Reincarnation Of The Strongest Spirit Master-Chapter 1510: Anjie and Lara!
Anjie knew she was pouring her rage onto them, yet she didn’t feel much guilt; they deserved every bit of it for their short-sightedness.
"I know my man," she said, slowly sitting back down, though her posture remained as rigid as stone. Her eyes drifted toward the window, looking out over her developing territory as if she were seeing through the veil of the future.
"He is the most formidable genius the entire realms have ever seen! I can read his mind. He isn’t just saving a world; he is building a base of operations for the future."
She paused, a chill running down the spines of her advisors. "He will make the best use of this world. No, not only this world, but all the smaller worlds he’d gain access to through the Medium World he is currently trying his hardest to control.
He will use all of this to prepare massive armies and harvest resources. He is planning for the biggest foe of all—the one whose shadow he has been chasing since the very first day I laid my eyes on him. And now..."
Getting away from her future thoughts, she recalled the current bitter reality she was forced into thanks to her advisors. Her voice rose, echoing off the high ceilings of her throne room.
"Thanks to you and your stupid decisions, we ended up forging a third formidable force, a second thorn on my side! I was having my fill with Lara, and now you added another troublemaker to the chessboard... What idiots you are! What an idiot I was to listen to your advice and not follow my instincts!!"
The advisors bowed their heads, trembling as Anjie’s spirit pressure flared. They had gambled on the allure and prestige of the old royal bloodline, assuming the others would naturally gravitate toward the most legitimate successor.
They hadn’t accounted for the shift in the world—a shift where power was no longer measured by ancient crowns, but by the proximity to the Fox Guild’s core.
As Anjie was fuming in rage over her loss, Lara sat inside her city with a big smile on her face. She was looking at the latest intelligence reports delivered by her scouts, and for the first time in weeks, she felt a sense of genuine amusement.
"That Panther... He must have seen through the future possibilities and knew if he failed to rope them in with his Ro’s ship, the new city would decline eventually!" Lara muttered to herself. She was surrounded by the most trustworthy force leaders in her city, men and women who had stood by her even when the sky was falling.
"Isn’t it bad news, My Lady?" one of them asked, looking perplexed by her good mood. "If the girls had joined us instead, then we’d have risen far beyond what we even imagined. We would have held the monopoly on the new world’s development."
"That’s true, still," Lara sighed, cursing inwardly at her initial stupidity and lack of foresight in the world’s affairs. She leaned back, her eyes reflecting the glowing crystals that lit her hall.
"When I held much power, I acted a bit arrogantly with many of them. I wrongly thought the world would continue to smile at me, and that the future would always bring better events and news to my faction and city. Yet I ended up suffering hard... But I learned from the lesson."
Her thoughts drifted to how things had turned upside down faster than she could even move a finger to do anything.
"To me, letting them group together is far better than watching them join Anjie," Lara explained, her smile sharpening. "Now, two of the future Fox Guild’s powers—the Academy and the Impact—will belong to the new Scorching Lands city. And the third, the most vital one, will belong to us!"
"Did you speak with William about it? To confirm his intentions?" one leader asked, as this was a delicate matter that their city’s future depended entirely on. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"No need to," Lara shrugged with total confidence. "We have the underground city and the portal linking us to the upper realm. William won’t pick another place for the guild’s true heart!
Don’t forget, he already established a town for the guild nearby. All we need to do is use this new surge of building and renovation. We will continue to expand solely in the direction of his guild town, until we merge it within our city boundaries!"
This was her master plan once the surge of refugees began to arrive. She had given strict orders to her architects and city planners: do not expand the city aside from that sole direction. Every brick laid and every wall raised was to be directed toward the Fox Guild’s town, a few tens of miles away.
She knew William’s mind well enough to know how highly he valued her underground city’s portal. It was the only stable bridge to the upper realm. She also expected the same actions from him as Anjie did; she knew William wasn’t just passing through.
So, whoever held this portal would have a long-term say in the matters of the world! William would depend entirely on this portal to move back and forth, and to move his forces through it when the time for the final war came.
"He will establish the guild’s main base in my city," Lara firmly said, her voice ringing with certainty.
"Even if he picked another spot for the guild headquarters, he’d still highly prioritise my city for the portal’s location and importance. In any situation, we’ll keep rising, while Anjie would be left only with what was left to her from her fallen kingdom’s scraps..."
"She’ll have a nice start at first," a leader noted, following Lara’s logic. "She has the wealth and the foundation of the fallen kingdom. Yet in the long term, she is destined to keep falling and failing! Without William’s backing and the low importance of her faction to play in the new world, she has no chance at all."
