Reincarnation Paradise Park-Chapter 827 - 58: Component Analysis
Several hours later, outside the ancient ruins, over a hundred Contractors moved into the site, dressed in various ways, some in suits, others in leather armor.
A Mage Lord walked at the forefront of the Contractors. He was the Fire Mage who had vied with Su Xiao for the "Holy Oak Tree Trunk."
The Fire Mage’s name was Yan Chen, which was his real name, not a nickname or alias.
For Yan Chen, there was no need to use a fake name. Most Contractors use aliases to avoid being recognized in the real world and potentially putting their families or friends in danger.
Yan Chen was different; he had no family. His family was mostly dead, killed by his own hands, except for his younger sister, whom he didn’t kill.
When Yan Chen killed his own kin, he only felt exhilarated. To Yan Chen, they were all strangers, no, they were enemies.
Yan Chen grew up in an orphanage, with no real family ties to those people. Besides, they did too many horrific things for the large inheritance he was to receive, including hiring people to kidnap and torture him.
Yan Chen’s only remaining family was his sister, who was also a Contractor.
Yan Chen showed tendencies of being a Sister Control, perhaps because he had never experienced familial love, or maybe for other reasons, Yan Chen was obsessed with his sister.
Yan Chen was powerful; he thrived in Reincarnation Paradise and formed a large adventure group called "Mingmen Adventure Group," the only large adventure group from Reincarnation Paradise in this World Struggle War, second-tier large groups were rare.
"Finally, it’s about to begin. That woman, Xi, has been quite active lately."
Yan Chen held a Golden Quality Wand and wore three pieces of Dark Purple quality attire. His Intelligence Attribute reached as high as 80 points, with his stamina at 71 points.
Not only was Yan Chen a Mage Lord, but he was also a rare Magic resistance among mages.
"Brother, can I kill someone?"
A twin-tailed girl asked; she was Yan Chen’s sister.
Upon hearing his sister’s words, Yan Chen frowned while the faces of other nearby Contractors changed.
"Yes."
"Great."
The twin-tailed girl raised her arms high. A Bloody Scythe appeared in her hands.
A woman in an office lady outfit leaned close to Yan Chen’s ear.
"Boss, is this... okay? Qianxi might go into a killing frenzy and attack us."
The woman in the office lady outfit looked at twin-tailed Qianxi with lingering fear, recalling how she narrowly escaped death by her hands in a Derivative World.
"It’s fine." Yan Chen turned his head to look at Qianxi, continuing, "Qianxi, don’t kill our own people."
"Okay, I’ll do my best."
The scythe rotated in Qianxi’s hands as she skipped towards the interior of the ancient ruins.
"Kill one, kill two, la la la~"
Watching the distant figure of Qianxi, a smile appeared on Yan Chen’s face, while the woman in the office lady outfit sighed helplessly. She was a Charism Specialized Contractor, thus relatively safe within the group, keeping her mentally stable and with an unaltered perspective. Being a normal person with a neutral perspective, the office lady felt quite hopeless. Her boss Yan Chen was somewhat abnormal, and as for his sister, she was a monster hiding behind a beautiful façade.
The members of the Mingmen Adventure Group gradually delved deeper into the ancient ruins. Meanwhile, a ghost-like figure emerged from the ground.
"A total of 186 people; these must be the subordinates of ’Mage No.1.’
The ghostly figure was Liu Li, who astonishingly used a special ability to enter the ancient ruins.
"Another group is coming? This time... just two people."
Liu Li vanished into the broken remains, as two female Contractors stepped into the ruins.
"Really, I said to add salt, but you insisted on sugar, unbelievable."
A female Contractor dressed in tight-fitting battle attire with black gloves approached, playing with a gold coin in her hand.
"I like sweets, what can I do?"
A drowsy-looking soft sister, dressed in a onesie with a hood, strolled over. At the edge of her hood, a slender antennae protruded.
"Hmh? Someone is watching us?"
The soft sister stopped in her tracks, several insect legs emerged around her on the ground.
"No worries, I noticed it earlier."
The two women walked deeper into the ancient ruins; they were the imposters Ada and Insect Girl who had previously faced Su Xiao.
...
Successively, Contractors from Reincarnation Paradise entered the ancient ruins. They all had the same destination, the Dusk Palace at the center. Previously, Su Xiao had posted a map on the war channel, making their target clearer.
Under the threat of forced execution, the Contractors from Reincarnation Paradise took less than 24 hours, gathering within 20 hours inside the ancient ruins.
Over seven hundred Contractors gathered near the Dusk Palace. Among these over seven hundred people were nine adventure groups, eight medium-sized and one large, and as for small adventure groups, none had been seen yet. Many ad-hoc teams of Loners, however, were present.
This large-scale battle was naturally commanded by the leaders of various adventure groups, given their many subordinates. Of course, some powerful Loners also had a voice.
On the seventh floor of Dusk Palace, dozens of people gathered, including nine leaders, three Loners, and the confidants of those leaders.
The dozens of people were either standing or sitting on the seventh floor, with some playing with cards and others dismantling guns.
"What’s that strange smell?"
A Contractor spoke, furrowing his brow, his face contorting, likely having a cleanliness obsession.
"Yes, I smelled a strange odor when I came in."
"Seems like it’s coming from near the throne."
"Shall we check it out?"
"This... might not be a good idea."
The Contractors engaged in discussion, when a Loner stepped out from among them, unconcerned with the leaders’ orders.
"Gray Bear, who gave you permission to approach the throne?"
A blonde woman spoke; she was named Nasha, leader of the Fantasy Land adventure team. She had once contested with Su Xiao for the "Holy Oak Tree Trunk." Her brother was the boy named Taichikarao, whom Su Xiao had deceived.
"Tsk."
Lone Ranger Grey Bear glanced at Nasha without concern, as he approached the throne, avoiding the skeletal remains, circling around the throne to search. Soon, he noticed a suspicious liquid on the side of the throne.
"What’s this?"
Grey Bear crouched down, examining the suspicious liquid on the ground. This guy had guts; while most Contractors were cautious of unknown things, Grey Bear was different, having relied on sheer courage to make it through.
"Could it be something flowing out of the throne?"
A Contractor behind Grey Bear had an intriguing look; they had observed the skeletal remains on the throne and preliminarily judged it to be something not to be trifled with.
Grey Bear’s finger dipped into the liquid on the ground, remarking seriously, "No corrosiveness, no toxins."
After making this preliminary judgment, Grey Bear put the finger dipped in ’Unknown Liquid’ into his mouth, his oral cavity having been enhanced to analyze over a thousand elemental compositions.
"What’s the taste? Any attribute-boosting rewards?"
Taichikarao leaned in; the Minotaur Lord’s Arm Armor on his hand was quite conspicuous.
"Salty, I’ll analyze it carefully."
Grey Bear closed his eyes to sense the composition of the unknown liquid. As he sensed, his complexion turned increasingly greenish, veins popping on his forehead: urea + uric acid + creatine and creatinine + amino acids + ammonia + β-hydroxybutyric acid + inorganic salts + water + trace elements = urine!
"Damn it!"
A roar spread through the seventh floor of the Dusk Palace, followed by a burst of laughter.
