Rise of the Crusader-Chapter 78
78 Implantable Bio-Stimulant II
Raphael didn’t spend too much time in Aurora’s room, and after he received the implantable bio-stimulants from Aurora, he headed back to his dormitory.
Even though Aurora was the number one student in the tech division, Raphael only considered her to be above average. And it would be ridiculous if he were to receive the stimulant for his mother without performing some tests on it.
With an apron around his body, Raphael stood in his room in front of the construction table with his hand on his chin. “She is not so bad after all,” Raphael muttered as he stared at the bio-stimulant in front of him.
“It would have been a lot better if I was able to create it myself, though. That damn helium tank.” Raphael sneered as he removed the apron from his body.
Raphael took the stimulants on the table, and then waved his hand at Gus, “Come on, let’s go.” As Gus landed on his shoulder, Raphael began walking out of the room.

Raphael didn’t face any problems when he went back into the research and support building, even the woman at the door didn’t hinder his movements.
She had only just glanced at him and then moved her eyes a second after.
As Raphael stepped onto the forty-eight floor of the building, he was greeted by the sight of Serena, who was walking around the hallway with a seemingly worried expression on her face.
.....
“You have created it already,” The moment Serena saw Raphael, her eyes lit up, and she rushed toward him. “Let me have a look at it.”
While Serena possessed no skills whatsoever when it came to creating gadgets, she was very enthusiastic about it. One of the most enthusiastic person that Raphael knew.
Raphael had always considered it to be because of her business mentality. To Serena, any new invention opened the gate to several business opportunities for her.
“I didn’t create it,” Raphael stated as he took out the implantable bio-stimulant.
“Raphael, what is this?” Serena asked, “Would you mind explaining why you’re holding a chip, and what does it have to do with making Yvonne walk?”
The question just kept coming one after the other from Serena.
As for Raphael, he shook his head and drew a deep breath. “It’s not a chip, it’s an implantable bio-stimulants. And this is the piece of technology that’s going to make my mother walk again.” Raphael replied.
Serena raised her eyebrow, but then her lips curved into a smile. “I’m actually still a bit confused about it, but if you need any assistance, I’m here to help.”
“It’s fine. I will implant the bio-stimulant in the base of her spine. Then I have to wait for the result.” With that said, Raphael walked into
the room.
It wasn’t then up to a minute after Raphael entered the room, and the three figures who had been in the room the whole time rushed out.
Serena flashed a light smile when she saw the look on their faces as they came out of the room. The three of them were drenched in sweat, and fear and panic were written evidently on their faces.
Time went by swiftly and in the blink of an eye, two hours passed by swiftly.
Raphael had come out of the room an hour after he went in, and he then sat on the chair in the hallway. His eyes were fixed on the clock that was in front of him, and his hand was placed on his forehead.
Though Raphael tried to conceal his emotions, Serena was still able to discern them. She rubbed his back gently, “Be calm, okay? She is going to be fine.” Serena said in a gentle tone.
Her words were however of no effect as Raphael glanced at the room beside him, and then the clock, before heaving a deep breath.
“Ah-Ahem...” Suddenly, a man wearing a surgical robe walked out of the room. “She is awake.” The man lowered his head when he spoke, and once he had informed Raphael, he moved away very quickly.
Meanwhile, an expression of relief appeared on Raphael’s face when he heard the man. He stood from his seat, and as the look on his face changed, he went into the room.
“Won’t you come to hug your mother, or are you just going to stand there?” Yvonne asked with a smile on her face.
Raphael nodded his head, and he began to walk toward his mother. “Come closer.” As Raphael heard Yvonne, he moved closer and placed his head gently on her bosom.
The smile on Yvonne’s face widened, as she patted Raphael’s head gently. “Sorry for troubling you and your friends, I’m feeling better now.”
“It was a little misunderstanding from my end, but it has already been cleared, so you don’t have to worry about my safety,” Yvonne said.
