Remarried Wife: She will Remarry, But Another Person-Chapter 208: Daddy Fu’s Hug
Sabrina Hayes was very worried about Zara’s situation after leaving the art exhibition.
The little one had been visibly downcast ever since she spoke those words.
Sabrina didn’t know what to do; it wasn’t until they were outside with no one around that she looked helplessly at Jasper Fitzgerald, hoping he could help.
Jasper understood what she meant.
After giving Sabrina a reassuring look, he walked up to the little one and said softly, "Zara, do you remember what uncle told you before?"
Upon hearing his voice, the little one lifted her head to look at him.
Jasper slowly said, "If you’re unhappy, you should say it out loud, don’t bottle it up, otherwise your mommy will worry."
Zara blinked and slowly came back to her senses, glancing at him and then at her mommy, pursing her lips for a few seconds before asking softly, "Did Zara... did Zara say something wrong?
Zara said... she doesn’t want daddy."
In her heart, the little one regretted saying such words.
Ever since she was sensible, mommy always taught her to respect elders.
But today, she wasn’t obedient and said those words.
Zara was also a bit scared that mommy would blame her.
Jasper patted the little one’s head, comforting her, "Today Zara protected mommy, what’s wrong with that?
If someone bullies you two, and you courageously stand up, it shows that Zara is a child who knows right from wrong. Uncle wants to praise you, you’re terrific! You’re amazing!"
Sabrina also saw the worry in her daughter’s eyes.
She soothingly said to her daughter, "Mommy also thinks Zara did nothing wrong. In fact, I’m really happy!
Our precious has finally learned to resist and knows how to protect mommy, Zara is an extraordinarily brave baby!
From now on, mommy hopes Zara can continue to be brave, and say ’no’ to things she doesn’t like..."
At this point, Sabrina’s heart softened immensely.
She picked up the little one and gently kissed her face, "Our Zara, you should do what you like, live happily, be strong inside, and not let irrelevant things influence your decisions..."
Don’t live without self-awareness like mommy once did.
Though she didn’t say the last part out loud, Sabrina believed Zara would understand her sentiment.
The little one nodded seeming partially understanding, knowing she was not at fault, and buried her face in mommy’s embrace.
In the end, she was affected.
Sabrina felt heartache seeing her like this and wished she could end Jordan Hawthorne and the others!
For the rest of the day, the little one had lost the excitement she had when they left that morning.
Even though mommy and uncle were with her, the little girl was visibly down.
This state continued until lunch, when Jasper gave her some guidance, and only then did she improve significantly.
However, Sabrina could still sense that Zara’s emotions hadn’t fully recovered, which made her heart tightly clenched.
Because of this, Jasper canceled the afternoon’s other arrangements and took them home first.
Midway through the drive, Zara fell asleep in Sabrina’s arms.
Looking at the little one’s furrowed brows even in sleep, Sabrina worriedly looked at Jasper and asked, "Mr. Fitzgerald, Zara has been so down today, could her psychological state be affected by this morning’s events and lead to another episode?"
She had been hoping for the child to finally become healthy, Sabrina was really anxious...
Jasper understood her concerns.
But he didn’t want to hide anything from Sabrina and truthfully told her, "Yes, do you remember what I initially told you? Zara’s autism stemmed from a lack of love.
Through my treatment, her perception of emotions has become immensely stronger compared to before.
Today, that child called someone daddy directly in front of her.
And her dad, still as she remembers, once again leaned towards others, which is a significant harm for Zara.
In such a situation, there’s definitely a psychological impact.
No matter what, the bond between father and daughter is thicker than water.
Even though Zara says she doesn’t need a dad, that’s not really true.
She’s only reduced her expectations or, subconsciously, eliminated the need.
Because she knows she cannot have it, and also she doesn’t want you to be sad..."
Jasper gently rubbed the sleeping Zara’s head and said, "I’m treating her to adjust her psychological state, which is inherently a long battle. Zara is a child with rich emotions, some things cannot be discarded overnight."
Sabrina understood what he meant.
Zara was indeed affected by the situation...
She helplessly looked at Jasper and asked, "Then... what should I do?"
What can she do to help Zara?
Jasper shook his head and comforted her warmly, "You don’t need to do anything, just be by her side.
As I said before, her autism is due to a lack of love; slowly heal by consistently being there for her until the moment she no longer needs it, she will be alright."
His voice was gentle yet carried a strength that inexplicably calmed Sabrina’s anxiety.
She nodded and said, "All right, I’ll be with her."
Looking down at the little one in her arms, she silently said in her heart: Mommy will always be by your side, Zara don’t be afraid...
About twenty minutes later, the car arrived outside Sabrina’s residential area.
Getting out of the car, Sabrina recalled the scene when Zara wasn’t quite right after sleeping last time.
Out of concern, she asked Jasper, "Mr. Fitzgerald, do you have anything or work planned for this afternoon?
If not, may I invite you up for a cup of tea?"
Jasper Fitzgerald saw through her thoughts at a glance, "Are you worried Zara will wake up and be stressed?"
