Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 162: Big sister J
While eating, Qie Xieling raised his head and found a young man about his age sitting opposite him. Like him, he had long hair and was dressed flashy like he had robbed an emperor and stolen their robes.
He stopped eating and asked, "Are you also from a cult? I am not interested."
The young man stretched out his hand while saying, "You are still so messy when you eat, just like when you were a toddler."
Qie Xieling, "..."
Because he was too stunned to speak, he didn’t react fast enough as the young man touched his face removing a grain of rice.
"Who the fu... argh, fuck," yelled Qie Xieling after his foot was stomped on underneath the table.
"Your father said if i hear you swearing, I should stomp your foot," said the young man, and Qie Xieling suddenly had an inkling.
"Jolie?" he exclaimed, and she covered his lips, saying,
"Shh shh shh. Do you know how hard I had to work to hide from you know who? I had to wait for this character to die and take its place. It’s hard to find a character with the name Jolie by the way."
Qie Xieling, "..."
He leaned forward and whispered, "So you took that character’s place? When?"
Jolie didn’t want to go through all the details, so she stood up and sat next to him before draping her arm around Qie Xieling’s shoulders.
"So, have you won his heart yet? Or have you two....," she asked, seeming a little too excited, even more, excited than he was.
"What are you talking about? I should be asking you how Mittens reacted when you left. He must be so heartbroken," he said, trying to change the subject.
Jolie’s brows furrowed before pulling him close and looking into his eyes, "You dirty dog. You are deflecting. You can tell me, and I won’t tattle. I am like your sister. You can tell me anything,"
Qie Xieling glanced down at the big man sitting next to him calling himself sister with a scrutinising gaze.
Jolie brushed her hair back and said, "What? I am transitioning soon, okay? I just need a spell to change me permanently."
Qie Xieling pushed Jolie away, but internally he was so happy. At least Jolie would give him a sense of security. While he was appreciating the fact that Jolie was here with him, his bowl was robbed. "Mmm, this is so good. Wow... your dad needs to take notes so he can improve the food in the game."
Qie Xieling, "..."
"If you wanted your own plate, you could have just told me. I will gladly buy you one," he said.
"So you are just going to ignore the elephant in the room? Just answer me, did you or did you not sleep with Mu Mu," he said, and Qie Xieling’s eyes widened. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"No, I did not? Why would you even ask that... and give me back my food," he said, and Jolie, who was willing to go to war rather than give away the food, held on to it.
"What’s your problem? You should learn to share. Sharing is caring," she said, and like a big sister bullying her younger brother for the fun of it, she put him in a chokehold while asking,
"So you aren’t going to share? Huh?"
Qie Xieling, "..."
"Fine, fine, fine. Geez, just let me go," he replied, but Jolie didn’t let him go. She pinched Qie Xieling’s cheek several times before a tiny dragon appeared out of nowhere, staring at her.
"What is that, and why is it staring?" she asked, and Qie Xieling glanced at the little dragon as Jolie loosened her grip.
"That’s Mu... I mean King Luo. He is a small dragon," he said while fixing his collar.
"Oh wow. No wonder you didn’t get laid yet. He looks like an iguana," said Jolie stretching out her hand to poke the little thing.
Before King Luo could get away, Qie Xieling slapped her hand and said, "Don’t touch."
"Okay, okay... I won’t touch your man," she whispered, and Qie Xieling almost buried his head in embarrassment.
"Who is this?" asked Boran as he placed several bowls filled with buns and porridge on the table.
Jolie jumped to the chance and introduced herself, "Oh, I am Eling’s long-time admirer. He has been in my heart ever since I met him, but he has never liked me. It’s really heartbreaking. I had to pursue him all the way here and profess my love... again," she said, and Qie Xieling interrupted her.
"I thought you said we are sibli-, ugh," he whispered, only for his foot to get stomped on it.
"Shh, I am trying to help you," she whispered before smiling at the two.
Boran, "..."
King Luo wasn’t impressed at all. Judging from his expression, he looked like he was about to burn down the entire restaurant. He hadn’t slept all night thinking about what happened last night. Yet here he was, happily fraternising with another man. What upset him even more, was the fact that this person wasn’t even the Mu Mu he was crying for last night.
He couldn’t help but wonder if he was just a part of Eling’s harem or something. He just got used to satisfy his needs yesterday and got thrown out the very next day like trash.
Qie Xieling was about to ask King Luo what was wrong with him when the dragon flew up and left. Just like that, King Luo was gone without a word, not that he could speak.
"What’s his problem?" asked Qie Xieling, and Boran, who was buried in his food, shrugged his shoulders.
"Maybe it’s because you got his fiancé drugged, yet yesterday you weren’t concerned about that. You were rather busy having a rendezvous," he said, and Qie Xieling’s brows creased.
What rendezvous? Jolie didn’t let him go. She couldn’t help but ask, "Did you get down and dirty last night?"
"No," exclaimed Qie Xieling, but Jolie didn’t believe him. He just couldn’t help but wonder where Boran got that idea.
