Rise Of The Hoarder-Chapter 218 Overgeared (Pt 2)
“<Summon>”
The three spears appeared, though the one that was still haywire got launched to the earth and shattered it. I remembered I had collected it when it was still in motion.
“Whew…” I heaved a sigh, remembering the frightening speed I had to endure.
The Throne also appeared majestically beside my pile of treasures. Looking at it now, it wasn’t exactly as good as the others I had seen, as expected of the primitive Hobgoblin race. Hopefully, it had some nice features.
My eyes focused on the new items I summoned to check their information.

The Javelins were plenty impressive, but I was more astonished by the Hobgoblin King’s Throne.
It was so unreal that I felt like crying. If I chose to sit on the wooden thing, I would gain access to so much power. Sure, I wouldn’t be able to get up and fight normally, but who cared about that in the first place?
For one, I preferred not to exert myself too much. If I could deal more damage just by seating down, who was I to refuse?
“No wonder that guy didn’t stand no matter what! Haha, so it had such a broken item like this!”

[!!!]
The window popped all over my line of vision, like ads that refused to disappear whenever I visited some of those morally questionable sites.
Ah, the frustration I felt.
But, it was understandable this time since I was the one who messed with the System. I could have chosen to use the time to learn additional Skills by using the Demon Cores obtained from the Hobgoblin Champions from earlier… but I only had 3 Skill Slots left.
There was a high probability that I would get more after this fight, but I couldn’t be certain. It was only wise to save the three slots until I really needed to get a new Skill.
Currently, there was no real need to get one. With my current Stats and my equipment… this would be a cinch.
“I think I’ll save the Boss for the last. Let’s have the Chiefs come at me first… one after the other.”
With these words, I returned all my gear to [Subspace], except the Hobgoblin Chief’s Attire I wore, the Hobgoblin Chief’s Staff I gripped, and the Hobgoblin King’s Throne which I jumped on to get a seat.
With all preparations made, I chose my first opponent while trying to make myself comfortable.
It was a funny sight, really. A Gifted, seating on a gigantic Throne… to fight a Demon. It almost made it seem like my role had been reversed.
“<Summon>”
A confused Hobgoblin Chief appeared, facing another direction.
“Guruiik?!”
With its naked back turned to me, the beast was extremely vulnerable to my attack. And so, making use of my already-superior Agility and Intelligence, coupled with the ×2 multiplier on all Stats, as well as the other item effects I had, one could say I was not even going to try.
In a flash, I summoned a fleet of weapons and aimed at the Hobgoblin Chief. From Battle Ax, to Great Sword, to Daggers, to Blade, all weapons were coated in their respective ominous energy that I activated.
“Fall…”
>WHOOOOOOOSHHHH!!!<
The weapons pierced the target, sending blood spurting out of it instantly. Having so many Grade 2 items puncture its Skin directly… there was really no hope for it surviving.
The monster died.

“Three uh? The last one gave me five… must be because I need more EXP to Level Up now since I’ve gained even more Levels after killing some Hobgoblin Champions….”
I had to admit that these Chiefs were even stronger than the last one. It was just unfortunate that they were stripped of everything.
Plus, since I was attacking them by surprise, none of them could do anything before it was too late.
The Hobgoblin Chief turned to dust and its Demon Core, gleaming so temptingly, entered my [Subspace].
With one out of four Chiefs gone, I had to quickly move on to the others.
“Next!”
**************************
In no time at all, I killed all the Chiefs.
It was so easy I almost cried. All that I did was use the same tactics—rinse and repeat.
“Hahahaha! This is fun!”
My voice echoed across the empty place where only I sat. I wasn’t worried about being heard, though, since I had already taken all the Gifteds back into [Subspace]. Plus, <Automatic Summon> was on, so any threat that drew near me would be dealt with… that is, if the defensive measure of the Throne didn’t neutralize it.
“Well, I suppose that’s enough fun for now… it’s time for the main event!”
Yes, the reason so many people died and the one who was responsible for my countless Level Ups. It was time to properly thank the creature that once sat on the very throne I now used.
I made sure everything was in order, my Stats were boosted to their maximum thanks to my items, no disadvantages whatsoever on my end—this was my territory now!
All that was left was to introduce the one I would be facing.
“Let the final round begin!”
