Ruler's Awakening: Inheritor of the SSS-Rank Dimensional Talent-Chapter 313: Nostalgia
Aaron continued to walk away from the center of the labyrinth to arrive outside.
Some people only paid attention to him, also distancing themselves from him. They realized that Aaron's strength far exceeded their abilities.
Arriving outside the Earth Core Pillar, Aaron was immediately confronted by several staff members from the city guild.
They surrounded Aaron, about to take him away for investigation.
"One of our members saw you kill the mages there. That was a barbaric and inhumane act!" said a man, walking ahead of the other staff.
Through Aaron's eyes, he saw the fluctuation of the magic aura that the man in front of him produced was no more than that of an Advanced Mage.
Only he was the one with the highest mage tier compared to the other guild staff.
"They attacked me and I just defended myself. Their deaths were the result of their weakness," explained Aaron.
"That's not justified! Crime is still a crime!" the man said firmly.
"Now, you have to come with us to the guild office!" he continued, pointing ahead towards Aaron.
"You can take me if you can touch me," said Aaron.
Aaron's challenge prompted the man to order other staff members to attack Aaron. They attacked with all their might, trying to defeat Aaron on command.
Aaron did not turn to attack. Instead, he focused on defending himself and avoiding their every attack.
His swift movements made it difficult for the city's guild staff to keep up with Aaron's speed.
"He's so fast, my eyes can't even follow his body movements," replied the other guild staff.
About fifteen minutes into their attack, they began to show signs of despair. They were also exhausted from running out of MP, and none of their attacks had managed to hit Aaron.
"Who are you exactly?" the man asked, curious.
"I am the one you can't beat. That's the most important thing."
Aaron stepped forward. In an instant, he arrived next to the man in a flash of purple light. His high speed panicked the man next to Aaron.
"Close this case and never look for me. I don't want to mess with you guys. Do you understand?" Aaron whispered.
Cold sweat poured down the man's head, he then nodded and agreed. The man was fully aware that he would never be able to defeat him.
"That's good."
SWIFT!
Aaron flew quickly leaving the Earth Core Pillar area to arrive in the nearest city. The man looked back, then wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"What are we going to do? We can't just leave it at that," replied another staff member.
"Go to the headquarters in London and tell them about that guy," replied the man, the city guild staff nodded in agreement.
From where Aaron was, he could see the first city on the first floor of Earth Core. The city was already much more developed than before, tall buildings were being constructed as the city's population increased significantly.
Aaron flew low and landed just before entering the city. He stepped in and turned, there was someone he had to meet to find out about his other friends.
Aaron's steps stopped in front of the equipment shop owned by Aura, Jackson and Elise's friend. The place was filled with mages intending to buy equipment before joining the raid.
Realizing that Aaron's suit was too flashy, he changed into his favorite shirt and trousers.
He also hid the title and ornaments of magical majesty, acting normally among the mages and other townspeople.
"Please come again," said a man who was minding the shop.
Aaron stepped inside and stood in front of the cash register, meeting a man who looked older than him. The man smiled and greeted Aaron as he did to other customers.
"How can I help you?" the man asked.
"I want to meet Aura."
When he heard his wife's name, the man immediately narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"What do you need with my wife?" the man asked.
"Oh, she's married, I see."
"There's something I need to ask her. It's important," said Aaron.
"What's wrong, Niel?" asked a woman who entered the shop from the back door, the woman appeared to be holding a baby in her arms.
Niel turned and said that someone was looking for Aura. Aura looked ahead, watching Aaron.
"What's wrong?" asked Aura, not really knowing Aaron.
"Do Jackson and Elise always come here?" Aaron asked.
"What is your relationship with them?" Aura asked.
"Just friends."
Aura was silent for a moment, then explained their condition to Aaron. In short, Jackson, Elise, and Natasha had their different focuses.
Jackson worked as head instructor at the London magic academy, while Elise was married and no longer participated in monster raids.
Natasha had joined the elite unit Integrity Knight Union. She joined Euronion, the highest achievement among Jackson and Elise.
"Has he become an Integrity Knight?" Aaron asked, confirming.
"No. As far as I remember, he worked as an aide to the 32nd Integrity Knight," Aura replied.
"Is that so? 12 years have passed and there have been many changes in their lives," said Aaron.
Aaron asked again about Jackson and Elise's house. Aura didn't know about their house, but Jackson was clearly working as Head Instructor at the London Academy of Magic.
This forced Aaron to go to the Academy of Magic to see Jackson. After getting the information he needed, Aaron said goodbye.
Aura did not ask any further questions because of Aaron's mysterious attitude. Aaron stepped into the city center and arrived at the portal of two places. With that portal, he could arrive in London quickly.
The transportation cost between portals was 5000 RL. It was easy for Aaron to spend that little money.
The portal opened, several mages stepped in and completely arrived outside the Earth Core. Upon arrival, he saw for sure a crowd of mages wanting to enter the Earth Core.
They were scattered after arriving in London City. Aaron's goal was to visit the London Academy of Magic, to meet one of his friends and to reminisce about the place where he used to study and train.
"Wait!" the gatekeeper said, stopping Aaron.
"What business do you have coming here?" asked the guard.
Aaron explained his reason for arriving at the place, wanting to meet Jackson. However, the guards still didn't believe him.
The rules clearly stated that strangers other than the academy community were prohibited from entering.
Even if they wanted to enter, they had to attach written proof of an invitation from the academy. Aaron didn't have it, which made it difficult for him to enter.
"Can you please call him here? He will explain everything," said Aaron, not intending to create a fuss.
"I can't. If you want to meet him, you'll have to wait until—"
"What's going on?" asked a woman in a long shirt suit, typical of Academy teachers.
Aaron didn't know who she was, she must be a new teacher in the last 12 years. The guards explained the situation to the woman, and suddenly the woman began to focus her attention on Aaron.
"Rules are rules. You can't just walk in. This is not just any place," she explained.
"What if I told you that I was Aaron Lewis. Would you believe it?" asked Aaron.
They looked at each other, not knowing the name for sure.
"No."
