Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 672: Bachelor party
Luo Shih leaned against the doorway, phone in hand, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Why are you sulking," she teased her tone sounding like she was really enjoying this. Luo Muchen shot her a glare.
"I don’t see what’s so funny, Ma. You adults are acting like children. It seems we are more sensible than the three of you," he grumbled, his voice barely rising over the blender’s roar.
"You already cost me three million with that stunt you pulled in the morning," she chuckled, zooming in on Luo Muchen’s pout. "You should see how adorable you look while pouting."
Luo Muchen turned off the blender before saying, "You’re being unreasonable."
"Unreasonable?" Luo Shih’s laughter filled the room. "I’m teaching you a lesson. Besides, I think Lin Lin will appreciate it. His in-laws won’t be broke by the time he passes through the threshold."
Luo Muchen poured out the smoothie into two tall glasses. "I will pay for it," he said while walking over to hand her one of them.
"You don’t know your future father-in-law well enough, do you? Don’t let that face fool you. You will be broke before the wedding day," she said and Luo Muchen scratched the back of his head looking sad.
"Fine. I will behave," he replied before walking back to clean up the dishes.
The video ended there. Luo Shih could only imagine Qie Xieling’s reaction when he saw this video.
Qie Xieling was speechless. Before he could come up with words to reply his future mother-in-law sent him another message.
ChenChen: When you miss him just watch this.
Qie Xieling, "..."
Luo Muchen was right. They were being so unreasonable. He politely replied before flaring his arms around and throwing a mini tantrum. The separation anxiety was unbearable. Good thing he was kept busy in the following days otherwise he would be incredibly depressed.

The sun was high in the clear sky, casting a warm glow over the manicured greens of the golf course. Luo Muchen, dressed in a crisp polo shirt and tailored pants, stood beside his mother trying to ignore Hei Xiwen who was flirting with her at every chance he got.
Who could blame Hei Xiwen? Luo Shih was wearing white skorts showing off her long slender legs and a tank top with a decent amount of cleavage. From afar, one could see country club members glancing in their direction. They all knew who the hell she was but weren’t brazen enough to walk over. Besides that would have to get past her son and his mafia boyfriend.
The looks from the men though weren’t as worrying as the glares from the wives. There was a rumour that she was a vixen that could snatch their husband’s souls. This rumour was made worse because she was an unmarried shark in a tank full of prey. Of course, it was all false. She wasn’t a homewrecker but that didn’t stop the rumors from spreading.
"Why did you even bring me here," complained Luo Muchen while glancing in the distance.
Hei Xiwen who was the acting caddie handed Luo Shih a club while replying, "I thought you like it. You can act like it’s your bachelor party."
Luo Muchen who didn’t want a bachelor party at all indeed found this relaxing but he didn’t sign up for all the stares. "Oh, don’t be a drag. Just relax and have fun. It will take your mind off things," she said as she focused on her swing. The rhythmic whoosh of her club slicing through the air was a soothing sound in the tranquil atmosphere.
Hei Xiwen didn’t hesitate to praise his sweetheart even rewarding her with a kiss. "You want me to teach you?" she asked and Hei Xiwen who had learnt it for the sake of getting to know her interests pretended to be a novice.
"Yes, please. I would love that," he said and Luo Shih stepped up behind him. She placed her arms around his waist. She could feel the heat of his body against hers, the rhythm of his breathing as they stood together.
Luo Muchen, "???"
He was clearly the third wheel here.
"Ma, seriously," he said and she waved him away.
"What, I am teaching him... Don’t mind him...," she said before leaning in and catching a whiff of shampoo in his hair.
"Is that my shampoo," she asked and Hei Xiwen who was about to explode from excitement replied,
"Yes. It smells nice. I couldn’t resist." Luo Shih didn’t seem to mind. She kissed his cheek and Luo Muchen almost gagged. He really didn’t know where to look at this point. Lucky for him his phone vibrated. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
While he was looking at his messages the pair of lovebirds swung the club together, their postures ambiguous. Luo Shih’s hands guided Hei Xiwen’s movements, correcting his form and helping him find the perfect angle to hit the ball.
When she finally came out of her trance she noticed her son was now distracted by his phone.
"What’s so important that it can’t wait? If it’s your distant uncle tell him that I am not sending a private jet for him. He is not going to get a free ride on me," she said, her voice tinged with annoyance. When her father died these distant relatives who had scorned her for being pregnant and unmarried tried to strong-arm her into taking over the company for her. In their words, ’Women can’t run shit... you will run the business to the ground,’ but Luo Shih put them in their place. Besides her grandmother had long severed ties with them when they criticised her for not remarrying and being too close to a woman.
Now they wanted to fly over for the wedding but at her expense. She hadn’t even invited them but they criticised her for it. After giving them invitations they turned around and asked for her private jet. Hell no, absolutely not.
Luo Muchen chuckled softly further arousing his mother’s interest. She walked over with the club over her shoulder. Hei Xiwen was curious too so he followed after his girlfriend. "It’s Lin Lin," he said, unable to suppress his smile. "He had the time of his life at his bachelor party."
Luo Shih peered over her son’s shoulder while asking, "You two broke the rule again?"
