She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 182 - A Wedding for You
Chapter 182: Chapter 182: A Wedding for You?
Chapter 182: Chapter 182: A Wedding for You?
Shen Heyu gave a weak smile.
The door to the hospital room was pushed open, and Pei Yansi stood at the doorway, his tall figure accentuated by the black suit he wore.
He looked at Shen Heyu and said, “Let’s go.”
Shen Heyu didn’t want to be alone with him at all and even wanted to dawdle here for a while longer, but as if her thoughts were seen through by him, he said in a deep voice, “Don’t you want to see what happens to Meng Ru?”
Meng Ru…
Shen Heyu remembered that last time it was Meng Ru who had pretended to harm her before helping her escape, even though she ended up being captured again…
She fell silent for a few seconds, her thoughts in turmoil. After some consideration, she still got up.
It wasn’t that she was worried about Meng Ru, but she indeed wanted to see just what he would do for her.
Pei Yansi, on the other hand, thought that by letting her witness his ruthless methods, perhaps she would become more obedient.
Shen Heyu said goodbye to Lu Yunlan and followed him out.
As soon as she got into the car, he, just like before, pulled her to his side.
Making her sit in his embrace.
She had long since gotten used to it and made no movements, knowing that resistance was futile.

Pei Yansi noticed the dissatisfaction in her beautiful eyes but said nothing, instead gently caressing her moist lips.
“Still thinking about Lu Yi?”
“No.”
Pei Yansi stared at her for half a second, remained silent, and without regard for her resistance, he dropped a kiss on her lips.
The car stopped at the hotel where Shen Heyu had initially left from.
In the dimly-lit underground parking lot, she immediately thought back to the day she had ‘betrayed’ Pei Yansi.
As soon as Pei Yansi got out of the car and saw her expression, he knew what she was thinking. He laughed deeply yet his eyes were cold, “Now you know how bold you were back then?”
Shen Heyu didn’t speak.
He held her hand and led her towards the elevator.
Thinking of something in the elevator, she looked at his reflection through the elevator doors and said, “These past few days, have you kept her here all along?”
“What do you mean ‘kept’?” Pei Yansi corrected her, “That’s not the right behavior; I merely ‘lodged’ her here temporarily.”
“You should know that this is what she has always wanted.”
Shen Heyu felt his words carried a profound meaning. Before she could delve deeper into it, the elevator had already reached the floor.
The moment the elevator doors opened, Pei Yansi pulled her by the hand towards the room where Meng Ru was staying.
Meng Ru had already been here for many days.
Since the day Pei Yansi left, she never left this place again. Although meals were delivered three times a day, she still felt very uneasy, as if she was constantly waiting to be slaughtered at any moment.
The moment the door opened, she instinctively looked toward the entrance and saw Pei Yansi holding Shen Heyu as they entered.
Seeing Shen Heyu, she subconsciously knew that she was done for this time.
She still remembered Bai Sheng’er’s fate; just because she bullied their daughter, the result was… Fear flickered in her eyes, but then she forcefully suppressed it.
She didn’t want to show any worry or fear in front of Shen Heyu.
“President Pei…” Meng Ru softly called out.
Pei Yansi didn’t look at her but sat down on a sofa nearby, also pulling Shen Heyu to sit next to him. Then, he turned his head to look at Shen Heyu by his side and said, “She encouraged you to run away, didn’t she?”
Shen Heyu detected the icy intent in his words.
Her hands involuntarily clenched, as she kept silent. She did not know what Pei Yansi intended by asking this inexplicable question, giving her an ominous feeling.
Her silence did not satisfy the man. He lifted her chin, his cold eyes fixing on her, “Why aren’t you speaking? Is this question that hard to answer?”
“What exactly do you want to do?” Shen Heyu asked directly, preferring to inquire rather than making random guesses.
Even though she knew there might be no answer.
But Pei Yansi then said, “If she incited you, then only she will be punished. Otherwise…”
His brows furrowed darkly, staring at her, the hand pinching her chin growing increasingly forceful.
Shen Heyu felt pain in her jaw, vaguely sensing that the man was angry again, even though she didn’t know why…
When she hadn’t done anything at all.
Yet, what angered Pei Yansi was her silence, her failure to respond to him, to even lie to him that Meng Ru incited her.
Otherwise, she would not have run away from him, and he would not be like this.
But Shen Heyu, after having been by his side and experiencing so much, still couldn’t grasp what was angering him this time.
While she was lost in her thoughts, she heard Pei Yansi say again, “Still not talking?”
“It was my own decision.”
Shen Heyu, pressed with no alternative, finally voiced her true thoughts. After she finished, she looked at Pei Yansi and saw his expression darken rapidly upon her confession.
He scoffed coldly.
She really was, unwilling to even tell a lie to him.
“So, you deserve to be punished, right?” Pei Yansi extended his hand, gently caressing her face with a languid motion, filled with fascination.
She did not respond, but trembled slightly from his touch.
Feeling her pulse throbbing under his palm, he looked into her eyes and said, “But I really can’t bear to. Let her take your punishment instead.”
After saying that, Pei Yansi glanced at Meng Ru.
This was the first time he had looked at her since entering the room.
Meng Ru met his icy gaze, trembling with fear. She could feel that he was genuinely angry.
This visit, however, he only brought Zhao Jin.
Turning his head to Zhao Jin, he said, “Find a way. I don’t want to see this person again.”
Zhao Jin nodded but didn’t act immediately. ‘Not wanting to see again’ simply meant chasing her out of the city.
Shen Heyu, however, conjured up many more dreadful possibilities in her mind.
Pei Yansi took her away, back to the Pei Mansion, and in the end, she never found out what became of Meng Ru.
When they got home, Yuexue had already woken up and was eating with the old lady in the dining room.
Seeing Shen Heyu return, the old lady smiled and said, “Heyu isn’t angry anymore, no need to get upset over a man.”
Shen Heyu offered a faint smile, knowing without a doubt that Pei Yansi had made up stories in front of her.
Pei Yansi did not give them a chance to chat, pulling Shen Heyu upstairs to their previous bridal chamber.
Sitting on the sofa, Shen Heyu saw him tugging at his tie, frowning, “Can you restrain yourself?” What she feared most was being alone with him, especially where there was a bed.
Pei Yansi paused, after realizing what she was referring to, he couldn’t help but snort in laughter, and the gloomy mood lifted.
He said, “What are you thinking? I’m just feeling hot.” He loosened his tie, sat beside her, and encircled her in his arms, saying, “Let’s make up for the wedding. What kind do you want?”
Shen Heyu did not want a public spectacle, replying, “I don’t want any kind at all.”
