Chapter 77: Cursed Lineage

"Since that day, Sword Saints have been branded as a disgraceful blessing."

"But history does not say they were weak."

"It says they failed once... and could not forgive themselves."

"But still," Akira continued, pacing slowly in front of the class, "as the years passed, it was discovered that Sword Saints have been getting weaker. Year by year. Generation by generation."

He stopped and faced them.

"That is why they are now classified as one of the weakest blessings."

Murmurs spread across the classroom.

"But do not misunderstand," Akira added. "Some Sword Saints are still talented. Rare ones exist. However, as a whole, their lineage has declined."

Rowan watched him calmly.

"So now, what do I mean when I say you must understand your blessing?" Akira said. "You must understand your limits. Your capability. You must not chase a path that is beyond you."

He pointed at the board.

"If you are a Swordman, you should never dream of becoming a high-rank adventurer. You will only get yourself killed."

His voice hardened.

"That is reality."

Rowan leaned back in his chair.

Sword Saints getting weaker every year...

That’s a bold claim.

But he knew it was true.

In this world.

In my old world... Sword Saints were monsters.

Rowan closed his eyes.

Before I reincarnated, I was already a Sword Saint.

Not just in title — in power.

And that power is still with me.

The difference is this world’s Sword Saints are nothing like the ones from my world.

When I watched them during the assessment... their aura was thin. Weak. Shallow.

In my old world, Swordmen which we’re respected.

They were called Samurai.

They had no blessing system. No divine titles.

Only technique.

Only discipline.

Only the sword.

And yet, they could hunt lesser demons.

Rowan’s gaze sharpened.

If I had been born in this world normally... I would have been weak too.

Because my father is a Sword God.

And I would have inherited the Sword God blessing.

But fate didn’t choose that path.

I came here as a Sword Saint — with my old power intact.

And that makes all the difference.

"So now," Akira said, adjusting his glasses, "the best choice for all of you right now is to understand your position."

He slowly walked across the classroom.

"I heard there are some among you who can already release your aura."

Several students straightened.

"That is outstanding. Truly outstanding. It means you had a good teacher from an early age. That alone puts you far ahead of others."

He turned toward the board.

"But there are also many of you who still cannot release aura yet."

He waved his hand casually.

"Don’t worry. You will learn. Just not in this class."

Some students sighed in relief.

"I don’t have time to teach aura control here," Akira continued. "But in our next class, I will teach you how to release your mana and aura."

He tapped his chest.

"Once you learn how to release it, your speed increases. Your strength increases. Your agility increases. Even your thinking speed improves. Your mind processes things faster. Your reflexes sharpen."

The class listened carefully.

"That alone is what makes a swordsman truly strong."

Akira closed his book.

"For now, use the remaining time to read your books or rest. I don’t plan on staying long."

He turned back toward them.

"But before I leave... does anyone have a question?"

The room went silent. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

Then a hand slowly rose.

Rowan.

"Yes," Akira said. "You."

Rowan stood.

"There’s something you said earlier about Sword Saints and Sword Gods. Was everything you said true?"

Akira nodded.

"And another thing," Rowan continued. "I read in a book that a Sword God can defeat a Demon Lord. Is that true?"

The class held its breath.

Akira smiled faintly.

"Good question."

He crossed his arms.

"What I told you about Sword Saints is true."

Then his expression turned serious.

"And no. A Sword God cannot defeat a Demon Lord alone. No matter how strong he is."

Murmurs spread.

"To defeat a Demon Lord is not a one-man task."

Akira walked toward the window.

"When the Church summons a Hero, they usually assign six Sword Gods to support him. Sometimes Sword Lords as well."

He looked back at the class.

"Even the Hero alone is not capable of defeating a Demon Lord."

The tension thickened.

"The Demon Lord is extremely powerful. Demons are superior beings. They are not just strong — they are gifted beyond any other race. Humans. Elves. Beastfolk. None compare."

He paused.

"Is that all you wanted to know?"

"Yes. Thank you," Rowan said, sitting down.

Akira nodded.

"Good."

He picked up his book.

Akira stopped at the door.

"One more thing before I take my leave."

The entire class went silent again.

"The current Demon Lord... is not ordinary."

His voice lowered.

"In fact, he is far too powerful."

Some students swallowed.

"In the last thirty years, we have summoned countless Heroes. We have sent countless Sword Gods and elite warriors to challenge him."

Akira clenched his fist.

"And every single one of them... was killed."

Shock rippled through the room.

"But that is not all."

He turned back toward the class.

"It is said this Demon Lord is not a pure demon."

Murmurs spread.

"According to ancient records, he is half demon... and half archangel."

The classroom froze.

Someone whispered, "What...?"

A student raised his hand. "What do you mean, sir?"

Akira nodded.

"To be precise... he is the child of a fallen archangel."

The tension grew thicker.

"An archangel cast down from heaven... who took a Demon Queen as his mate."

Gasps filled the room.

"The archangel possessed a divine sword-eye. The Demon Queen carried the blood of the abyss. Their child inherited both divine and demonic power."

Akira’s eyes darkened.

"That child became the strongest existence in the world."

A cold chill ran through the class.

"That is why Heroes are useless against him."

"That is why even Sword Gods fall."

"The holy sword cannot erase him... because he carries both divine and evil aura."

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Akira turned toward the door.

"If there are no more questions, I will take my leave."