"Yes."
Sabrina Hayes nodded and didn’t deny it, saying to Jasper Fitzgerald, "Last time she had a fever, she was off after waking up. I’m afraid... But if you’re busy, it’s okay."
Reflecting on today’s events, Sabrina Hayes actually felt quite embarrassed.
The man in front of her, nobly unparalleled, originally stood on the clouds, a lofty deity.
And she, she let him see such ridiculous entanglement.
Jasper Fitzgerald stared at her for a few seconds and said to Sabrina Hayes, "I’ve cleared my schedule for Zara today; I don’t have anything else planned this afternoon."
Hearing this response, Sabrina Hayes’ eyes lit up, and her expression relaxed as she promptly replied, "Thank you so much!"
Jasper Fitzgerald didn’t say anything. He stepped closer to Sabrina Hayes, suddenly leaned over, and gently said, "Let me hold her."
Sabrina Hayes hadn’t had time to speak when the distance between them suddenly narrowed.
The man’s silhouette enveloped her, and Sabrina Hayes felt her heartbeat skip a beat.
Before she could gather her thoughts, Zara was already in his arms...
Watching Jasper Fitzgerald walk out first, Sabrina Hayes’ chaotic thoughts dispersed without a trace, and she quickly followed him upstairs.
Upon arriving home, Zara hadn’t woken up yet.
Sabrina Hayes asked Jasper Fitzgerald to place Zara in her room.
Then she poured him tea and invited him to sit down.
They had just exchanged a few words when the doorbell suddenly rang.
Nanny Warren went to open the door.
Outside the door was Nash Spencer.
He was carrying two paintings and said, "Dr. Nash, when I picked up Zara’s painting, the exhibition mentioned that Dr. Nash had another painting, so I brought it back for you."
"Ah..."
Sabrina Hayes was momentarily stunned, then remembered which painting Nash Spencer had brought back, and suddenly felt a bit flustered.
"It really is... Thank you so much."
In front of Jasper Fitzgerald, Sabrina Hayes felt somewhat embarrassed.
Jasper Fitzgerald raised an eyebrow and asked, "Did you buy something else?"
Upon hearing this, Sabrina Hayes seemed a bit embarrassed.
But this painting had to be given away sooner or later.
Instead of finding an excuse to give the gift next time, why not just be straightforward today!
After thinking it over, Sabrina Hayes nodded and said, "Yes, I bought another one. Do you want to see it?"
Jasper Fitzgerald noticed her gaze was somewhat evasive and immediately became interested, saying, "Is it for me?"
Sabrina Hayes held the water glass. She had intended to take a sip, but due to nervousness, she held it a bit tightly.
How was Mr. Fitzgerald so clever, guessing right away?
But she decided to give it, so she simply didn’t deny it and nodded, "Yes, I saw the painting today and felt it was very suitable for you, so I bought it. I don’t really understand paintings, so I hope you don’t mind..."
Nash Spencer had already set the painting down. Jasper Fitzgerald went over, his fingers rubbing the wrapping, smiling, "For eight million, I certainly won’t mind."
It took Sabrina Hayes a moment to react; how did he know it was eight million?
She simply walked over to get the scissors and unwrapped the package. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
In a little while, a complete painting was displayed in front of Jasper Fitzgerald.
Holding a teacup, he drank while studying it carefully, then casually commented, "Though the heavens above are good, the world’s bustling beauty may mystify, and even the divine cannot escape wanting to break conventions..."
Sabrina Hayes pondered for a few seconds, wondering if this was a comment on the painting?
It truly was Mr. Fitzgerald, seeing the essence of the painting at a glance...
But why did she always feel something was not entirely right?
Perhaps seeing the doubt in her eyes, the man’s eyes revealed a hint of a smile, saying, "I quite like the painting, thank you."
Upon hearing this, the tension in Sabrina Hayes’ heart finally eased.
She immediately smiled and said, "I’m glad you like it!"
No longer holding onto that weird feeling in her heart, the two began admiring the newly bought painting together.
After a while, Sabrina Hayes turned to unwrap the one Zara was interested in.
Seeing the incomplete sunflower up close, Sabrina Hayes lamented, "If it weren’t for the small damage in the corner, this painting truly would be perfect."
Jasper Fitzgerald commented from the side, "If recreated, it could be repaired, but sometimes imperfection is an art in itself. It’s quite good this way."
Sabrina Hayes nodded, not denying it.
They chatted and helped hang Zara’s painting in the studio.
Barely finished, they heard the cry of a young child from the room.
Except for when she was a baby, Zara rarely cried upon waking, which startled Sabrina Hayes.
She hurried into the young child’s room.
"Zara, what’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare?"
The little girl, hearing her mommy’s voice, didn’t stop, sitting on the bed with tearful eyes, crying miserably.
Sabrina Hayes’ heart ached as she prepared to reach out to hold her.
Before she could do so, she saw the little girl extend her lotus root-like arms, crying out to Jasper Fitzgerald, "Daddy hug..."
