Revenge Deal With The Devil-Chapter 83: MARCY
Amelia used the her fake ID to logde into a hotel arranging her things and settling down there.
She sat at the edge of the bed and sighed she could not believe that such a happy memory lasted for a moment.
She took in a deep breath and exhaled, it was time for a new life, she should not think of old things it was time for a new life and time for her to move on with her life.
She collapsed on the bed dozing off almost immediately due to her tired body but from the emotional stress and the her physical body stress too.
TWO MONTHS LATER
Amelia had finally settled into life as Manika, she had gotten a job as a waitress in a cafe shop, her boss was nice and everything was going well for her.
During the day she worked in the cafe and at night she would hack into hospital records checking to see if there was records of a red haired child or something with Amalia characteristics maybe she would get a lead on which of the hospital’s that Amalia was born in and finally after 2 freaking months she got a lead.
Today, Amelia had already requested a leave from her boss for the next day so she could go to the hospital and check or snoop around for Amalia birth records so she could see if there was anything about their birth mother.
"Hey Manika, you look pale, are you okay?" A co-worker asked Amelia noticing how pale she looked.
"It’s alright, I’m fine just feeling a little dizzy." Amelia quickly forced a smile at the worker massaging her head trying to surpress the headache she was feeling, the headaches started two weeks after she arrived at country X, she did not bother about it because Amelia knew she had been over stressing herself but she had to do it.
She did not want to think about Damon or his teasing face, so she would usually over work herself to the extent that by the time she got back home when she hits the bed she would sleep immediately but even sometimes in her dreams she see him there looking at her with a disappointed gaze.
Amelia would always wonder if he had already found out if she had left, or maybw if he had probably moved on with his mate already and has forgotten about her.
"Maybe you should go rest." The co-worker said again out of worry, Amelia smiled at the woman feeling relieved, this was the only friend she had made so far when she reached country X.
Grace was a married woman with two kids and have been supporting Amelia ever since she knew her.
"I’m fine." Amelia chuckled finding it funny, at first she had tried to push Grace away because she felt that she did not deserve anyone kindness after what she did but Grace large heart pulled Amelia into her warm heat circle making Amelia feel at home.
"As your boss I order you to go rest." Grace said in a stern voice, Amelia sighed giving up, although Grace was her friend when it came to work the attitude drops, "Okay fine I will." Amelia rolled her eyes going to the back and removing her apron and hair net.
Grace stared at Amelia’s back with a worried smile on her face, ever since dhe knew Manika she had never seen her with anybody she could call a family member or even a boyfriend, it was like she was all alone in this world, a soldier left in a battlefield alone with a large army as it’s opponent, nobody to rely on and call his own he just stood there taking the hits with sadness in his heart.
Amelia picked up her bag and waved to Grace goodbye before leaving the cafe, she trekked to her house which she had gotten and opened up the door to her solitary confinement, her home.
Immediately Amelia put her first foot forward into the house she felt a wave of dizziness hit her, she held the door panel for support and used her other hand to hold her head.
ိIt was only like this for some weeks now, she would have dizzy spells that would wear off after a while.
Amelia waited for a bit waiting for it to subside a bit before entering into the room locking the door.
Her apartment was not too extravagant and not too plain, it was modest and had everything that she needed to survive there.
Amelia dragged her body to the kitchen and picked out a box of cereal from the high cupboard, she could not cook and take outs has been what she have been living on for the past few weeks.
She turned the cereal in a bowl with milk and sat on the highlander chewing on it slowly.
She had the urge to throw up but held it in, if she threw it up she would have to order take out and she was not ready for that.
Amelia lazily scrolled through her phone with one hand using her other hand to eat.
As Damon instructed she did not contact anyone apart from the few anonymous messages she usually sent to Marcus to keep her facade going.
She made sure to have each number to be heavily encrypted so that they would not be trackable and it won’t be traced back to her.
The next news Amwlia saw made her break into a smile, Marcus has been sent to a mental hospital to cure his illusions.
Apparently after she left he started seeing her everywhere and thought maybe her ghost wanted to hunt him.
Marcy was fed up already and took him to a mental hospital.
Amelia smirked at this development knowing that without Marcus, Marcy could not run the company efficiently and if it goes bankrupt that is when she comes in as Manika to buy the company off her and then her property would be hers again that was what she wanted, get back what belonged to her.
Amelia suddenly felt the urge to throw up and rushed to the bedroom, opening the bathroom door in a hurry, she knelt down to thee ground in front of the toilet emptying her bowels into it.
Immediately she was done, Amelia stood up and washed her face, she sighed "That cereal is probably expired." Amelia sneered at herself.
She gave up on eating anything and immediately went to the bed to lay down, she drifted to sleep almost immediately tomorrow was a big day that might put an end to her sleepless nights.
THE NEXT MORNING
Amelia dressed up sluggishly as she stared at herself in the mirror, she missed Damon teasing, she remembered how he would take care of her at nights, "Snap out of it Amelia!!" Amelia cautioned herself slapping her cheeks, it was time to fully wake up.
After grabbing her bag she sluggishly headed to the hospital, she hailed a cab and told him the address where she was going to.
Amelia rested her head on the chair closing her eyes, she tried to pull herself together because of the dizziness she felt, she suddenly wondered if she had motion sickness because this was starting to get out of hands. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Ma’am, we are here." The taxi driver called out carefully, not sure if she was already asleep, he saw her pale face and wondered if she was already dead because she just sat there unmoving.
"Ma’am?" The driver called again with fear in his heart, he did not want to go through the stress of having a dead body found in his car.
"I’m awake and well don’t worry, I just want to relax for a bit." Amelia said weakly, she felt like all her energy was out of her, she just needed sometime before getting out.
After a while Amelia suddenly sat up and streched out a bill to the driver, "Thank you for your time." She said with a soft smile, she was grateful that he had waited for her to pull herself together and not throw a fit like some people would do.
"Thank you ma’am." The driver collected the money happily, "I hope you get better soon." He said with a delighted smile on his face.
"I hope so too." Amelia said headibg out of the taxi and shutting the door.
She headed straight to the hospital hallways and saw a familiar figure chatting with a doctor, this figure, she knew it very well but could not remember who it was as her brain was doggy, who could it be, Amelia wondered confused.
Immediately the person turned her back, Amelia dropped her bag in shock, it was Marcy, why was she here and why was she discussing with the doctor, could it be Marcy had found out where she was.
"Help a woman just fainted." Amelia heard someone scream, who fainted and why was everything suddenly dark, she could hear people running around and felt someone carry her, did someone not faint, why were they paying attention to her instead of the individual.
