Reincarnated Into a Shounen Anime-Chapter 41: Exchange
"Alright students. Since this is done, you all will now be taking a medicinal bath to reap maximum benefit from your training."
Rayna paused, then looked at Alex from above the rock.
"And Alexander. You may have noticed but let me blunt. Your will is already extremely strong. So there is nothing to teach you at the moment. And I will not go out of my way to do something extra for you. That would be unfair to my other students. So, you can either leave or stay. That’s up to you."
With that, Rayna turned her head away from Alex and started briefing the students about the procedures.
Alex in the side, looked over to his friends, then the other students. He thought for he moment before he bid goodbye to them and exited by pulling up his Student ID UI and choosing the [Exit] option.
Rings of white and silver light flashed from beneath him and he disappeared shortly after.
=====
Alex opened his eyes in a familiar white hall. Rows and rows of columns and mist covered ceiling.
Alexander The Great Hall was as active as ever. Students of all the years coming here to train in the training grounds. Murmurs of countless students overlapped. A sense of busyness permeating through the air.
Alex stood their for few moments turning on his heels and walking towards the exit.
He exited the building and stopped near a vending machine. He would go home after he got some drinks for himself.
"What should I get for you Senior?"
Alex turned to look at the person who had been following him since he left the Hall and asked with bored tone.
"Milk."
She said with a blank face. Alex have her a deep gaze because that’s not what he expected from a vampire. He felt a small urge to ask his milk or normal.
But he wasn’t in the mood so he started to look if there was any milk. And surprisingly, there was. Clicked the buttons and the milk bottle fell, which Alex handed over after taking it out.
"I’m sorry to ask but... what was your name again?"
Alex couldn’t remember the name of the white haired vampire Princesses name much. And he didn’t want to massacre her name like he does normally.
"... Its Lilienthalia Evernight Perdurant... you might be the first person to ever forget Mt name... interesting. But you know, there was someone like you who tried that tactic-"
"Alright Senior Lilienthalia? Did I say that correctly...? But yes. There is something I can help... you with?"
Alex cut off Lilienthalia mid story telling, which made her close her mouth before she nodded. Her expression unreadable.
"I wanted to know more about you."
"Ooook? ... you know that the way you phrased in is kinda weird and can give wrong ideas to hopeful men."
"Doesn’t seem to happen with you."
"That’s because I’m not hopeful men. But regardless, you still haven’t clarified why you were following me. And please. Spare me any nonsense. I’m not in the mood for that."
Alex said with an irritated expression as he sipped his drink. And it irritated him even more. He could taste it, but there was always this feeling on his tounge that it was not actually getting touched by the food and he couldn’t savour the taste.
There was a moment of silence between them Lilienthalia intently studied the junior infront of her, whom seemed to be irritated by her interface with whatever he was set out to do. That was a first to her.
No had ever treated her like that. But that wasn’t the main interesting thing. 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
’I can’t smell his blood...’
She noted with curious expression. Hiding the smell was one thing, but missing entirely was a whole different beast.
’I need to know why.’
Lilienthalia decided. She was feeling extremely curious. And her thirst for blood reigniting after a long time.
She wanted to taste how Alex’s blood tasted. She felt her throat go dry. So she chugged down few gulps of milk and looked Alex directly into the eye.
"Let’s exchange contact info because I think that-"
"Sure."
’...’
Alex said curtly and held out his phone. Lilienthalia slowly closed her mouth. Looking at Alex’s phone then back at his bored face. Like he was dealing with an annoying child.
’I got cut off again...’
Lilienthalia felt dissatisfaction building up inside her. But she nodded and exchanged info. Looking at the new contact info other than the existing ten, made her feel a bit excited.
Although there were many people after her, she barely acknowledged any of them.
She looked up to the Alex who was also looking at his phone. He nodded and tucked it inside his pocket.
"Alright Senior aaa... hmm. Just message me when you wish to talk. But not today. I do not want to be disturbed. Goodbye."
Alex waved at her and started walking away. She waved back slowly.
"...He forgot my name again..."
Lilienthalia felt conflicted. No man ever managed to make her feel that way. She knew that another man would be dying to talk to her. Even though she liked to talk, she didn’t talk to anyone. Or all the time. Only with the people she is comfortable with and in some occasions where she shares a bit of her mind with others.
But it’s a first when someone actually didn’t want to listen to her.
Lilienthalia gazed at Alex’s departing back with blank expression. Her expression stayed the same. Never changing throughout the conversation at all.
She turned around as well. Her training was done for the day and Student Council works were still pending. She needed to attend to them.
And now that she thought about it, she has no idea what to even talk about with Alex to begin with.
Lilienthalia sighed. Students passing by but ignoring her. As if not being able to she her at all.
Her shadow suddenly started to undulating back tenderloins before they slowly moved towards her and wrapped around her body. She got fully engulfed and the tenderloins pulled her into the shadow. Making her disappear from the area.
She reappeared in the Student Council President’s office...
