Rogue Villain-Chapter 282: Shit Lizard
Mazar, without returning to his draconic form, also gathered an incredible amount of mana in front of his mouth. Due to the darkness of Mazar’s mana, it created a pitch-black contrast to Trana’s bright Breath.
Finally, after what felt like an eternally long second, both Trana and Mazar released their holds on their power. Two beams of extraordinary force and mana burrowed through the air, extinguishing anything that came in their paths, including the air itself, before colliding with each other.
A soundless boom rang out across the valley, and Ackster’s ears grew numb with a faint droning sound remaining. The shockwave traveled and bounced across the mountain range as the two Breaths competed, powered by the respective dragon’s continued supply of mana.
But after a short while, Mazar snorted.
Mazar’s Breath took on a strange, foreign, intrusive, and wooden but corrupted atmosphere before doubling in strength.
Trana’s eyes flashed in alarm. She was already surprised that Mazar could compete with her without returning to his true form. But now he unleashed even more power.
Trana dug out more of her mana and, with a pulsating light, increased the strength of her Breath.
But Mazar’s expression was full of mockery as his Breath grew stronger and stronger, pushing back Trana’s with ease.
’No way...!’
Ackster looked at Mazar and his Breath. The dark green condensed mana was infected with an ominous air that had his entire skin crawling like it was filled with bugs.
’No. Fucking. Way!’
Without hesitating, Ackster retrieved Stormcaller from his Inventory and filled it with his mana. As the Dragon of Storm, Trana was bound to grow stronger inside a storm. The purification and destructive attributes of lightning should also help deal with Mazar.
After pumping Stormcaller full of mana, Ackster sent a lightning bolt toward the sky, inviting endless dark grey clouds to gather.
Both dragons noticed what Ackster was doing. Trana was a little surprised and relieved but also worried since she wouldn’t be able to defend Ackster from Mazar’s retribution.
"What an interesting treasure. But now, I can really test the limits of this gift I’ve been bestowed. Thank you."
Mazar smiled at Ackster with cold eyes.
"But...Interfering in a fight between dragons? How brave."
Mazar’s eyes narrowed as he flicked his wrist in Ackster’s direction.
At the same moment, Ackster felt like he was hit by a truck of solid lead. His vision was blotchy and jumping all over the place, and it felt like all of his bones were broken and stomped into the same paste as his muscles and organs.
"Huh?"
Mazar let out an involuntary sound of surprise as Ackster merely shook his head before continuing to glare in his direction.
"Oh, was that supposed to do something? It doesn’t even compare to how ill I feel when I look at you. Are you really a dragon? Your magic is weak as shit, fucking shit lizard."
Ackster spat on the ground before swinging Stormcaller and throwing a lightning bolt at Mazar. Unsurprisingly, the lightning bounced off his shield and fizzled out.
Mazar’s brow twitched. Clearly, Ackster wasn’t just any ordinary human.
Mazar glanced at Trana. Her gently flapping wings were generating currents of electricity that flowed from the tip of her tail along her spine to her head and mouth, where she was continuing to improve the power of her Breath.
Ackster noticed Trana was accumulating the power of the storm inside her, so he boosted the storm with another bolt from Stormcaller before sending a rain of lightning toward Trana. He wasn’t sure how much help it would be against Mazar. But it was all he could do short of distracting Mazar.
Green, grey, purple, blue, red, and black smoke poured out of Ackster’s orifices as his insides melted from Mazar’s stream of curses. But Ackster just chuckled. It stung, which impressed him since only training his Will beyond his limits hurt after Pain Tolerance reached SS rank.
But with Unstoppable and his stupid regeneration, Ackster didn’t need to fear curses of this level. He happily accepted them. Mazar was the greatest tool for training his Curse Resistance, which had been stuck at the first rank ever since he got the skill after his contact with the Alchemaze.
Curses took effect over time. While they were powerful enough to kill most humans instantly, and ackster would have died even with his stats if he didn’t have Unstoppable. But since they didn’t explode with all their force at once, they were perfect for training.
"Is that all you can do, fly fucker? I’ve eaten bread with more of a kick."
Ackster injected Stormcaller with a bunch of his mana before tossing it onto Trana’s back, where it acted as a lightning rod.
Trana gathered the lightning in the skies into her own body with a continuous stream that had her entire mountainous body aglow with blue light.
"If you aren’t going to fight properly and just keep teasing me with these jokes, I’m coming up there to kick your ass, motherfucker."
Mazar was so high up in the air that the two highest mountains could stand on top of each other without reaching Mazar’s toes. But Akcster had long since left the realm of humans and the constraints of mortality.
Ackster bent his legs and pushed.
Participating in an aerial battle without being able to fly or barely being able to control himself mid-air was dangerous. Ackster wouldn’t be able to dodge any hits whale jumping.
But that wasn’t something Ackster had worried about before. As long as his entire being wasn’t erased and turned to dust in one go, Ackster was confident he would live. He also didn’t have the leeway to worry about stuff like that.
If his hunch was right, he had to help Trana shut Mazar down as quickly as possible before it got too late.
Ackster pierced through the air, the shockwaves from the clash of Breaths ruffling his hair but unable to affect his ramrod-straight course. He crashed into Mazar’s shield with enough force to break his arm. But Mazar’s curses had weakened his insides until they were barely more than goop. His skeleton and skin were the only things holding on, and barely at that.
But that wasn’t a problem to Ackster.
He grinned while spitting out mouthfuls of chunky black blood in Mazar’s face. Unfortunately, the shield blocked it. Then, he activated Limit Breaker to the max.
