Returning From The Magic World-Chapter 157 See Amanda’s Mother
The video call ended pretty quickly because there really wasn't anything they wanted to talk about too much. More precisely, each of them chose to hold back.
As Arthur put his phone back in his pocket and stood up, Harry suddenly took his hand. 𝘧𝓇𝒆𝗲𝓌𝙚𝙗𝓷o𝘷𝒆𝘭.𝐜𝚘𝒎
"A-Arthur, who is that woman?" he asked.
"Suzune!" As usual, Arthur didn't hide anything he didn't need to keep a secret.
Of course, Harry was confused by the name, he wanted to know her identity.
One thing that made his interest increase was because she was talking about the arms exhibition in Paris. The fair was something he knew all too well because of his father's business.
"You can look up her social media accounts," Arthur added before taking a step.
Harry hastily pulled out his cell phone, looking up the name on a social media.
Surprisingly enough; he was able to find it directly because the woman's account did have some popularity.
And when he saw the job written in the woman's account bio, he jumped in surprise.
"Arthur, wait!" He chased after Arthur, trying to run as fast as he could.
"Y-you know, I'm from Paris. I always visit the arms exhibition there, my father is one of the participants," he said.
"Oh?" Arthur slowed down and stared at the fat man.
"Was your father in the arms business?" he asked.
"My father owns a factory capable of producing weapons. We don't develop it ourselves, but we receive production services from weapons companies," he replied.
"I see!" Arthur nodded in understanding. "That means you can guide me when I visit the exhibition later," he said, which made Harry smile wryly.
However, he did not refuse.
"Don't worry, we can go there together! It's just, can you tell me what you meant by talking to that woman?" he asked.
"You know I feel like you guys aren't talking about games," he added.
"I never said we were talking about games." Arthur laughed at his words.
"So?" The fat man became more and more confused.
However, Arthur didn't respond anymore.
When he got downstairs, Amanda's car came again, taking the students' breath away.
Fortunately, at this moment Carla and Bella weren't around so Arthur was able to get to the car undisturbed. Maybe the two girls were being assigned to help their teacher.
As soon as he got into the car, it immediately slid.
Amanda's outfit this time was simpler, consisting of trousers and a white shirt. Overall, she could be said to be quite polite in appearance.
The car headed to an area in the center of Vera City. There, indeed, is a residential area, who knows how much a house costs there. It definitely wasn't something the average rich person could afford.
"By the way..." Amanda started chatting. "I'm worried that our stock of agarwood will sell out immediately when the shop opens, so I suggest we buy new branches soon... However, I know that this is difficult, so I plan to build a team that focuses on dealing with this. Later, the team will contact everyone who can bring the agarwood branches to Europe."
"Well, I'll leave it all up to you," replied Arthur, who at the moment had little interest in talking business.
From the start, it was not in his interest, he would only talk about it when it was necessary for him.
Amanda eventually stopped talking about it because Arthur wasn't interested.
"Did you know Luke's funeral is being held tonight?" She finally changed the subject.
"That has nothing to do with us, right?" Arthur asked, looking at Amanda with a look of wonder if there was something.
"It will definitely be visited by major figures who have close ties to the Anderson family... You know, they sometimes talk about something when they get together, so maybe you could send Rose, Hunter, or any of the mercenaries to do some surveillance."
"That's a great idea!" Arthur immediately agreed with Amanda's suggestion.
It wasn't that his intelligence was lacking so he didn't think about it, but it wasn't something that was common in the Magis World.
Plus, the average magus died in the middle of nowhere or had their body crumbled to ashes, burials were extremely rare when they were stronger.
He then texted Rose, telling her about the funeral.
The car finally arrived at a residential area which was indeed very elite. Even the number of security guards is enough to become a troop.
Uniquely, the area is somewhat hidden, whether it's blocked by skyscrapers or small forest parks.
If somehow there was social chaos in this city, the area would probably be able to escape the rampaging mobs.
Amanda's car smoothly entered. It then headed for an ancient styled villa that looked like a castle.
Even though it was much smaller than Amanda's mansion, it gave off the impression like it had more aura.
Amanda parked her car in the courtyard of the villa. When the car engine stopped, she took a deep breath. With one glance, you can see her tension.
"I'm sure your mother isn't a lioness who eats humans, why are you so worried?" Arthur asked.
He had never seen the woman, Sophia, but Carla had.
Several times she spoke about her before Arthur left for the Sky World.
According to her, Bella's mother or Amanda's mother was a kind and gentle woman.
Amanda didn't respond, just rolled her eyes. Maybe the problem wasn't her mother, but herself worrying too much.
"Let's go!" In the end, she just said that.
Right after Arthur and Amanda got out of the car, a middle-aged woman who still looked to be in her mid-30s came out of the villa door.
She had straight, long auburn hair and pure white skin that was slightly rosy.
Her face was absolutely beautiful with light blue eyes and pink lips which, when she smiled just a little, caused dimples to appear on each of her cheeks.
She was of fairly average height, but she was slim in an elegant way, looking gorgeous in the casual dress she was wearing.
When she saw Amanda together with a man who despite being ten years younger than her, her smile became even wider, slightly revealing a row of white teeth.
Even before she spoke, Arthur could already feel her friendliness.
