She Asks for a Divorce Again-Chapter 118 - : Find Her
Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Find Her
“Ten billion.”
For Pei Yansi, it was indeed not much money.
Yet he did not immediately respond to Chen Bo’s words. The cigarette he held had burned down to the filter, scorching his fingers, yet he seemed to feel no pain as he leisurely stubbed it out.
Chen Bo, hearing nothing on the other end, grew anxious, but he could not let his anxiety show too clearly. In frustration, he slapped Shen Heyu across the face.
Shen Heyu cried out in pain.
Her cry of pain traveled through the phone to Pei Yansi’s end.
Chen Bo said into the phone, “President Pei, you better make a decision quickly, or I’ll have to start getting rough. She can’t wait for your long deliberation.”
“Huh.”
After speaking, Chen Bo heard laughter from the other side, low and clearly mocking.
But that was all, just a laugh, followed by silence.
Chen Bo furrowed his brows. “President Pei, what does that mean? Do you agree or not?”
He finished speaking but heard no response.
Shen Heyu listened quietly. The surroundings were very quiet, and she could only hear Pei Yansi’s faint breathing coming from the phone.
Ten billion—how could she be worth so much money?
Moreover, Pei Yansi never cared about her.
If he had kidnapped Yuexue today, maybe he could actually get that sum of money. She subconsciously bowed her head, as if embarrassed.
Her cheek stung where Chen Bo had slapped her, the pain sharp and burning. She seemed not to feel it anymore, only noticing the prolonged lack of response on the other end, her heart so uneasy it almost masked the pain.
After what felt like forever, the voice of Han Manyin came through, saying, “Ten billion, President Pei, who is this person? How can they be worth so much? What’s their background?”
It was that woman again.
Hearing this voice, Shen Heyu said to Chen Bo with self-mockery, “See? Everyone knows I’m not worth that much money. You kidnapped the wrong person.”
Chen Bo looked at Shen Heyu in disbelief.
She had a pretty face, and Pei Yansi had been relentless towards her. How could she not be important to him?
He was not resigned, saying, “I can’t possibly have misjudged!”
As he spoke, he switched the call to a video chat.
The moment the video started, Shen Heyu felt as if she’d been stripped naked and thrown onto the street, overwhelmed by shame. She hurriedly bowed her head, avoiding the camera.
She had never felt so embarrassed, being treated like a commodity, and she was well aware that she was not worth so much money.
She was silent for a few seconds, then suddenly felt a burst of intense pain in her scalp.
Chen Bo had grabbed her hair and lifted her face to the phone camera, forcing her to face the video.
As she looked up, she saw that Pei Yansi’s side had not turned on the camera—just darkness, she couldn’t see anything.
Chen Bo, furious, said, “President Pei, look carefully at your woman. Are you really not willing to spend this bit of money to exchange for her? It’s just ten billion, you could earn it back in just a few months!”
Pei Yansi truly didn’t lack the money.
But capital was fluid.
He stared at Shen Heyu’s image on his cellphone screen. Her hair was a mess from Chen Bo’s rough handling, draped chaotically over her face, making her look pitiful beyond words. Her eyes, presumably from crying, were very red.

Yet the dim lighting made it uncertain whether she had indeed cried.
Beside him was Han Manyin, surprisingly the woman he had met at the last banquet. She furrowed her brows; she had come to Pei Yansi’s company today hoping to work with him, chiefly following Meng Ru’s advice to rise in standing by staying close to Pei Yansi.
Yet she didn’t expect to witness this scene.
Even if this woman was caught in such a situation, she naturally hoped that Pei Yansi wouldn’t intervene; the goons might as well kill her, then she’d never come back, reducing her competitors.
Thinking this, Pei Yansi said, “President Pei, ten billion, maybe think this over carefully.”
Pei Yansi’s tone betrayed no emotion, and all Shen Heyu heard was his indifferent voice saying, “It should indeed be considered carefully,” his voice as cold as ever.
Every time he spoke like this, Shen Heyu knew he wouldn’t rescue her with money.
Tears welled up in her eyes, which she forced back; she should have expected this, everything he did was for Yuexue, even his attempt to remarry her, all of it.
Not a bit of it was for her, after all these years, she had never held a place in his heart.
As this thought crossed her mind, she heard Pei Yansi ask from the other end, “Where are you?”
She was stunned.
Chen Bo too was incredulously stunned—both thought he was agreeing. Chen Bo hurriedly said, “First prepare the money, come to the base of the Pei Building, and transfer it to me, then I’ll send the person over.”
Pei Yansi scoffed, “Mr. Chen, I don’t do things the way you do.”
Chen Bo thought for a moment, was about to speak, but then heard from the phone, “Give the address, I will bring the money over.”
“But be careful, I won’t allow her to lose even a single hair. If she loses a single hair, I’ll chop off one of your fingers.”
His words were chilling, and Chen Bo, while in control of this side, couldn’t help but break out in cold sweat.
He said, “Fine, but if you dare call the police, I’ll kill her with a single stab!”
As Chen Bo spoke, he pressed the knife against Shen Heyu’s neck.
It was both a threat and a warning.
Pei Yansi smirked lightly, then changed the subject, “Send the address to my phone.”
After speaking, he was the first to hang up.
The moment he put away his phone, all traces of a smile vanished from his face. He stood up and walked outside.
Seeing this, Han Manyin couldn’t help but grab him, saying, “President Pei, you…”
Pei Yansi turned, his gaze lowering to look at the hand she was holding him with, and he frowned, “Are you courting death?”
Hearing his icy question, Han Manyin instinctively let go.
Pei Yansi sized her up twice with dark, cold eyes, meeting her gaze that greatly resembled Shen Fanshuang’s. In the end, he did nothing more, merely saying, “I hope not to see you again, or next time it won’t be so simple.”
With that, he turned and left.
Outside, he called over Zhao Jin. The two left the Pei Building and got into a car.
Zhao Jin, sitting in the driver’s seat, was uncertain of his intentions, cautiously asking, “President Pei, are we really not calling the police?”
Pei Yansi scoffed, “Get to the place first, catch the person, then call the police.”
Otherwise, he couldn’t be sure what Chen Bo might do upon hearing the police sirens.
“Let’s go find her,” he coldly dropped the words.
