Return of the Immortal Emperor Daddy-Chapter 229 Iron Guard (1/5)
Wu Tian's decision to appoint the little one as Sect Leader was not merely an act of doting love. She practiced the Dominating Art, a Cultivation Technique created by the Empress herself. The martial arts of this city were like ants, whereas the Dominating Art was like the fire phoenix of myth. The little one advanced rapidly in her cultivation, her speed astonishing even Wu Tian. As a Sect Leader, she was more than qualified. It could be said that aside from the top few among the Seven Saints of Dragon Country who could potentially suppress her, almost no one else was her match. This was no exaggeration; the difference in their Cultivation Techniques was simply too vast. It was like comparing someone practicing one of the foremost techniques from the highest tier of a Fantasy world to someone practicing a mediocre technique from a Lower-Class cultivation world. Although Spiritual Energy was scarce in the city, the Dominating Art primarily emphasized a "Solely I Reign Supreme" State of Mind. The gap was obvious.
The few Huashan Sect disciples who had just been baying for Wu Tian's blood now scrambled to flee.
Wu Tian gave a cold smile. Escape from me? How is that possible? They were his enemies and had shown killing intent, so they had crossed his line. Anyone who wanted him dead had to die.
At that moment, the temperature in the courtyard plummeted. Cui Chong and the others felt their bodies begin to tremble. Even the Arrow King was no exception; he had to clench his teeth just to stand his ground. But the Arrow King's eyes, like everyone else's, were filled with utter shock.
"Die!" As Wu Tian spoke, he slammed his palm on the table. The chopsticks on it immediately shot into the air. With a wave of his hand, the chopsticks shot out like throwing knives. In the next moment, the Huashan Sect disciples who had wanted Wu Tian dead were all impaled through the heart, falling to the ground one by one.
The remaining Huashan Sect disciples were so terrified they prostrated themselves on the ground.
The Arrow King knew he had once again underestimated Wu Tian's power, but he still found the courage to ask, "I'm very curious. Why would the Huashan Sect target you for no apparent reason?" In the Arrow King's eyes, an individual's life was trivial compared to the importance of justice and righteousness.
"They were goaded into causing trouble for me," Wu Tian said, his tone casual.
"Who?" the Arrow King demanded, enraged.
"Gona, Watt," Wu Tian said. He spoke their names as if they were mere ants, utterly insignificant.
Cui Chong, who knew what those names represented, exclaimed, "So it was the Rothschild Family."
Upon hearing this, the expressions of the others turned grave, and murmurs rippled through the crowd.
"Europe's number one family…"
"The government must be thrilled to have them doing business in Dragon Country."
"That's right, who would dare touch them?"
Even though the Rothschild Family was not from Dragon Country, who would truly dare to move against one of them?
The Arrow King had wanted to see who could be so audacious, but now he felt powerless. He sighed. "Forget it. As long as they don't cause any more trouble, it will be fine."
"No. It's your business if you don't care to pursue this." Wu Tian's expression remained chillingly cold. "I gave them a chance to behave themselves. They didn't listen. Now, they must die!"
Wu Tian's lips curved into a smile. To everyone watching, however, that smile was terrifying.
"Since they're so eager to court death, I'll oblige them. Let them die on this land."
Gona and Watt were skilled escape artists and had already slipped out of the Cui residence. In the courtyard, Wu Tian quietly held the little one, enjoying the feast. He was not worried about Gona and Watt escaping; he knew he had more than enough time to finish his meal before hunting them down.
Cui Chong and the others looked on, aghast. Cross Wu Tian's line, and you die? Is even a family as glorious as the Rothschilds no exception?
Qin Yuhan and Xia Qian had also walked over and sat down beside Wu Tian.
"Daddy, this is delicious."
"Mommy, you eat this too."
"Mom Xia Qian, this is for you."
The little one placed some food onto Wu Tian's, Qin Yuhan's, and Xia Qian's plates. By now, everyone in the courtyard had figured out the relationship between the four of them. Many of the gathered dignitaries were startled. Several of them recognized Qin Yuhan and Xia Qian; after all, Yang City was a major hub in the Land of the South. Qin Yuhan's Qin Corporation now had numerous other companies under its banner, including the Nalan Group and the Lin Corporation, making it the undisputed number one in Yang City. Furthermore, Xia Qian's herbal company was a rising star in its own right.
"I know Qin Zhengyang," one man murmured. "I never expected him to be so clever, using his daughter to reel in such a powerful figure."
"I have a daughter too…" many thought, only to sigh in disappointment. Their daughters could not compare in beauty, for one. And for another, as parents, they knew their own daughters' personalities all too well. How could any of them be worthy of a man at Wu Tian's peak?
「Meanwhile」
Gona and Watt scrambled out of the Cui residence in a panic, jumped into a car, and sped toward Peng City Airport. They had to get out of there.
"Watt, I told you we should stay far away from him, but you suggested we test Wu Tian. Now look what's happened!" Gona raged in the car. That damn fool, comparing himself to Zhuge Liang and Liu Bowen? Is he even worthy? he fumed.
Watt, sweating profusely, kept apologizing, "Young Master, it's my fault, but… but who could have expected Wu Tian to be so… so formidable?"
As they finally reached the airport, a group of foreigners was just emerging. These were guards from the Rothschild Family, but they were no ordinary security detail. The Rothschild Family's fame was immense, and as the saying goes, "A general's triumph is built on a mountain of bones." Naturally, the family had no shortage of enemies. These guards existed to protect the Rothschild Family, often taking on work as mercenaries on the side. They took on missions that even some Kings of Soldiers would not dare to touch. Their training regimen included life-and-death battles against wild beasts in the forest and consuming various scientifically developed Potions.
The Big Boss leading them said coldly, "The Family Head has made it clear that the Scientific Cultivation Device is of the utmost importance. Our mission is to protect Young Master Gona and ensure no one interferes with the device's market."
"Don't worry," another guard replied confidently. "We are the Iron Guards of the Rothschild Family, and we pride ourselves on being as tough as our name implies. More than a hundred of us are here this time. We'll carry out the Family Head's orders perfectly."
"That's right. Here in Dragon Country, only the Seven Saints have any real reputation. But with a hundred of us working together, even the Sword Emperor would have to treat us with respect."
Every one of the Iron Guards radiated absolute confidence. In their eyes, they were already at the pinnacle of human existence, their muscles as tough as iron and stone.
Just then, Gona and Watt tumbled out of their car, and the Iron Guards immediately spotted them. They had not expected to meet here.
The Big Boss of the Iron Guards noticed their panicked state and asked coldly, "Young Master Gona, what happened? Why are you in such a rush?" If someone forced Young Master Gona into this state, then we Iron Guards have a new target to eliminate.
