Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 666: Snitching on himself
"If we went to the garden you wouldn’t be able to repay me for last night. I had to collect some of the debt," he said jokingly while placing a pair of jade chopsticks on top of the bento box.
Qie Xieling lay his head on his arm that was lying flat on the table and stared at Luo Muchen. "You are so rebellious. Are you going through your bad boy phase?" he asked and Luo Muchen grabbed Qie Xieling’s chair pulling him closer.
"What? You don’t like it. I thought you would be fond of the bad boy type," he said his eyes starry and brimming with affection.
Qie Xieling caressed Luo Muchen’s inner thigh his fingertips slowly etching towards the bulge outlined on the fabric of his lover’s pants.
"I love the bad boy version of you... and the honest gentlemanly scholar version of you. I love everything about you and I can’t wait to make you mine completely," he said his fingers moving closer to his target. His finger trailed up the hard member and as though acknowledging him it throbbed begging for more.
Luo Muchen’s ears turned bloody as his throat bobbed from thirst. Dang, he finally realised his mistake. Qie Xieling was right. He should have met up with him in the garden. Now he was paying the price.
To distract himself he opened the bento boxes and said, "Eat. I made this for you."
Qie Xieling couldn’t control his smile. Luo Muchen would surely make a good daughter-in-law. He felt like his boyfriend was like a doting wife bringing lunch to her husband and in turn, the husband would spoil her with luxury bags. Qie Xieling wanted to give him his bank card and tell him to go buy himself something pretty.
He ate happily his hand never leaving his man’s thigh. Luo Muchen couldn’t help himself. He kept staring at Qie Xieling as though etching every part of his handsome face in his memory. He wished time would fly by so he could finally take Qie Xieling home with him.
Qie Xieling noticed that tender yet piercing gaze so he swallowed before asking, "What’s wrong?"
"No nothing," replied Luo Muchen before turning his gaze away. He playfully poked the pork in his bento before asking,
"When are you going to try your wedding clothes?"
Qie Xieling’s interest was piqued. He unlocked the phone his uncle gave to him and opened the schedule his nana made.
"We don’t have a lot of time so everything is packed tightly. My first fitting will be tomorrow. I will also go shopping tomorrow. I need to buy a lot of things," he said with an air of mischief around him.
Luo Muchen didn’t know why he said it that way. He was just thinking that Qie Xieling was going to buy things for the dowry. "And the rings. Do you have any preferences?" Qie Xieling suddenly asked and Luo Muchen who had bought them ages ago froze.
"I... I already bought them and got them customised," he said and Qie Xieling was genuinely surprised. He saw the rumours on the blogs that day and even asked Luo Muchen but he didn’t give him an answer.
Qie Xieling just thought that there were exaggerated rumours but it turns out his bae had the rings already. "When did you get them?"
"When you bought my mum the bracelet," replied Luo Muchen as he tugged at the pendant on his neck. Apart from the yang symbol, there were now two rings.
The rings were a luxurious combination of two tones, predominantly gold with delicate silver detailing. Both rings featured intricate patterns that seemed to draw inspiration from motifs. One ring had diamonds on it glimmering under the light.
Qie Xieling’s thumb traced the rings as he placed them in the palm of his hands. He was quiet for a long time and Luo Muchen had no idea if he liked it.
After a long silence, he said, "If you don’t like it we have time to change it."
"No no no. I... I love them. They are beautiful," he said his heartbeat ringing in his ears. Of course, he loved it. It was just that it was truly sinking in that they would be husband and husband soon.
Luo Muchen heaved a sigh of relief. "Good... I am very familiar with your preferences-," he said but his lips were suddenly sealed. Qie Xieling kissed him fiercely his hand pressing down at the back of his neck preventing him from moving away. Luo Muchen was taken by surprise but the feeling was fleeting. Before he could be fully satiated Qie Xieling parted their lips. He took out his phone and took a picture of the wedding bands.
Luo Muchen arched his brows wondering what he was doing. He leaned in only to find that Qie Xieling was typing something with his tongue sticking out. He usually did that when he was up to some mischief. Their heads were almost pressed together as they stared at the screen. Qie Xieling was showing off to the world which rarely happened. Qie Xieling didn’t even post his car or home. The few times he ever showed off was when he was bragging about him.
"Tag me in it," said Luo Muchen his arm wrapping around his lover’s waist.
Qie Xieling rubbed Luo Muchen’s thigh his gaze still glued to the screen. "Of course, I will tag you. How will they know who I am talking about?... I should also brag about my lunch too like I did with the hangover soup."
Luo Muchen hadn’t been online all this time because he had been busy preparing food for them. He had no idea his man was busy shoving dog food down people’s throats and abusing single dogs.

Qie Ranzhe was in a meeting when he felt a vibration in his pocket. Normally he wouldn’t bring his phone to these meetings but his husband had been sending pictures of things for the dowry throughout the day so he had been constantly checking his phone.
Thinking it was Wen Qinxi again he didn’t hesitate to unlock his phone but lo and behold, it was his son snitching on himself.
First, it was the hangover soup then now it was a pair of rings and lunch. He hadn’t even eaten yet and hoped they would go to lunch together but of course, the one surnamed Luo ruined it for him.
Qie Ranzhe was just thinking of ways to get back at his future son-in-law when he caught a glimpse of two thighs at the top corner of the picture. One was wearing the same jeans Qie Xieling had been wearing in the morning but the other was black.
Qie Ranzhe smiled evily making the subordinates watching him shiver in fright. He went straight to the head of the Luo family.
RanXiXi: Your son broke the rules. As agreed you owe me a painting.
Luo Shih who was buried in the betrothal gifts paperwork picked up her phone and swore, "Shit." It was hard enough to have Qie Ranzhe agree to marry Qie Xieling into their family thus she agreed to unreasonable demands. One of which was the two-week thing. The penalty for her son not staying away was her valuables starting with her expensive landscape painting.
QueenMother: Luo Muchen you brat!
After sending the message she didn’t feel any better. It was decided. Her son was rebelling.
