Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets-Chapter 75 - The Report from Robert
Chapter 75: Chapter 75: The Report from Robert
Chapter 75 -75: The Report from Robert
Jason dug in the pit a few more times but didn’t find anything else, so he hurriedly jumped out.
He also wanted to see what might be inside the iron bucket.
Seeing Sean not making a move, George continued to pry the iron bucket open with the crowbar.
Although whatever good stuff in the bucket belonged to him was only twenty percent, this kind of opportunity to open a treasure chest with his own hands was really rare!
After prying open the iron bucket lid and pouring out its contents, George’s eyes lit up when he saw the iron box inside:
“There must be something good inside this!”
Without seeking Sean’s opinion further, George was much more careful this time when prying the box open.
Jason, very tactful, stepped forward to support the bottom of the box, and together, the two of them managed to pry open the already rusted shut box.
Golden shining coins appeared!
“Wow! It’s really treasure!” Emily Taylor exclaimed.
Monica Brown also looked excited, but she held herself back.
Sean just smiled and didn’t pay attention to them.
George was the happiest. After being startled for a moment, he burst out laughing:
“I’ve finally seen the treasure! It’s like fulfilling a long-held desire!”
He quickly reined in the greed in his eyes, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to own all of these treasures.
“Come on, let’s count!” George stood up and said to Sean, “Most of it belongs to you. Sean, I have to say, you’re really great at treasure hunting!”
Sean didn’t hold back and stepped forward to spread out the gold coins, counting them with George.
“There are a total of 118 gold coins and 257 silver coins.” Sean separated the gold coins from the silver coins and said, “Mr. George, you can choose.”
“I have a twenty percent share so that should be…”
“You can have twenty-four gold coins and fifty-two silver coins.” Sean gave the answer.
“Okay, okay, thank you, young man.” George nodded and began to count the gold coins.
He had already checked, and all the gold and silver coins were of the same quality without any special editions, so he could just pick them at random.
This was quite a fortune!
Sean then put the remaining gold coins back into the iron box and carried it back to the pickup truck.
“There’s one more treasure site. According to the treasure map, there should be supplies inside.” Sean said to George, “Let’s dig it out as soon as possible.”
George waved his hand and said:
“No, no. Young man, I’ve already taken great advantage of you. Whatever else is dug out is all yours, and you can dispose of it as you please. Alright, I’m old, and it’s time for me to go rest.”
He wrapped the gold coins in his coat, carried the two old Winchesters, and left happily.
Old fox!
Sean knew that George probably thought the supplies weren’t very valuable and that having these gold coins would be enough for him to boast about for a while.
“Come on, Jason, let’s dig quickly and get it done before nightfall!”
Sean also said to Eiris Perez and Malawi Perez:
“You two, go fill in those two pits.”
Monica Brown and Emily Taylor were quite interested in following Sean and Jason to see the third pit.
Although they were tired, the two of them dug quickly. This time, Sean didn’t bother with any tricks and directly dug down to the iron bucket. The two of them soon brought the iron bucket up.
As they pried open the iron bucket, they saw the cans inside and the rotten food. The others showed disappointed expressions.
Sean, however, laughed and said:
“Don’t be disappointed. These cans have more than a hundred years of history. Put them on a second-hand website, and selling them for thousands of dollars shouldn’t be a problem!”
Jason’s eyes lit up, these things could be sold for that much?
He and Sean carried the cans back to the pickup truck together, and Sean took out three gold coins and three silver ones from the iron box, handing them to Monica Brown and saying:
“Miss Monica, thank you for helping me connect with this treasure hunt mission. These gold coins are your commission.”
Monica Brown was about to decline, when Emily Taylor took it and stuffed it into Monica’s hand, saying:
“Why be polite to him?”
Then she looked at Sean Knight.
Sean, however, acted as if he didn’t see her gaze, and said to the freshly finished Eiris and Malawi Perez:
“Boys, get in the car, let’s get ready to go home!”
Then he prepared to get into the car.
Emily Taylor grabbed him and asked discontentedly:
“Sean Knight, stop playing dumb. What about mine?”
Sean looked puzzled:
“Yours what?”
“My gold and silver coins?”
“Why should I give them to you? What did you do?” Sean countered, leaving Emily speechless.
“Alright, joking.” Sean took out a silver coin and handed it to Emily Taylor: “Here’s a souvenir for you.”
Then he turned around and left.
Those who have girlfriends shouldn’t get too close to other young women. Sean was a relatively traditional man.
Once in the car, he saw Monica comforting the displeased Emily and asked:
“Aren’t you guys leaving? It’s not safe when it gets dark!”
Monica Brown and Emily Taylor both knew the safety situation of the area, so Emily got over her pettiness, got into Monica’s Volkswagen Beetle, and followed Sean’s car out.
By the time they returned to the port, it was already completely dark.
Freya Perez had cooked dinner already, and Sean and the three Perez brothers smelled the rich fragrance as soon as they got out of the car.
Several young men were talking at the entrance, and Freya’s displeased voice could be heard.
“What do you want to do?” Jason Caldwell’s loud voice scared the young men, who immediately turned around and ran.
Malawi Perez and Eiris Perez, who had just gotten out of the car, picked up stone bricks and threw them at the young men, cursing while doing so.
Freya Perez came out, still looking a bit tense.
Sean apologized:
“I’m really sorry; it’s my fault for taking everyone away. Otherwise, this situation wouldn’t have happened.”

“Bosuns Evans, it has nothing to do with you.” Jason shook his head and said, “Living here, we are bound to encounter such situations…”
Sean thought for a moment and said:
“Jason, I think you should move out of here! You’re making a decent amount with me every day, and you’ll only make more in the future, unless something unexpected happens. Rent a courtyard nearby. At least it won’t be so chaotic, and there’ll be a guarantee of safety!”
Jason had been thinking about moving for a while, and today’s incident only made him more determined.
Sean took out 3000 dollars and handed it to him:
“This is your reward for today. Go rent a house tomorrow.”
A conservative estimate would show that today’s deal brought Sean around 100,000 dollars in profit. Giving 3,000 dollars to Jason and the others was neither too much nor too little.
After dinner, Sean took the items back to Aunt Susan’s house.
He carried the box of ancient coins into the bedroom, while the old Winchester stayed in the car. He planned to call Judy Morris tomorrow to see if she would buy it.
This deal was introduced by Monica Brown, so he’d skip involving Mr. John for this time.
Mr. John actually wanted Sean to deal with these merchants himself, but Sean still followed the rules, making sure Mr. John wouldn’t lose his commission.
Although a rough estimate showed that in the past month, Mr. John had made about 50,000 dollars in commission from Sean, Sean thought that compared to saving his life, it was nothing.
At this moment, the mobile phone rang.
Sean took it out and saw it was from Robert.
Sean immediately tensed up!
