Third Personβs POV
Instead, it seemed to have only grown worse for the other four.
This time, the remaining four were truly shaken. ππ£πππππππΌππ²πΉ.ππ π
A deep sense of fear and disbelief filled their hearts as they watched their strongest protector, the very person they had relied upon without question, being defeated and sealed so easily by the monstrous serpent before them.
The sheer difference in strength made their earlier confidence seem almost laughable.
The oppressive aura of the beast pressed down upon them once more as it advanced slowly, its massive body slithering forward with deliberate intent, its cold eyes locked onto them as if they were nothing more than helpless prey.
For the first time since entering this cavern, even Princess Arlene felt a true sense of danger closing in.
Her expression remained composed, but her fingers had already begun to move subtly, preparing to use her final resort, something she had not intended to reveal unless absolutely necessary.
However, just as she was about to act, the icy ground started trembling and cracking in front of them
Without any warning, a massive wall of ice surged upward from the frozen ground between the advancing serpent and the group of four, rising rapidly like a towering barrier forged by the will of the land itself.
The wall was enormous and was at least twenty metres tall and several metres thick.
Its surface was smooth and translucent, yet carried a density that radiated immense defensive strength.
The serpent did not slow down as it crashed into the wall with tremendous force, its massive head slamming against the icy barrier with a deafening impact that sent vibrations rippling through the cavern.
Yet, despite its strength, the wall did not break, but the serpent was not disheartened as it struck again and again.
But no matter how much force it applied, the transparent ice wall held firm, its surface only trembling slightly under the repeated impacts.
Behind the barrier, the group stood frozen in shock.
Their eyes widened as they instinctively began searching for the one who had intervened and saved them at such a critical moment.
However, what happened next left them even more stunned.
A sharp, keening sound pierced through the cavern, resembling the whistle of a blade slicing through the air.
In the very next instant, a massive ice spear that was nearly ten metres long shot through the air with incredible speed and precision, its sharp tip glinting faintly as it struck directly into the frozen sphere that imprisoned the armored knight.
The impact it caused was violent, and the spear pierced deep into the ice, causing cracks to spread rapidly across the surface of the sphere.
The fractures expanded outward in jagged lines, weakening the structure in an instant.
Inside, the knightβs eyes flashed as this was the opening he had needed to break free.
In the next moment, a powerful ice blue aura erupted from his body, its nature clearly different from ice elemental energy as it carried a totally different kind of essence that seemed not to belong to any element.
A loud explosion followed, and the remaining ice encasing him shattered into countless fragments, scattering in all directions as the knight broke free.
A sharp roar of fury burst from his throat as he immediately launched himself forward once more, his body cutting through the air as he charged toward the serpent again with renewed force.
This time, the serpent reacted more aggressively as it turned back to the annoying pest it had defeated moments before, now that it was not able to reach the group hidden behind the nasty ice wall obstructing it.
Its massive tail swung with terrifying speed, coated in a thick layer of hardened ice armor as it whipped toward the knight with the intent to crush him.
However, the armored man twisted his body midair with practiced precision, narrowly avoiding the incoming strike as the tail passed just inches away from him.
Using that momentum, he spun in the air with his weapon and brought down his mace with full force.
The spiked head of the weapon slammed directly into the serpentβs head.
The resulting impact was brutal.
The snakeβs ice blue blood splashed outward as several of its shiny scales shattered, and fragments of flesh tore away under the force of the strike.
The serpent let out a painful hiss as its massive body recoiled violently, thrashing in rage.
Its enormous form collided with the surrounding icy pillars, shattering several of them into pieces as chunks of ice and frost scattered across the cavern floor.
A thick cloud of icy dust rose into the air, obscuring the battlefield and turning the area into a chaotic storm of frost and debris.
It was at that very moment that a new presence appeared.
High above the cavern, a figure manifested silently in the air.
It was a beautiful, blue-haired woman.
She appeared to be in her late twenties, yet her features carried a mature charm that only enhanced her allure.
Her long, blue hair flowed behind her like a soft wave, matching the same cloudy blue hue seen in Princess Arleneβs eyes, though hers carried a deeper, more captivating depth.
Her lips were full and naturally red, her eyes slightly narrow and sultry, holding a teasing glint that made her gaze both inviting and dangerous at the same time.
She wore a luxurious dark blue gown adorned with delicate ice blue jewels that shimmered faintly under the cavernβs dim light.
The fabric clung subtly to her figure, slightly outlining her generous curves without being overtly revealing, and leaving too much to imagination.
Her voluptuous chest rose and fell gently beneath the gown, her waist slender and elegant, while her hips curved smoothly, giving her a presence that was both graceful and undeniably seductive.
She raised one of her soft, white hands and covered her lips lightly as she let out a soft, amused laugh.
"I really donβt understand," she said lazily, her voice smooth and teasing.
"Why, my dear brother, places so much trust in these aura masters..."