Raphael raised his head when he heard Yvonne, he moved a few steps backward and then glared at her.
“Mother?” A bone-chilling smile couldn’t help but appear on Raphael’s face as he spoke.
As Raphael glared at Yvonne, she didn’t back down from his stares and instead glued her eyes to his. “I said it was a misunderstanding, and it has already been cleared up, so let it be.”
“There’s no use in lying to you, I know by now you must have figured out what happened, and even if you haven’t, it’s just a matter of time.” Yvonne paused, “Let me make this clear, you’re not to make any move on them.”
“The Queen’s are families, and they are off limits,” Yvonne exclaimed as she sat properly on the bed. “What’s so funny that making you have a smile on your face.”
Yvonne raised an eyebrow when she saw the look on Raphael’s face.
Raphael, however, shook his head, “It’s funny how you think I’d listen to it. This isn’t something to debate on or argue about, I will make a move on them, whether you like it or not, mother.”
“Oh really,” Yvonne sneered, she slowly then stood from her bed, “This is where it was gotten to! You’re able to talk back to your mother and disobey her, isn’t it?!” Yvonne said in a seemingly displeased tone.
As for Raphael, when Yvonne stood from the bed, he couldn’t help but seize her from head to toe. A light smile appeared on his face. However, the smile only lasted for a second before it vanished, and his expression became stern.
“What is it?” Yvonne asked.
Knowing his mother well, Raphael was certain that if he were to tell her that he had to implant technology in the base of her spine, so she would be able to walk, she was going to freak out.
There was no saying what she might do, so when she spoke, Raphael simply shook his head.
“I want you to promise me that you won’t attack the Queen’s. It was a little misunderstanding, and it has already been taken care of now. They won’t be bothering us any longer.” This time around, Yvonne spoke in a gentle tone.
Yvonne took a step closer to Raphael. Even though her legs trembled when she took that step, she didn’t think much about it and assumed it was because of the injuries she suffered.
“Mikkelson, please let this one slide,” Yvonne said.
And in response, Raphael sneered, “Calling me that name only wants me to shred them into pieces.”
“What’s wrong with that name? That’s the name your father gave to you, I was the one who chose Raphael as your first name.” Yvonne said with her hands folded across her chest.
“There is no room for discussion about this, mom, I will make them pay for this.”
Yvonne drew a deep breath, she was about to speak when Serena walked into the room. “Serena, it’s good that you’re here. Can you speak some sense into this lover of yours?”
“We are not... You know what, never mind.” Serena said. “But, she isn’t wrong. The Queen’s are much more dangerous and powerful than you imagine.”
“Even the academy has been working on dealing with them for years now, but they have not been able to lay a hand on the family. The least they have done was scratch the surface.”
“And this is the fifth-year students going after them.” There was a bit of fear and respect present in Serena’s voice as she spoke.
Yvonne nodded her head, she turned towards Raphael and said, “What about this, Raphael.”
“You’re already close to becoming an A-rank metahuman, when you become an S-Rank, you can do whatever it is you want to them.”
“Yes, Raphael. I will also help you when that time comes.” Serena exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Raphael’s eyebrows furrowed, he stared at his wristwatch which wasn’t on and peered deep into his mother’s eyes. “Mom, I don’t recall ever mentioning my rank to you, so how come you know about it?”
Raphael’s words brought a reaction from Serena as she recollected what Yvonne said. Serena then stared at Yvonne with a bewildered look on her face.
“Oh, about that, it isn’t hard to figure out. I was the one who gave birth to you, so of course, I’m able to tell the differences.” Yvonne responded.
Raphael’s eyes bulged, he was about to speak when multiple voices rang out. The voice was coming from out of the building, and a second after it emerged, Serena walked towards the window.
“That was faster than I expected,” Serena mumbled.
“What is that?” Raphael asked.
Serena turned towards Raphael, “The first division’s war of your set.” Serena responded.
