Return of the Mythic Bloodline-Chapter 412: Killing Intent
"Your Highness, it’s a rude question, but may I ask why you are so meticulous when it comes to Voltrex?" Rhaegar asked, seated inside a carriage. "For the past eighteen years, you have visited him only once, and that too when that strange reverberation occurred across the Vyoman."
With curiosity laced in his voice, Rhaegar continued, "You didn’t even allow anyone to enter the chamber where he was kept. I do not underestimate his might, but his dantian was destroyed. He is nothing more than a regular human."
"Yet he survived without food, water, or Soulforce for the past eighteen years," Kharos replied, his voice grave. "Even if his dantian is destroyed, you are forgetting one critical thing, Rhaegar. He is Voltrex El Thunderbane, the mightiest warrior of the Western Continent. You cannot and must not analyze him with normal logic, as he is the breaker of laws itself." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Vivi, activate First Mythic Trans—" Taranis’s words halted mid-sentence as he sensed something utterly ominous surging.
A strong gust of wind rushed through the pillar, and an eerie presence that Taranis could not pinpoint emerged.
From the bottom of the pillar, both inside and out, gigantic serpents of crimson lightning surged forth. At a glance, Taranis could tell that it was not calamity-class lightning. It was something far more dangerous and horrifying, as he could sense Death Energy itself interwoven within the lightning.
Even though Taranis was not the target, the pressure he felt from the lightning was enough to make his Divine Senses tremble uncontrollably.
As the lightning serpents coiled around the pillar, soldiers collapsed to the ground one after another from the mere touch of the lightning.
The entire pillar shook violently. Large chunks of debris began crashing down to the bottom. Not only the pillar, but the entire surrounding area trembled under the presence of this terrifying force.
"Wh-what in the absolute hell is this?" Adam murmured as he watched his soldiers fall lifeless without the slightest resistance. Chills crept down his spine, his breathing turning ragged as raw fear gripped his body.
This was the same level of fear he had felt when Taranis transformed into the demonic monster at Sentinel Line.

Inside the meeting hall of Ironvale Fortress...
"So those Empire bastards were intending to ambush us once we left the fortress," Titan muttered, reading the letter Jambavan had handed him, which he had received from Vyaghra.
"Did you expect chivalry from people who backstabbed the warriors that saved their kingdom?" Barbatos shrugged, as if this scheme were obvious.
"Each time I think they couldn’t become more despicable, they prove me wrong with an even more vile act," Tartaglia clicked his tongue, shaking his head behind his hand fan.
"I will order my disciples to reinforce the array," Sylvaris said, her voice hurried.
"I will order the soldiers to fortify the defenses and remain on high alert," Titan added.
"And I will inform everyone once I sense the enemy army," Aurelion offered.
One by one, the Bane representatives took up their duties and were about to move out, but then all of them froze in place. Their eyes widened, and cold sweat broke out across their skin.
Those at the Eternal Sage realm could not identify the ominous pressure they were feeling. It was as if death itself had seized them by the throat.
Slowly, their breathing turned ragged, their chests rising and falling rapidly under the terrifying pressure.
Unlike them, Jambavan and Aurelion knew what this eerie pressure was.
"Wh-who could release such terrifyin’ Killin’ Intent?" Jambavan muttered, confusion and shock lacing his voice.
"There is only one person capable of such a feat," Aurelion murmured, the corner of his lips curling slightly upward. "This is the Killing Intent of Voltrex El Thunderbane."

Heaven’s Sovereign Peak, Hundred Sky Mountains...
"Do not worry, Lunaria. Nymeria will recover," Aestra said, gently hugging Lunaria, who had, like every day, begun sobbing as she watched her daughter slowly succumb to death.
The Death Energy within Nymeria had already reached up to her knees.
"Since Taranis made the promise, he will surely heal her. He never makes false promises," Aestra added, gently patting Lunaria’s head.
"I’m not doubting Taranis," Lunaria said between sobs. "I’m just ashamed of myself for not understanding my child’s suffering. Instead of supporting her, I didn’t even trust her and only added to her misery. I... I’m a terrible mother."
"I won’t deny the mistakes you have made, Lunaria," Aestra said, her voice firm. "But that is also part of parenting. You cannot be a perfect parent, no one can. What we can do is learn from our mistakes and become the kind of parent our children can rely on."
Turning to Ume, who was channeling her Divine Soulforce into Nymeria’s temples, Aestra gently wiped the beads of sweat forming on Ume’s forehead and said, "I’m truly grateful for your help, Ume. You have come like a blessing to the Hundred Sky Mountains."
"Do not say that, Mother," Ume replied with a warm smile. "As her elder sister, it is my duty to protect her."
The two of them spoke for a short while, and just as Aestra was about to leave to attend to her duties as queen, her steps halted abruptly as a strange sensation crept up her spine.
Lunaria fared no better. Her breathing turned ragged, and her body broke into a cold sweat as the overwhelming pressure descended upon her.
"Is there truly someone in this era capable of releasing such an ominous Killing Intent?" Ume murmured, her brows furrowing in disbelief.
Aestra could not identify what the strange pressure was, but unlike the others, it felt oddly comforting to her, and a face appeared in her mind.
"Voltrex..." she murmured inwardly, tears unknowingly forming in her eyes.

"Th-that was quite a terrifying spectacle," Vyaghra murmured, witnessing the serpents of crimson lightning before him.
It was rare for Vyaghra to stutter, rarer still for him to praise someone, and even rarer for him to use the word "terrifying" in that praise. Such was the might of Voltrex, who compelled even the most cold-hearted and unyielding god to acknowledge him with nothing more than his Killing Intent.
