"This is too much fun," The giant ghoul laughed as he licked his lips and his gaze set on the human girl who had yet to try tickling him with her attacks.

Lily bit down on her lips upon seeing all three of her sisters having their attacks thwarted as if it was nothing.

This was enough for her to realize that this giant ghoul was at least stronger than a cultivator at the middle levels of the Profound Ethereal Realm.

"Run little human," The ghoul said with a sadistic smile since he found it more exciting to chase down his prey rather than simply striking them down.

Lily didn't respond to his taunt but pointed her longsword at him as the blade began to shine with a blinding, pure white light.

"Yaargh!!" The giant ghoul stumbled back as if he was startled by the blinding light that stunned him.

"Everyone, now!" Lily shouted as all four of them nodded and charged towards the giant ghoul to take advantage of the window of opportunity Lily had bought them.

Lily shot forward to stab him in the chest; Reva shot three icy, sharp arrows towards him, targeting three vital points; Valentina let loose her hand scythe to puncture his neck while Yuria pressed her feet on the earth to manipulate it and lock the giant ghoul's legs.

All of their attacks struck him, but every single one of them was shocked since even their combined attacks only left red marks but nothing more than that. Valentina was the only one who managed to pierce his nape, but her blade didn't go deep enough to cause any serious injury.

"YAARGH!!" The giant ghoul roared as if he was incensed after getting ganged upon by weak humans and even having his skin pierced.

His body was huge, but his counterattack was so nimble and quick that Lily and Valentina, who was closest to him, were unable to fully escape as he cut an arc with his machete in front of him.

The two of them did manage to step back to avoid almost all the force behind the attack. But they still got struck by the tip of the machete, which sent him flying in two different directions.

Both of them crashed to the ground with a grunt, but Lily was more hurt since she wasn't physically as strong as Valentina.

But to both of their surprise, their suits seemed intact, and it seemed as if the suit had directed all the force towards them to protect itself.

They didn't know if they should feel frustrated that their suit didn't defend against the attack completely or be glad that their suit wasn't damaged. They knew if the suit got damaged, they wouldn't be able to use its functions efficiently.

This was something Alex had warned them.

"Are you two alright?" Reva asked as she tried to run towards them.

"W-We are fine…Watch out!" Lily called out as she saw the giant ghoul throwing the machete toward Reva, who was in mid-air.

Reva raised her brows as she twisted her body in the air to dodge it, but just as she thought she was in, the clear, dark brown earth shot up and wrapped around her legs.

"Reva!" Lily called out in worry, but she was unable to get up as her back was numbed from the impact.

Valentina rushed towards Reva to help her, but the giant ghoul snapped his fingers together as he smashed Reva to the ground, cracking the earth beneath her.

"You animal!" Yuria felt enraged seeing her sister getting smashed so wildly to the ground and moved her hands together as she constructed chains of earth from the ground.

These chains swiftly wrapped around the giant ghouls' limbs and neck in an attempt to make him fall to the ground.

"Keep pressure on him, Yuria!" Valentina was equally determined to drain the blood of this ghoul who dared to hurt her sisters.

Hearing her words, Yuria grimaced as she put in all her energy to strengthen the earthen chains around the giant ghoul to let Valentina easily attack him.

Valentina transformed her hand scythe into a sharp curved sword as she tried to slash the giant ghouls' neck.

"Little ants!" The giant ghoul roared as he stomped the earth under his feet and broke off the earthen chains that were trying to trap him.

And right before Valentina's blade could touch his neck, he punched her stomach, making her eyes widen as she was sent flying for hundreds of meters before crashing down on a tower.

"Valentina!" Lily was horrified to see Valentina getting blown away by such a powerful blow. She couldn't help but feel worried that Valentina got seriously injured.

However, she felt her entire body becoming sluggish suddenly, making her realize that the giant ghoul had its focus on her own.

After getting his eyes temporarily blinded by her light, the giant ghoul realized the only human here could pose a threat to him.

The power of ethereal light was something ghouls inherently feared, including someone as big and strong as him. So he decided to not play any games and finish her off first before she could do anything.

Lily clenched her jaw as she raised her hand, which radiated a blinding white light that made the giant ghoul grunt as he shielded his face with his hands.

"Yuria, it's now or never!" Lily mentally called out to her, making Yuria look in her direction with a tense face.

Gunner had told her to not use it unless all of them were at their wits end. But even if she uses it now, she wouldn't have enough time to save Lily. Yuria didn't waste any time thinking any longer and rushed towards Lily so that she could get in front of the giant ghoul and buy as much time as possible, even if it could mean certain death.

The giant ghoul shut his eyes firmly as he charged toward Lily by simply using his other senses. Since her ethereal light was too weak to hurt his skin severely, all he had to do was keep something as sensitive as his eyes protected by having them closed.

Lily saw how this giant ghoul managed to find a way to protect himself against her light and wondered if this was it.
