“Lorelie, can you start recommending that I join, please?” Tephe asked hopefully as she looked at Lorelie.

“Let’s discuss this in private later, Tephe, away from Adam,” Lorelie replied while giving her an awkward smile.

“Why?” Tephe asked curiously as she tilted her head.

“Because there are things he doesn’t know that I need to tell you,” Lorelie replied.

“There are?” Tephe asked.

“Such as?” Adam asked.

Before Lorelie could reply, Rowena took the opportunity to pass Aphrodite and approach the table since she wasn’t currently paying her attention.

“Hey!” Aphrodite stated as she noticed Rowena’s actions before saying, “We aren’t done talking.”

“Yes, we are, as I want some breakfast,” Rowena replied as she sat down next to Adam while smiling at him.

Adam poured her a glass of the juice he knew she liked before placing it in front of her.

“My, what a gentleman,” Rowena said happily before taking a small mouthful of the juice, after which she placed the glass down and said, “Thank you, darling.”

“You’re welcome,” Adam replied with a smile of his own before returning to his breakfast.

“Well, I think we can assume everything went well with you two last night,” Lorelie said happily.

“Do you even need to ask? She was taking it in the ass for hours,” Aphrodite remarked with jealousy as she slumped down in one of the empty chairs.

“It’s not a good habit to spy on those performing intercourse,” Stacey stated without looking up from her breakfast.

“It’s not a good habit to spy on people, period,” Adam stated while glancing at Aphrodite, who scratched her cheek in embarrassment.

“That’s something you’re going to have to break the habit of if you want to join. Not everyone of Adam’s lovers will enjoy being spied upon,” Rowena remarked.

“Some will no doubt be like Rowena, who prefers activities alone with Adam but also doesn’t like being watched,” Lorelie added.

“Ok, ok, I get it. I’ll try not to do it from now on. I was just curious as to why she slept in the master bedroom while you two slept in hers.”

“You spied on us as well?” Stacey asked while looking up with a slight frown.

“No, but now that I know the two of you were being intimate, maybe I should have done,” Aphrodite replied while wearing a cheeky smirk.

“Didn’t you literally just say you would stop?” Adam asked.

“That doesn’t count, it was before I said that,” Aphrodite retorted defensively.

“Mind if we change the subject? I have stuff to inform you all about,” Rowena asked.

“Is this about your call with Erkath and Kasumi last night?” Adam asked.

“You called them in the middle of your activities?” Aphrodite asked in surprise before smirking at Rowena and saying, “Damn Rowena, if I knew you liked to be watched, I would have invited you to join one of my movies.”

“Stop talking nonsense,” Rowena replied before adding, “Adam was asleep when I called them.”

“Asleep? Are you that bad that you put him to sleep?” Aphrodite asked.

“Considering how unladylike you can be, people would never believe you’re over two thousand years old,” Rowena retorted.

“Where’s the fun in being ladylike with friends?” Aphrodite asked while rolling her eyes.

“She makes porn movies, I’m pretty sure that’s the most unladylike thing in existence,” Adam remarked.

“If you want, ladylike, go see Astarte,” Aphrodite retorted with a pout.

“Who?” Adam asked curiously, while all the other women at the table, except Rowena, also wore curious looks.

“Astarte,” Aphrodite repeated before explaining. “She’s a Succuba like me, but because of an incredibly rare condition she has, she’s incapable of having sex.”

“But I thought Succuba were required to engage in sex in order to live indefinitely, like how Brood need blood?” Adam asked.

“For the most part, you're correct. However, Astarte is the sole exception to that rule. She is somehow a long-lived even though she will apparently die should she ever have sex,” Aphrodite explained.

“Death from sex? I suppose there are worse ways to go,” Stacey stated while giving Adam a flirtatious look, biting her lower lip.

“How exactly does someone die from sex? I mean, apart from the obvious heart attack?” Adam asked.

“No one is entirely sure since we have never seen Astarte’s condition before, and obviously, we can’t exactly test it out to see how it works.”

“Then how do you know she will die from it?” Lorelie asked curiously.

