Reincarnation Of The Legendary Sword Saint-Chapter 71: Blessing Trial
The reaction was immediate.
Gasps.
Whispers.
Shock.
"But more than that," Velqira continued, her eyes scanning the sea of students, "I look forward to training alongside all of you. I hope we can grow stronger together."
She smiled.
"And thank you... for choosing this academy."
Then she performed a light, elegant bow.
The hall erupted.
Thunderous applause filled the room.
Students clapped wildly.
Some stood.
Others cheered.
Even Rowan joined in, clapping calmly as he watched her from his seat, his eyes sharp and unreadable.
Velqira slowly straightened, her gaze sweeping the hall.
For just a moment—
Her eyes met Rowan’s.
And she froze.
Just for a fraction of a second.
...It’s really him.
The boy from four years ago.

Kyle nodded respectfully. Velqira returned the nod, then walked down the stairs and took a seat among the nobles in the front row.
The hall buzzed with excitement.
"Well... that was beautiful."
"That was a perfect speech ."
"Just as expected of the princess."
Kyle stepped forward again, clapping his hands together to regain everyone’s attention.
"Well then. Now that the formalities are done, it’s time for the real business."
The atmosphere instantly shifted.
"Every single one of you here will now be tested. This test will determine your class placement."
Students straightened in their seats.
"You will proceed through the door on the right side of the hall," Kyle continued, pointing. "Inside, there are instructors and academy staff waiting. You will touch the blessing crystal, and your sword blessing will be revealed."
The hall fell silent.
"You will learn what type of sword blessing you possess. If you do not have a sword blessing, you cannot remain in this academy. However, even a basic swordsman blessing is enough to qualify."
Nervous murmurs spread.
Kyle raised his voice.
"So—everyone, stand up and proceed to the testing hall."
Chairs scraped against the floor as students stood.
Rowan rose calmly with the others.
The massive side doors opened.
One by one, the students began walking forward, forming long lines as they passed through the doorway.
Rowan stepped through as well.
Beyond the door awaited instructors, staff, glowing crystals—and the first true trial of the Royal Academy.
Inside the testing hall stood nearly ten academy staff members.
A female instructor stood at the front, calm and composed. Beside her were several male instructors, each wearing academy robes with sword insignias.
The moment the students entered, she raised her hand.
"Welcome, everyone."
The hall fell silent.
"This year’s intake is smaller than usual. Only thirty applicants have passed the initial screening."
Murmurs spread.
"In front of you are ten blessing crystals," she continued. "The first ten students, step forward."
Ten students moved ahead, each with different expressions—some nervous, some confident, some proud.
Before them stood ten massive crystal spheres mounted on stone pedestals.
One by one, they placed their hands on the crystals.
The staff observed closely.
Then—
The crystals began to glow.
Eight glowed white.
One glowed red.
One glowed yellow.
The instructor nodded.
"The eight whose crystals glowed white will be placed in the Swordsman Class."
Some students lowered their heads in disappointment.
She turned to the one whose crystal glowed red.
"You will enter the Sword God Class."
Gasps filled the hall.
Then she turned to the one whose crystal glowed yellow.
"And you will enter the Sword Lord Class."
The yellow-blessing student smirked. "Just as I expected," he said casually, slipping his hands into his pockets.
He walked away without another word.
More students stepped forward.
Then—
A boy named Neville stepped ahead and accidentally stepped on another student’s foot.
"I—I’m sorry," Neville said quickly. "It was a mistake."
The boy he stepped on, Daryl, grabbed his collar and shoved him backward.
"Can’t you watch where you’re going?" Daryl snapped.
"I said I’m sorry," Neville replied, lowering his head.
"That’s not enough," Daryl sneered. "Do you know who I am? Do you know what family I’m from? You low noble trash."
Daryl raised his fist.
Neville closed his eyes.
"I’m sorry..." he whispered.
Then—
A hand caught Daryl’s wrist mid-air.
"Hey."
The voice was calm.
Everyone turned.
Rowan stood there, his grip firm around Daryl’s arm.
"That’s enough," Rowan said.
Daryl tried to pull away.
He couldn’t.
His eyes widened.
"What the hell—?! Let go of me!" Daryl shouted.
Rowan released him.
Daryl stumbled back, furious.
"How dare you touch me?!" he roared. "What noble family are you from to think you can lay hands on me?!"
Rowan met his gaze calmly.
"My father is a viscount."
Daryl laughed.
"A viscount? You think a low noble like you belongs in a prestigious academy like this?"
Rowan turned away.
"I don’t have time for rubbish like you."
"Hey! I’m still talking to you!" Daryl shouted.
Rowan didn’t stop walking.
He headed toward the blessing crystals.
Unbothered.
Unimpressed.
"If you walk away, I’m not done talking to you," Daryl muttered through clenched teeth.
That bastard...
"Don’t worry. I’ll watch. Let’s see what kind of blessing he really has."
The testing continued.
More students stepped forward.
One by one, hands pressed against the crystal spheres.
White lights.
Yellow lights.
Then—golden light.
The staff announced calmly.
"The three whose crystals glowed white will enter the Swordsman Class."
Murmurs followed.
"The three whose crystals glowed yellow will enter the Sword Lord Class."
Gasps spread.
"And the two whose crystals glowed gold are confirmed Sword Saints."
Excitement rippled through the hall.
