Rise Of The Hoarder-Chapter 283 DO NOT READ
Lily could only see the legs of the one who moved closer to her thanks to the state she was currently in.
Her head was flat on the ground, helplessly transfixed on a single location.
Judging by the tight pants that clung to the intruder’s legs, and his well-furnished boots, this person was human.
“Don’t push yourself…” A voice suddenly sounded, making the girl suddenly feel at ease, instead of fear.
“You should rest…”
Lily’s eyes felt heavier than expected, and she slowly began giving in to the allure of sleep that had gotten stronger.
If the girl didn’t know any better, she would think the voice—at least the owner—was actually the one inducing this.
Her consciousness faded, and Lily melted away into her sleep.
Seeing that the girl was already unconscious, the mysterious figure knelt before her and carried the unmoving figure.
Met with no resistance, the figure—like that of an adult man—took Lily’s smaller body on his shoulder and began setting off.
His dark cloak swung in response to the wind’s howl as he moved… destination unknown!

A sigh escaped my lips as they curled in disappointment.
Currently taking shelter in a building—one of many abandoned structures around—I bathed in the loneliness and solitude that enveloped me.
Perhaps this was the definition of depression. A lot of thoughts swirled around in my mind, and while I realized there was a lot to be done, I couldn’t bring myself to make much of a move.
“What now?”
I knew it was best to strike the metal while it was hot. 𝙛𝘳𝘦e𝓌e𝗯n𝗼ѵ𝙚l.𝒄𝚘𝑚
Having lost most of my equipment, it ssd imperative I replaced them as fast as possible. To do that, I needed some Grade 2 Demons for drops.
‘Sigh, it’s at times like this that I wish Paul was here…’
It was a little too late to regret my rash decision at the time. Plus, since his death had brought so many advantages to me, I couldn’t very well complain about it.
I should at least be satisfied with my new [Subspace] Skills.
… Even though my (G) Factor had reduced once again.
‘Its almost empty now…’ I thought.
With this, I was certain that death was inevitable in my encounter with the Angel. If it hadn’t been for the (G) Points sacrificed for some reasons, perhaps I would have been killed.
If that was the case, then it also meant that I practically had one more lifeline.
‘I don’t know what will happen if the number hits zero…’
It could mean automatic death, it that I no longer had luck when it came to survival. Either way, I had to avoid that outcome no matter what.
‘That means I have to pay low for a while…’
My trembling hands griped each other tightly as I felt a chill of fear and anxiety.
The trauma of battling that Angel had not left me, even after a few days passed.
I was holed up in this building most likely as a result of that remnant fear. No, thinking rationally, there were other reasons.
For one, I didn’t have any idea where the other Bosses were.
I was fortunate that three appeared near my vicinity, but what about the other two? Wasting energy and effort was foolish, so conserving energy and trying to gather my thoughts were probably the best I could do at the moment.
‘… No, those are all just excuses…’
Ultimately, I was just unwilling to go further. It could have been as a result of the grief I was suppressing. It could have been as a result of my fear.
At this point, I was just paralyzed.
“How pathetic… Jeremy Lewis.” I scoffed at my pathetic state.
How much longer would this last?
>PING<
>PING<
>PING<
>BRIIINNNNNNGGGGG<
A sharp ringing wound roused me from my half-conscious state, causing me to fully regain control over myself.

<Congratulations! You Have Survived The Tutorial Scenario>
My eyes nearly popped out of my sockets. Only one thought rang in my brain.
‘Already?!’
Even though it was night, and the area was fairly dark, I suddenly noticed that the surrounding was full of light.
Not just indoor,ls, where I was, but this bright radiation emanated from outside.
I stood sharply and headed for a window to see what caused such glorious illumination.
It was the appearance of multiple ‘System Windows’.
They were giant, and so many they filled the night sky. The golden brilliance of each of them glimmered like the sun, so light filled everywhere.
The panels all said the same thing.

I widened my eyes in awe and shock.
‘To think it’s over already…’
Suddenly, many pings began pooping into my head, full of System Updates.

I smiled as the lost went on and on.
Even though this was the start of a nightmare… why did I feel so pleased?
Perhaps it was because this was time to collect the rewards for my hard labor.