“A prophecy she received from Oracle Andromeda just prior to her entering puberty, when we succuba are required to start having sex in order to survive,” Aphrodite replied.

“Do you know what this prophecy entails?” Lorelie asked curiously.

“No. The only ones who know that are Astarte herself and Oracle Andromeda.”

“You sound like you’re rather familiar with her,” Adam remarked.

“Every succuba knows of her unique situation, but yes, we are… business acquaintances,” Aphrodite replied after thinking of the most appropriate term.

“Business acquaintances? But you said…. “Adam began, only for Aphrodite to cut him off.

“Just because she can’t have sex doesn’t mean she can’t work in the adult entertainment industry. In fact, she is the contact at Universal Pleasure that I mentioned previously and sent the toys to.”

“A succuba that is incapable of having sex works for the biggest and most famous adult entertainment company in the universe?” Stacey asked in disbelief.

“What is the opposite of love?” Rowena, who had been quiet this time, suddenly asked her granddaughter.

“Indifference, Rowena corrected her before continuing, “The true opposite of love is indifference, and that is something Astarte has in spades.

Succuba are known as lustful creatures who love sex, whereas Astarte is entirely indifferent to almost everyone. She rarely shows concern, interest or sympathy for anyone. In essence, she is the complete opposite of our pink-haired bimbo here.”

“Hey!” Aphrodite retorted in offence.

“Then why does she work at Universal Pleasure?” Lorelie asked.

“What better person to employ as your second in command than someone who can’t be seduced by the workforce or clientele,” Aphrodite commented before continuing. “Astarte was specifically selected by the owner of Universal Pleasure because of her indifference to almost anyone. This makes it almost impossible to bribe or charm her.”

“So she’s the one who will decide if they want to purchase the toys in bulk?” Adam asked.

Adam nodded in understanding before looking at Rowena again, who smiled at him and took this chance to talk about her call last night.

“So, as I said before, I had a call with Kasumi regarding her leaving Dynamic Entertainment and joining Spector Entertainment, as well as Erkath, who updated me on the progress of Earth fashion,” Rowena began before she told them everything the three women had discussed last night.

“They’re both going to join us on Aqua Primus?” Lorelie asked in surprise after Rowena finished, before turning to Adam with a smirk and saying, “Guess someone can look forward to some eye-candy.”

“That’s definitely going to be one sexy line-up,” Aphrodite remarked with a smile.

“Look but don’t touch, remember,” Stacey warned with a smirk.

“I know, I know,” Aphrodite replied while sighing.

“It’s good that you managed to work out a deal with Kasumi so that she agreed to terminate her contract,” Lorelie stated in a serious tone before adding, “Let me know how much her termination fee is so that I can send you half.”

“You don’t need to do that,” Rowena replied dismissively.

“We both know that even with your accumulated wealth, paying off Kasumi’s termination fee will put a dent in your bank account,” Lorelie stated seriously before adding, “Let me help you with this since my new songs are making me ridiculous sums of credits each day. All I want in exchange is one of the favours she owes you.”

“What could you possibly ask for a favour from Kasumi?” Rowena asked curiously.

“What could you?” Lorelie replied while smirking.

Rowena thought for a moment before nodding and saying, “Fair enough. I will let you know how much and also inform Kasumi about our arrangement.”

“Are termination costs that expensive?” Adam asked curiously.

“It varies by celebrity,” Rowena replied before continuing. “Obviously, the more famous and successful you are, the more expensive it is, with divas being the most expensive. This is because the entertainment company works harder and gives more perks the more famous you are, and they don’t want to risk you leaving them after you’ve got everything you want out of them.

Now, Kasumi’s termination fee wouldn’t normally be so extreme since she’s not a diva, even if she is still popular. The issue lies with the fact that I helped her join the company. The previous owner did me a favour by agreeing to provide Kasumi more support than one of her popularity would normally receive. The catch was that her termination fee was raised to reflect that.

At the time, we didn’t think much of it since we weren’t expecting Dynamic Entertainment to fall into the state it has. Because of this, in the time that the old owner was still alive, she grew in popularity far more rapidly than one of her rank would have just after signing.”
