She Has Three Little Treasures: Fake Heiress, Yet Captures The Tycoon's Heart-Chapter 1047: Trying to Imitate Others by Jumping Off a Building?
Raina and Elias Hawthorne hurried over, and felt a sense of relief seeing Pip Finch unharmed.
Raina immediately rushed over, shielding Pip behind her. Her slender body was tense, and she scanned the surroundings warily, asking in a low voice, "Which side’s people are they?"
Pip was stunned: "What people from which side?"
"Wasn’t someone attacking you just now?"
"No, not at all," Pip was even more confused, wondering when anyone was attacking, trying to take his life.
Raina gave Pip a look: "Weren’t you calling for help on the phone just now?"
"Yes, but I was asking Orion to save someone else’s life, that’s right, it’s your little brother-in-law. Raina, you don’t know..."
Bringing up Felix Hawthorne, Pip had plenty of complaints to air.
He always thought he was shameless enough, but didn’t expect Felix to be even more of the top dog in such matters.
Pip was complaining energetically, hence he didn’t notice Raina’s face growing darker.
Finally, Raina couldn’t help but interrupt him: "Pip Finch, is this what you wanted to tell me?"
"Yes. Do you really think, Raina, that there are any experts in Veridia who can take me on? Haha, how is that possible? Just those guys like Wyatt Warren, I can take a hundred of them in one breath."
Pip laughed arrogantly: "Raina, you can’t be that dumb, right? Hahaha!"
Raina’s face froze, and she said very dangerously, "Sorry to disappoint you, I am just that foolish, but there’s one thing you said wrong, Veridia has never lacked experts."
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, she launched an attack on Pip.
Pip’s laughter abruptly stopped: "Raina, let’s discuss this nicely, why suddenly start fighting? Let’s talk it out, don’t get so riled up. Don’t hit the face, ow ow ow ... Raina, are you trying to ruin my handsome face because you’re afraid I’ll steal your spotlight? Boo hoo..."
By the end of the beating, Pip was left holding his head and scurrying away, until a slight sweat broke out on his back, and only then did Raina sigh in relief.
Being beaten to a pulp, Pip, clutching his head, hid in the corner, crying loudly.
"Hey hey hey!" Felix Hawthorne called out for ages, his voice hoarse, his strength gone, he said weakly, "Can you spare a thought for me? I’m the one being held hostage, I’m the one who should be your focus."
Raina finally shifted her gaze to him, looking at Felix, teetering on the edge of the window, she said in a deep voice, "Aren’t you going to come down quickly? Do I have to invite you personally?"
"No need, no need." Felix, recalling the hero’s recent beating, wouldn’t really let his dear sister-in-law lend a hand, and immediately began to climb down.
Then, like a kite with a broken string, he plummeted downstairs.
"Ahhhh!"
Felix let out a piercing scream, a sound that seemed as if it could tear the ceiling off.
Raina couldn’t help but use her finger to clean out her ear, then kicked Felix lightly, "Alright, alright, that’s enough, keep screaming, and I’ll go deaf."
"Sis-in-law, how can you be so cold! I, I almost fell down and ended up as mincemeat!" Felix recalled the recent scene, and couldn’t help wanting to burst into tears.
It scared him to death, just a bit more and he would have said goodbye to this beautiful world.
Seeing Felix shivering, looking crazed with fear, Raina couldn’t help but roll her eyes, "So gutless, and yet you want to learn how to jump out of windows?"
Though Raina found Felix’s sobbing annoying, it truly was dangerous earlier. If she hadn’t been closely monitoring that situation and wasn’t nearby, Felix might not have been saved either.
