like little Erdan, were just playing wildly.
Previously, this season, kids were all chased to pick mountain goods. Now adults no longer go to the mountains, and older kids, some were even working in factories, for safety, children are not allowed to go to the mountains.
That’s just Shangjiang Team for you.
Other teams at this time were busy shelling corn.
Jiang Xingye steadfastly refused to let the threshing machine out on credit, preferring a rental model, which other production teams found uneconomical.
The production methods passed down from their ancestors weren’t easy to change.
And indeed, the threshing machines weren’t hard to sell. In the first half of the year, some military farms placed quite a lot of orders, the factory was rushing production, and Shangjiang Team didn’t have many, so there were none extra to lease out to other teams.
This was all within Jiang Xingye’s expectations. He knew their mindset too well.
In Xu Qinghuan’s space, she had hoarded a lot of books before, and Jiang Xingye, in his spare time, read them, widening his knowledge.
He was originally good at understanding people, and now he had reached an impressive level of control.
"Here comes Xingye’s wife, come have a seat. Oh my, those two chubby little ones really grew. They were so big in just a few days." Xie Zaohua moved a chair from under her seat for Xu Qinghuan.
Zhou Guizhi brought over a low, long bench, pulled out a section for Xie Zaohua, and said, "They grow like weeds, so fast. I see them every day and they seem different each day."
The two kids each had a piece of rice cake in their hands, enjoying it to their heart’s content.
Hu E’s grandson, Du Xiaoping, stood nearby waiting for his chance. Xu Qinghuan saw him but didn’t pay much attention, being that he was just five years old, looking quite messy. She pulled the stroller closer to herself and chatted with Xie Zaohua.
"Did Shenghua start at the factory? I heard a few days ago from Xingye that the Liaozhong Team was interested in Shenghua. How’s it going?"
Xie Zaohua pondered, "It’s fine, but they asked for a bride price of five hundred. With the production team’s current situation, we can afford it. But... Shenghua is still young, we’d like to wait a couple more years."
Since Jiang Xingye had given five hundred as bride price for Xu Qinghuan, it had become the standard for those demanding high, asking prices. It’s straightforward to start at five hundred.
"Waaaaah!"
Nearby, Du Xiaoping fell to the ground, crying, with a scratch on his face, scratched by Jiang Xingcan.
Standing nearby was little Erdan. Seeing Du Xiaoping crying, Hu E rushed over angrily, and he timidly leaned toward Xu Qinghuan.
"Little Auntie, he was trying to take Little Bao’s rice cake, and he even hit Little Bao, so I pushed him."
Even though Xu Qinghuan was chatting with Xie Zaohua, she was fully aware of the happenings concerning her own kids.
