Chapter 577: "Do you regret it? "

He drew closer, inhaling deeply as he recognised the lingering scent of beer and chicken from earlier. It was mixed with something else, which was the fruity aroma of peaches that seemed emanating from Qie Xieling’s very skin. The combination was intoxicating, further fuelling the fire within Luo Muchen that threatened to consume him entirely.

"Then I will," he whispered his gaze tracing Qie Xieling’s features from his eyebrows to his eyes, from his nose to his lips.

Their lips touched once more the kiss soft but urgent. The night air was cool against their skin, but the heat between them was enough to warm them both from head to toe.

Luo Muchen reached out to place his hand on Qie Xieling’s waist, the touch gentle yet firm. Qie Xieling reached out to touch the other man’s cheek, his fingers lingering over the soft skin. Their bodies pressed close together, every inch of their exposed skin touching one another.

Their tongues danced together, exploring each other’s mouths with a deep hunger. As their lips finally parted, Luo Muchen found himself leaning his forehead against Qie Xieling’s chest, panting lightly from the intensity of their kiss. The magnitude of what had just happened threatened to overwhelm him, leaving him struggling to wrap his mind around the fact that he had actually kissed the person he had been in love with for years.

His eyes fluttered shut, and for a moment, everything else seemed to fade away. All he could focus on was the steady beat of their combined heartbeats beneath the surface of Qie Xieling’s skin, the warmth of the other man’s body pressed against his own, and the lingering scent that continued to haunt his senses. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Luo Muchen and Qie Xieling stroked Luo Muchen’s soft hair while answering,

"Not here. Can we talk somewhere else?"

Luo Muchen raised his head to look at him. Qie Xieling thought that Luo Muchen wanted to take a step back so they could leave but Luo Muchen ended up hugging him so tight that he could barely breathe.

"Are you trying to kill me," he whispered his voice hoarse. Luo Muchen loosened his grip but he was still holding him unwilling to let go. He beckoned over one of the bodyguards and handed them the car key.

He turned to Qie Xieling and said, "Let’s go."

Qie Xieling didn’t ask where they were going. He just let Luo Muchen drag him along by his hand into the car.

He opened the door for him and Qie Xieling got in feeling a little anxious. He had just agreed to go who knows where with Luo Muchen and there was no guarantee that he would be able to restrain himself tonight.

Luo Muchen couldn’t see the danger in this. He was just excited that Qie Xieling agreed to go with him.

Inside the car, Qie Xieling found himself sitting close to Luo Muchen with their shoulders and knees brushing against each other. The entire ride Luo Muchen was sticking so close to him like candy. There was ample space in the back seat but he was sitting so close to him and Qie Xieling wasn’t complaining. He just found it rather amusing.

Without a word, Luo Muchen reached out to entwine their fingers, his thumb playfully rubbing against Qie Xieling’s skin. He tried to maintain his composure but he was visibly nervous.

His palms were sweaty, his heart racing and he couldn’t stop staring at Qie Xieling. He was smiling a lot and blushing. He looked like a bride excited for her wedding day.

The car stopped in front of a very familiar building. This time Luo Muchen directly led him to the elevator and used his fingerprint before pressing the top floor. The entire time he was still holding Qie Xieling’s hand. When the elevator doors closed, Luo Muchen placed his arm around Qie Xieling’s waist pulling him close while his other hand held Qie Xieling’s hand.

Qie Xieling was a little surprised by his enthusiasm. He was holding him the same way he did in the game when their love blossomed. Seeing his expression, Luo Muchen couldn’t help but clear his throat before asking, "Do you regret it?"

Qie Xieling was a little taken aback by his question. Regret what? He regretted nothing. Well, actually he had one regret.

"No... I don’t regret it. I just regret not doing this sooner." Luo Muchen stared at him with an intense burning gaze. The air inside the elevator was thick with anticipation, charged by the electricity that flowed between them.

The tension between them only broke with the ding of the elevator. Luo Muchen bit his lower lip lightly before leading the way into the hotel suite. The lights turned on when they stepped out of the elevator and Luo Muchen gave him slippers to change into and Qie Xieling took them. They sat down and changed their shoes. Because Qie Xieling had tied his laces a little too tight it took him a while. His fingers fumbled awkwardly trying to loosen them.

A pair of slender hands reached for his shoelaces and he began to loosen them for him. Qie Xieling was a little surprised. He wanted to tell him it was fine but Luo Muchen held his foot and said, "Stay still. It will only take a second." He was kneeling in front of him. His eyes met his briefly before he focused on his shoelaces, his long slender fingers deftly pinching the laces.

Qie Xieling’s Adam’s apple rolled staring at him with complicated emotions. His heart raced as he watched him. The gentle touch of his fingers sent a jolt of electricity through him, making him acutely aware of his presence.

With a final tug, Luo Muchen loosened the laces, looking up at Qie Xieling with a smile that made his heart skip a beat. "There you go," he said softly, his eyes sparkling.

Luo Muchen had helped him before in primary school with his shoes but that time he was more focused on being pissed off because Luo Muchen was making him feel like an old lady. After refusing his help, Qie Xieling tripped over his shoes and if Luo Muchen hadn’t caught him he might have lost a tooth.
