Rise of The Anti God-Chapter 688: Seven Vs A Million And More
Damien smiled as he nodded and patted their hands, "Yes. No matter what, we are in this together," His first thought was to get them out of here, but then he realized that fighting together was better no matter how this was going to end.
Elor and Irene softly smiled, seeing the strong bond between these four. It seemed as if they had known each other for a lifetime and not just two years.
"Damien, swallow this Rank 6 pill. I had exhausted almost all the best pills in my hand to treat others, but this will help you recover some of your ethereal energy to fight," Leon said as he handed over a white pill to Damien.
"Thank you, Senior Leon," Damien said before swallowing the pill as he took a deep breath, preparing for a battle that had never seemed so hopeless.
"I was born as a Xetonian, but I strive for prosperity and peace in this continent. It will be an honor to fight alongside you all," Leon said with a calm smile as he saw the cracks spreading across the barrier even more. He didn't really care if he was going to fall here today. He was, instead, happy that he could finally do what he wanted to do without any restrictions.
"Likewise for us all, Leon. Let's kill as many of these evil things as we can so that our continent would still have a fighting chance," Elor said as his eyes lit up with battle intent, just like Irene's. Both of their battle intentions were fueled by their passion for protecting the home they grew up in. It was no longer just about the Xeton Empire only.
*CRACK!*
The barrier shattered with a loud crack as the ethereal attacks from the berserk army rained down on Damien and the others.
Everyone immediately dodged in different directions instead of standing in the same spot and trying to defend themselves to avoid getting boxed in.
Damien and his wives didn't even have to glance at each other to communicate effectively as each of them charged up their ethereal arts in a synchronized manner.
Damien was not in his peak condition, but fortunately, due to Leon's pill, he had recovered enough energy to expel clouds of Anti-God energy into the air above the army to summon the Rain of Death.
Damien decided to gamble as he burned a good amount of his energy to conjure large clouds of Anti-God energy for the Rain of Death to be as effective as possible.
Yuria had already augmented Reva and Lily's cultivation other than her own to the point all three of them were nearing the Middle Level of the Profound Ethereal Realm.
Elor, Irene, and Leon, who had only heard about Yuria's powerful ability to increase cultivations temporarily, were astonished to see it in action.
Unfortunately, she couldn't do the same to them since she felt that their ethereal cores wouldn't be able to handle it and might become unstable, leading to imminent death.
She felt she couldn't use this ability of hers on people with a normal constitution, unlike Lily and Reva's.
Yuria also realized that she could only augment two to three people of comparable cultivation level to hers without feeling too much exhaustion.
But Yuria had no plans to stay still as she snapped her fingers together, and dozens of daggers, swords, and all sorts of weapons manifested beside her as they floated in the air by themselves without her doing anything.
The three seniors were yet again astonished since they recognized these dozens of weapons not to be just ordinary ones but Spirit Weapons!
How come she managed to forge all these on her own? Still, they were thrilled to see these surprises since all this would increase their chances of survival, no matter how small.
Reva created a dome-shaped solid azure-colored ice around her with a very small opening on the bottom, which Damien recognized as the Barrier of Doom which he also had learned. With just a thought, he understood what Reva was planning to do. Otherwise, he wouldn't understand why she would paint herself as a target and trap herself in the middle of the enemy's ethereal attacks.
Lily had moved back, even behind Elor, Irene, and Leon, as she decided to use her ethereal Light energy to make sure nobody got exhausted too fast by going all out.
Ribbons of brilliant white light spread out from her palms and attached themselves to Yuria, Reva, Elor, Irene, and Leon, making them feel as if they had gained twice the ethereal energy they initially had.
But Lily was disappointed that she couldn't help Damien the same since, unfortunately, his constitution wouldn't accept her ethereal light energy as efficiently as others.
Irene had already manifested her ethereal manifestation in the form of a giant female swan in the sky, while Elor and Leon's ethereal manifestations took the form of a male swan and a flock of giant pigeons, respectively.
Damien clapped his hands together as he summoned the Rain of Death, thousands and thousands of jet-black icy shards raining down on the berserk army, slaughtering thousands within seconds as those icy shards tore through their flesh and made them collapse to the ground while those who were not in the middle of the rain were already charging up ethereal defensive formations along with offensive ones.
Even if all of them seemed to be in a berserk state, they seemed conscious enough to remember how to make their moves during a large-scale battle.
Rank 7 formations were said to be the very best but very rare at the same time to the point only very few experts could draw such formations.
However, the formation experts among the Xeton Imperial Army were skilled enough to even quickly draw up Rank 6 formations in the middle of a battle. But even if it was only a Rank 6 formation, it could match the effective output of a Rank 7 formation due to the sheer amount of ethereal energy being supplied to it. This was the very reason nobody would lightly take an army equipped with formations.
And to Damien's dismay, his Rain of Death was only able to deal damage to about 25% of the berserk army, already draining a lot of energy from his side. The rest, 75%, were standing strong enough to fire a flurry of powerful ethereal attacks which were zooming towards him and the others. Each one was enough to instantly kill a Low-Level Profound Ethereal Realm cultivator!
