Rejected and Claimed by her Alpha Triplets-Chapter 290 - mastering spell
290
~Lisa’s POV
The night stretched into morning before I even realized it.
I had been at it for hours, sweating, panting, pushing myself to the limit. Every time I thought I was done, I just... couldn’t stop. There was something wild inside me, something burning to come out fully.
"Faster," I whispered to myself, wiping the sweat from my forehead. "You can go faster."
I took a step back, focused on the open space ahead, and felt the rush of air building around me. I closed my eyes and imagined myself gliding like the wind, light and unstoppable.
"Go," I breathed.
In an instant, the world blurred. The trees zipped past me, the ground disappeared under my feet, and I felt weightless. My heart raced. I could feel the air whipping against my face, cold and sharp.
I stopped suddenly, skidding to a halt a few feet from where I started.
A laugh burst from my lips. "Yes!" I shouted. "I did it!"
The echo of my voice rolled through the forest, and I couldn’t help it; I laughed again, louder this time. I felt alive, powerful, and free.
I tried it again, and again. Each time, I grew faster. My feet barely touched the ground before I was gone again. The air bent around me, the world becoming a blur of colors.
"Faster," I whispered, grinning. "Even faster!"
I darted through the clearing like a streak of wind, spinning, stopping, and launching forward again. I felt unstoppable.
For the first time in a long while, the pain in my chest, the ache of missing Damon, the anger toward Rowan and Kael, faded. All I could feel now was this rush, this strength that came from deep within.
"This is what I needed," I murmured, smiling to myself.
I bent my knees slightly and pushed off the ground again. The air bent around me, and I was flying. Not literally through the sky, but close enough. My feet lifted, my body moved faster than I thought possible. I zipped past trees, jumped over stones, and spun mid-air, laughing like a child.
When I stopped again, breathless and dizzy, I realized the sun was already rising. The golden light washed over the forest, painting everything in soft orange.
I sighed, smiling faintly. "Guess I’ve been at it all night."
And then, out of nowhere, clap, clap, clap.
The sound startled me. I turned quickly, my heart skipping.
Lira stood a few feet away, her arms folded and a proud smile on her face. "You’ve been at it since midnight," she said, shaking her head. "And you didn’t even notice me."
I blinked in surprise. "You were watching me?"
She chuckled softly. "Yes. I didn’t want to interrupt. You were... amazing, Lisa."
I blushed, brushing a strand of hair off my face. "I was just... trying to control it better. To move faster."
Lira smiled, walking closer. "Well, you did more than that. You’ve mastered something that takes others months."
Her words made me grin wider. "You’re proud of me?"
"I’m very proud," she said sincerely. "You’ve come a long way."
I laughed lightly. "Then wait till you see this."
She raised an eyebrow. "Oh? There’s more?"
"Yes!" I said, my eyes brightening. "I want to show you something."
She chuckled. "Lisa, I’ve seen everything. You’ve been out here all night...."
"No," I interrupted, smiling mischievously. "You haven’t seen this part yet. Come on, just watch."
Lira sighed dramatically. "Alright, alright. Show me."
I nodded, excitement running through me again. "Okay. First...." I pointed toward a group of stones nearby. "Watch this."
I stretched my hand forward, feeling the familiar warmth rise inside me. The stones trembled, then floated into the air, circling slowly in front of her.
Lira gasped softly. "You can control them now?"
"Not just control," I said proudly. "I can move them however I want."
I moved my fingers slightly, and the stones began to spin faster, forming a small ring of motion before dropping to the ground.
Lira clapped again, laughing softly. "Lisa, this is incredible."
"Oh, I’m not done yet," I said with a playful grin.
She tilted her head. "You have more?"
I nodded. "Watch this one carefully."
I turned toward a fallen branch near us. "Up," I whispered. The branch trembled, then lifted, floating higher until it hovered above our heads.
Lira’s mouth fell open slightly. "You’re serious," she breathed. "You’re doing all this without a single chant or spell."
I smirked. "Who needs spells?"
Before she could answer, I stretched my arms out again, channeling the same energy toward a nearby tree. "And this," I whispered, focusing.
The ground shivered, the tree creaked, and then slowly, it tilted before settling again.
Lira took a step back in shock. "Lisa, stop, or you’ll bring the whole forest down!"
I laughed breathlessly. "Don’t worry. I’ve got control."
"Apparently," she said, shaking her head, though a small smile lingered on her lips.
"Now," I said, lowering the branch carefully to the ground, "for the part I’m most proud of."
Lira crossed her arms. "Oh, I can’t wait."
I took a deep breath and focused on myself this time. The air around me shifted slightly, humming faintly. Lira frowned.
"What are you doing?"
"Just... wait," I said softly.
And then, I vanished from where I stood.
Lira’s eyes widened. "Lisa?"
Before she could blink twice, I was standing behind her, laughing. "Here!"
She turned around sharply. "You! How?"
I did it again, appearing to her right. "And now here!"
Lira gasped, spinning around. "Lisa, you’re moving like the wind!"
I grinned. "Exactly!"
Then I did it faster, circling her, moving so quickly she could barely track me. Leaves fluttered around her from the sudden gusts of wind.
"Stop, stop!" she laughed, holding her hair. "You’re making me dizzy!"
I stopped in front of her, panting and grinning wide. "See? I can move things and move myself."
Lira looked at me, eyes wide with pride. "Lisa... that’s.... that’s beyond what I imagined. You’re doing the impossible." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
I smiled, still catching my breath. "I didn’t even know. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. I just wanted to push myself harder."
Lira’s expression softened. "You’ve done more than enough. You’ve proved how strong you are."
I was still smiling from excitement, my body buzzing with energy after all the practice I had done through the night. The wind still moved softly around me, almost like it was obeying my command. I turned to Lira eagerly.
"So... what next?" I asked, breathing fast, my eyes shining with curiosity. "What’s the next thing I need to do?"
She smiled a little, folding her arms. "The next step is spell mastering."
I frowned immediately and pouted. "Oh no, not that. You already told me it’s hard. You said I can’t learn spells from books but from my heart."
She chuckled softly, shaking her head. "That’s true, Lisa. You can’t learn true spells just by reading them. They have to come from within you, your heart, your spirit."
"Then why do I need books?" I asked, tilting my head. "If I’m supposed to learn from my heart, what’s the point of reading them?"
"Because," she said gently, "before you can speak the language of spells from your heart, you need to understand their roots, their nature, their meaning. The books teach you those basics. They help you understand how to build power, how to control it, and how to make it yours."
I looked at her, thinking about it for a moment. "So the books are just... like a guide?"
"Exactly," Lira said, smiling proudly. "They guide you until your heart takes over. Once you know the foundation, your spirit starts to shape the words itself. That’s how true spell mastering begins."
